When Neo flexes and the walls bow has to be the coolest representation of power in the Matrix!
that is one of the coolest reps of anything in cinema, ever. Excellent idea on the filmmakers part there, to incorporate that detail. Goes along with the next gen. of everything with this movie though.

I watched this in the cinema on the day it was released in 1999 with my youngest daughter. I love how all these 20 somethings are now getting to see this groundbreaking movie.
Opening night, Edwards Eight Cinema, Camarillo CA. It was awesome. Check out Quinton Tarantino talking about him seeing it on opening night. It's a cool story and it's on YT.
I caught this at the previews without knowing what I was going to watch. The announcer said Keanu Reeves and all the girls were flipping out. Afterwards the whole town was listening to Rage and Marilyn Manson for months.
More than twenty years later and it's still an epic movie.

This content is great.. It’s capturing something about cinema that I love. It’s like watching a kid grow up and experience something for the first time. Sometimes you can relive that joy and awe you felt when watching something for the first time.

Another moment could have been added when Morpheus tells Neo that humanity was celebrating the creation of AI. That's a good moment.

I enjoyed the two sequels more than most it would seem, but there really is no topping this s-tier original 😊

Man, I feel old now. I watched this back when it first came out in theaters back in 99. Just months before the turn of the new millennium. I was so baked to while I watched this. It was really trippy to watch. Lol

Valid criticism and perhaps a fumble indeed...sorry🥺. Nearly made it, but the moment these videos get too long the % viewed rate drops due to....uhhh, shall we say, "attention span related issues" of our time. The % viewed rate drops, the algorithm starts giving your video the stink eye.
Unfortunately, the editing room floor is littered with the carcasses of awesome movie moments that got cut in the "do or die" environment of the editing process. We are planning for a members section in future for those who really love the mashup craft and won't mind the videos that are inevitably going to be somewhat longer. (To include more scenes and more reactions)

The first one worked because it was a great cultural revolution allegory, and it told you clearly that the machines had lost. There was no reason for any sequels. He evolved beyond the Matrix and the agents, war over. Then they changed the rules to have mediocre and bad sequels.
I love the concept of your channel. I have watched all of these watchers before. Many people are coming to the conclusion that the Matrix is the best movie ever made! I'll go even further than that and say it's the best love story ever made!
Think about it. Neo risked al of humanity for his love of Trinity. If that's not the most epic love story of all time, I don't know what is.
The love story is great and all, but my favorite part of the movie is when Smith explodes, random body parts fly by, and then you can actually see his head fly by, screaming... Awesome!

I'm amazed that so many people don't watch certain films. What were you doing when this film was released? The Matrix was released in 1999 and one of the most hyped films you decide to watch 25 years later? I think it's kinda weird
Half of these reacters weren't born yet when the Matrix came out; how are you gonna bag on them for not knowing about stuff that was before their time? As an example, Charles Bronson was a huge action star in the 60s and 70s; how many of his films have you seen?

anime helped birth this masterpiece of a movie
Yeah anime would have way more hammy overacting. Anime and manga was inspired a good deal by American comic books and movie serials as well as European stuff a huge number are very clearly based on that type of stuff from cops shows to fantasy elements. The style of action is mostly original though most anime didn’t really do that then. It was very early on in Japanimation as it was called then. And I’d also say a good deal of anime was inspired by slapstick and the sort of exaggerated motions there in America and elsewhere. Certainly the comedy in it was. Same thing with video games that the Japanese became known for but was invented in America both home consoles and arcades.
Martial arts were clearly an influence but the film style and shot composition and so on was mostly original.
I’d kind of argue many of the anime characters were inspired by western stuff as besides maybe a few they look like white people. I mean goku I can see saying yeah he’s Asian maybe just exaggerated for effect like they do in cartoons so bigger eyes and so on but a ton are blond haired blue eyes. But then people are like no that’s just a style and yet if I made asian looking characters and said they’re white people I really feel like people would mostly not buy that unless you really I don’t know modified stuff somehow but just straight up Asian and say they’re white people would be like well clearly they’re Asian people.
Though I can somewhat see that it js like some anime I think that anime was inspired by other stuff as well and that the movie still departed and designed its own thing and fight and shot style.
