Thanks for the feedback! I used to get pad drag on rotors all the time on my RSV4 so I saw how Moss mounted his calipers and it helped. Didn’t eliminate the issue but it got better. As far as a valve adjustment, I think that’s a good idea. I’ll just have to bleep a lot of the audio because that’s not fun job for me.
I have Tuono 660 and find you videos really helpful. I plan on doing this kind of maintenance by myself, my only problem is not having a bench and storing my bike in common building garage :)
Glad to hear the videos help! Maybe a rolling tool box could help in that situation. You’ll have to plan your project carefully but you should be able to do most modifications in a day so you don’t have parts all over the place.

Thanks for watching! My disc seems to be wearing at a normal rate but it's my understanding is that aggressive race pads can potentially cause earlier wear on discs. Which makes sense because the pad material needs to be abrasive in order to increase braking performance.
good stuff. what fluid are you going to run? one thing i’ll do (because i cry a little inside when i scratch my bike) is put some painters tape on the wheel to help avoid the caliper scratching it. then when you pull the caliper off, angle it out and it will spread the pads a little via the rotor and also give you an angle to hopefully avoid rim scratches. also, that bike stand is wild! 😂

So far so good, but I was changing to a softer compound pirelli and I thought let’s try something different. Git the same ones you did. Going on a 21 gsxr600, can’t wait. But the bite already is crazy good
I had a gsxr 750 and the brakes were always a weak point on that bike so good call with the upgrades. So far, I’m super impressed with these pads. They don’t have a super aggressive bite which I prefer and they do do well and feel consistent on all temps.
Hey bro! I'm looking to get a better rear rotor. Do know any companies that make lighter rotors for out bike? I winded up messing up my rear rotors. So instead of replacing with OEM. I figured why not try to get a better rear rotor if they make it. Well at least a lighter one. thanks
You can get a lightweight rotor from Norton Motorsports. There’s less rotor material so you’ll have to press harder on the brake lever compared to oem. Which also makes it harder to accidentally lock the rear wheel. And the rotor looks cool which is a bonus.
Thanks for watching! They’re Armour Bodies. I bought them from Woodcraft CFM in the US but I’m sure you can find them elsewhere. The oem seat fits nicely. They have an option for a fiberglass seat pan if you prefer that.
They’re actually pretty great! They’ve held up really well in the high heat and under race conditions. Felt really consistent throughout my races. I’d buy them again.

After your first race, did you experience any fading or overheating on the brakes? Are your rotors and brake fluid the stock ones? Last track day my brakes where fading and overheating.
I didn’t experience any fade. Or, at least not enough to be concerned about. My rotors aren’t stock but that wouldn’t make much of a difference. The biggest difference in heat dissipation are the pads and fluid choice.
SkwidVids, man if I use the bike both street and track which breakpads do you recommend, beside this WRP maybe a three or four options if its possible (street agressive, on track trying to get better lap time but with out modifications)
If you’re looking to get the WRP brand, the Sinter (not dual sinter) is the better option for street use. OEM pads are actually pretty good but I ride in high temperatures so I needed a pad that could offer good performance at those high temps.
I don’t recall the part number. I just went to the Moto-d website. I left the rear stock. I don’t think my right foot is sensitive enough to notice the difference between pads.
Those vents are from Strauss. They made killer carbon components but I don’t even know if they’re in business anymore. To be honest, I don’t think they’re necessary. Even for racing but if you want to get some anyway, I believe there are a couple of manufacturers who make them now.
That’s an interesting question because it’s not one that can be answered with a simple yes or no without needing more context. It’s all about perspective and preference. Considering it’s a parallel twin and not an an-inline 4, I’m impressed with the power.
It’s called an ABBA Skylift. It’s great if you have a garage and you wrench a lot but it’s too heavy to transport so you can’t use it as a lift for track days or racing.

Great video! Do you also squeeze the brake lever like you did with the other side to even it out?
Thank you! Yep, you squeeze the lever until pressure returns to the lever, then you tighten the caliper bolts. You do that on both sides.
