What did you think about the trailer?
The elements of the trailer were enough to get me on board to see it. Other than the lack of a full-on goth monotone I did notice that their relationship will be flushed out VS the original we only got glimpses of it through his memory flashbacks. I also noticed during that scene where an individual is talking to him while surrounded by crows made me believe that his spirit is in another plain of existence and then when falls into the water he wakes up alive in his body. I wish they kept the white portion of his makeup for his face. Also to be fair the original didn't follow beat for beat with how Eric and Shelly died. In the Graphic novel, Eric was shot in the back of the head still breathing but paralyzed, and saw her getting beaten and SA'd before dying. He ended up dying at the hospital.
I think it’s going to be a fantastic movie, while I love the original I don’t see the hate for the new one , we haven’t even seen the movie so we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover
To all my fellow OG Crow fans. I feel you. I saw the first movie when it came out at the theater. Opening day. Was blown away and totally captivated by it. Now lets get real on what we got here. This trailer all by its little self completely outshines every single crow movie since the first two in every way. All of the sequels minus City of Angels were trash. Making you want a real film!! Well this is that. It isnt and wasnt intended to be a reboot of the first movie. The producer and Lions Gate stated it was an adaptation on the original Obarr comic series. Which is fair game. Obarr had many takes on his character and the characters looks and there were even female crow ideas floating around that were perfectly okay. This movie is following the original movies platform by being edgy for its time period and made for that generation. The first movie was very gothic and had that grungy feeling and soundtrack. This fits for the time its in to. I loved the intro of the Ozzy collaboration in this. It felt right for this movie. I didnt expect this to be Brandon lees version of the character. Nor the exact story as told in that movie. This looks good and I will go see it at the movies just like I did the first movie and City Of Angels.
Fun fact: Bill Skarsgard is in such amazing shape because when filming The Crow he had just finished a film called Boy kills world which is the film he got ripped for. In fact he didn't like being so in shape for playing Eric Draven, he thought that as Eric he should have had a more scrawny physique which is interesting.
I was hoping y'all would drop a reaction to this trailer. I like the thought of it being a re-telling. Bill Skarsgard has reshaped himself in this character, the timing of the release in the summer will have me definitely checking for this movie.
Definitely, Bonnie! And yea, there is more than one way to tell a story. I actually appreciate it more for not being an on the nose remake.
I have watched about five or six reviews of this trailer and yours is the first and on,y positive one I have seen and frankly, I agree wih you. I appreciate this is not for the GenX crowd it’s for the new and I am still here for it. I like to see the originality.

Please rewatch the original! It would have been amazing if they made The Crow, but with another love story and names. The crow can bring anyone back. Plus, he doesn't wear the make-up until the last fight.
The creator said that the earlier makeup was more like transition and so the final makeup is the final piece of the transition. And yes- we’re rewatching it!

I’m a die hard fan of the original movie. It’s one of my all time favorite movies & I used to dress up as Eric Draven for Halloween. RIP Brandon Lee always ❤️❤️
With that being said, I’m beyond excited for this adaptation. I don’t really mind this Eric’s look tbh. In fact, I like that they didn’t have Bill’s Eric look like Brandon’s Eric. It’s like it’s a new movie inspired by the original. This version is supposed to follow closely to the comic’s version so I’m excited to see the comic brought to life.
People were complaining that this reminded them too much of the Joker but that makes sense because The Crow is originally a comic 😂 so I really am not understanding the hate. I just hope they pay respects to the original as well as Brandon Lee.

We need to rewatch it. I literally was like 9 😂 and yes, rest in peace to Brandon Lee 🖤 I’m glad to see someone who is a fan actually like it! It’s like- you were mad that they were going to do a remake and we see that it’s not a remake, you’re mad it’s not the same as the original. You can’t have it both ways!

Exactly. As much as I love the original, this one also looks fun to me. I mean, it looks a lot more better than most of the recent Hollywood shit. And I like the more action-oriented take on the character as well. As I said..... looks like a fun watch to me.

notice the guns and gore? I’m also the furthest thing from woke. I do have two daughters who i’m thrilled will get to have an Eric Draven of their own. What they find appealing to the eye compared to what we found appealing 20 years ago clearly are not going to look the same.

I think those of us who haven’t seen the original since we were kids, we enjoyed this trailer more than the hardcore fans. 😂 I thought the trailer looked bad ass … yes, I’m not a huge fan of his look, but it doesn’t kill it for me. Lol. I love the Post Malone/Ozzy song, so that didn’t hurt either. 😆

First of all I recently stumbled upon your channel while searching for the Late Night With the Devil trailer and really love the vibe of your reviews.
Here’s one thing to keep in mind, Bill Skarsgard was also in another movie that had fans questioning the look of it. That was 2017’s “IT” And we know his Pennywise was its own thing yet totally on point. This trailer looks pretty good.

I like the direction they are taking the detective he has the smoking problem like Ernie Hudson’s character and is having the same type of relationship he did with Eric in the show and TV movie he is like I killed you while smoking and all that smoke in the air and Eric showing up at the window with the gun lines up perfectly with Ernie and Marc

Not really sure where the john wick.idea comes from. There was a nice scene from the OG brandon lee The crow film where he went at it with top dollars crew using duel wield pistols and and a sword makes me wonder if john wick and brandon lees crow were released at the same time would people say the same thing...
Ive been saying the same thing..anyone can youtube "The Crow Top Dollars Place" and see 94 Crow was Wick before Wick!! That whole sequence would fit in any John Wick movie seemlessly
I’m super hyped for this I’m loving everyone calling this John wick because lions gate got it and bill is playing Eric it’s a lot of the show and salvation mixed together that is why I’m super excited for this
This is one storyline they can go with we open the movie on grace and Gabriel and grace gives tattoos to bill and then we get a tie into city of angels and the start of the movie does her ties to Sarah Shelly Eric Ashe and we get some flash back clips to the first 2 movies then we get to the point of bill taking the name eric with his girlfriend or wife and they become Eric and Shelly as witnesses protection program and the movie goes it’s own direction from there Eric gets arrested when he comes back to life and a cop in the prison is killed by his own people and we get 2 storylines going on in the same movie and it will all tie back into Eric Shelly and Ashe I can see this being that

Wick comparisons are not fair..the 94 Crow was Wick before Wick. Simply youtube "The Crow Top Dollars Place" the whole fight sequence includes guns, sword play and hand to hand virtualy Wick before Wick in 1994

My expectations were so low they were on the floor. It looks better than I thought it would. If you compare it to Brandon Lee's it's probably gonna trash in comparison. But thats not the source material, the original comic is. With that in mind I'll almost definitely see it. I like Skarsgard and Danny Houston can play a hell of a villain.

The show did a TV movie as well that was a remake of the Brandon lee movie to tie into the show’s storyline and universe they were the only one to remake the Brandon lee movie this isn’t touching it
Fortunately, as a Movie fan that has seen tons of action movies, there is nothing here i haven't seen before or done better! If they take the Crow Mythos out of it, its just a typical modern revenge film. If it is, I'm tired of it just like I got Tired of The last two John Wicks! This 💩 literally makes me want to rewatch the original 10 times just to get this out of my head🤨👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾

Theyve ruined this. This would be good if they made it its own thing and didnt try to attach the crow to it.

Stop comparing it to Brandon Lee and trust me the cringe will fade away. Look up the actual source material in the comics cuz that's what they used for this movie.
