It's very rare for someone to share patronus with someone else and almost impossible for a death eater to use the patronus spell. Snape loved lily so much
When your love for someone burns brighter than fear, it can rewrite the very fabric of your soul, transforming your patronus into a reflection of that unyielding devotion. Snape had a different patronus from the day he was born until the day he fell in love. That changed the very nature of his being and manifested as Lily's doe.
One day, Lily tried to help Snape while he was being bullied by James Potter. In response, he called her a 'Mudblood' and they stopped being friends. Later that night, Luke Harper found her crying and comforted her. Afterwards, she returned to the Common Room where James attempted to apologise.

Coming from a fan who is the same age as Daniel Radcliffe, grew up with the books, read the books prior to movies, here´s my take on Snape memory: This is unequivocally the MAJOR plot twist in the entire series, because Snape turned out to be the hero from the man we all hated up until this moment. Snape played double characters in the sense that on one hand he fooled Voldemort by spying on Dumbledore, when in reality his love for Lily was so strong that he decided to deceive Voldemort on Dumbledore´s orders. He never hated Harry, he hated the spit image of James Potter (the very same man who bullied Snape during school and made his life miserable and then married to the girl he loved). That´s why Snape always acted so mean and cruel towards Harry, but at the same time he saw Lily in him as well, he has his mother´s eyes. So everytime Snape looks into Harry´s eyes, he sees the only human being whom he truly loved. The one person mentioned here whom Lily and James put the wrong faith in it, was Peter Pettigrew (the dude that was a rat named Scabbers and lived with Ron for 16 years up until Voldemort returned in GOF and made him human again. It was Pettigrew who betrayed Harry´s parents and that is why they died. Snape´s character is a masterclass in writing and for me personally, his death made me cry harder than Dumbledore, because Snape embodies the "never judge a book by its cover" phrase. When I saw this movie in cinema, during this scene, EVERYONE in the entire cinema went completely silent. You could legit hear people breath, that´s how silent it was. Nobody said a word. When Harry then goes down the stairs and sits down, THEN people started to cry like crazy, including me. Finally, the reason why VOLDEMORT himself had to kill Harry, is because Voldemort never REALIZED that Harry WAS the 7th hocrux. He did not kill Harry, he killed his own hocrux, that is why Harry could survive. Also pay attention to the Resurrection Stone, because remember what Dumbledore said to harry in the first movie? (only the one who no intend to use the stone will be able to find it). So essentially, the reason why Dumbledore left Harry the Snitch, is because he HID the resurrection stone IN IT, so Harry could open it "at the end".
The story of Snape is crazy. I always cry everytime I imagine the POV of Snape as a man. You know it's so sad when you fall in love with someone but destiny doesn't approve you and you take care of the son of your dead crush. This is the different level of love.
Love your vids and how you get good moments in great movies keep doing your Thang G request would you post more transformers especially the part where in last movie the last fight scenes
Always makes me remember the scene from the first film when they're ignorantly assume Snape is the one cursing Harry's broom, but really it was Quirrell while Snape was chanting a counter-curse. Mah hart
Lily and Snape were in different houses, and Snape jealous of lily’s friendship with James, he called her a mudblood. Wormtail (Ron’s rat) was who betrayed James and lily, he told Voldemort where to find them and he framed Sirius (Harry’s godfather) for the murder.
Severs Snape being the dark knight has always made me happy May Alan Rickman have mercy on her soul, if there is a place called heaven, may she accept it there.
few people realize that death eaters cannot reproduce the Patronum because there is nothing bright about them. and Severus was so attached to Lily that a piece of her remained in his soul and was the light that could transform his Patron into a Doe. Lily's patronum was a Doe
"I need to watch it from the beginning again!" And thats the beauty of Alan Rickman's acting in the series - J.K. Rowling told him about all this back when they were filming the first movie, and Rickman used it for his performance.
In the movies, did they ever explain that Pettigrew was the secret keeper for James and Lily? Trying to figure out why the top right couple was questioning Dumbledore's comment to Snape about putting their trust in the wrong person.
Lily and James Potter put their faith and trust in Peter Pettigrew. However, Peter betrayed them and revealed where the Potters were hidden. Voldemort was aware of the prophecy that Trelawney foretold regarding a boy who was about to be born at the end of July. However, Harry was not the only one; there was a second boy, Neville Longbottom. After Neville's parents were tortured into insanity, Voldemort decided to kill Harry, marking him as his equal. Another detail that is often overlooked is that Snape's Patronus was a female deer-the exact deer that showed Harry where the sword was hidden. When Dumbledore saw Snape's Patronus, he responded, "Lily." Dumbledore was Lily's teacher and knew that her Patronus was a female deer, like Snape's. Snape had the same Patronus as Lily because he loved her.
It's such a pity that in the movies didn't explained why Dumbledore's surprised when he sees Snape's Patronus... In the magic world, when you truly, deeply love someone, your Patronus changes to the one that person has/had...
Personally, I like book Snape more. Book Snape is more grey than in the movies. I love Alan but he mellowed him out a lot. Snape is more nuanced in the books; he is more unhinged and has the capacity for both cruelty and love. He is also very sarcastic 🤭.
Has the girl in the top right even watched Harry Potter? She keeps asking questions that she definitely should already know if she watched the previous movies
@Lorn For, I believe you’ve made a mistake with the attributions. Rob Squad (although definitely worth checking out) is not in this compilation. On the other hand, See Jane Go is in this video, but not listed.
There was an element from the book that I think it was probably sensible to not include. One time, when James was bullying Snape yet again, Lily stood up for him, but either insecurity or frustration drove Snape to reject her help by calling her a mudblood. He instantly regretted it, but damage was done, as it ended their friendship, and pushed her into James' orbit. So, probably for the best to not use that part, since it makes Snape less sympathetic
@@satyakidas7045 I agree, however, with film, such mixed concepts are much harder to pull off, especially in a 5 minutes sequence, which is why I think it made sense to not include the slur in the memory montage. If anything, the memory sequence could be expanded into its own movie, which can include things like Snape's Muggle father who was abusive to his mother and him, hence Snape's initial disdain with Muggles that drove him towards the Death Eaters. It also explains the "mudblood" thing as merely a subconscious trauma from his father, rather than any hatred against Lily. But as stated, the montage doesn't have the time to explore all of the aspects of Snape's character.
@@user-lb9xw4xf2q Yeah right, If I was given the chance to make a movie, man I would be so confused what to include and what not to. Adapting a series of books into a series of movies is already a daunting task,
Sensible to not include? That's literally what makes it "Snakes Worst Memory" which was literally the title of the chapter when we saw Shapes memory. It might make Snape less sympathetic but that was his character, the reason why he is a great character is because he is grey and not all that sympathetic.
when they make the harry potter show i hope snape is more like what we see in the movies since in the books he didnt care much for harry he was alright with james and harry dead as long as lilly lived
Not a book reader then, because all the mentions of a Harry looking exactly like his father should have blocked a silly thought like that from ever popping up.
"don't tell me now you've grown to care for the boy." ahem, headmaster, the two previous sentences "you kept alive so he could die at the proper moment.... you've been raising him like a pig for slaughter!" are JUST answering your question.
Having watched this one, I hope you plan to include the part where Harry explains to his son where his names come from at the end of the film.
The story of Snape is crazy. I always cry everytime I imagine the POV of Snape as a man. You know it's so sad when you fall in love with someone but destiny doesn't approve you and you take care of the son of your dead crush. This is the different level of love.
Been waiting for another compilation for this scene
Love your vids and how you get good moments in great movies keep doing your Thang G
request would you post more transformers especially the part where in last movie the last fight scenes
Always makes me remember the scene from the first film when they're ignorantly assume Snape is the one cursing Harry's broom, but really it was Quirrell while Snape was chanting a counter-curse. Mah hart
The guy on the bottom left had a factory reset at the end hahahaha!
02:48 , lily and James put their faith on that bloody mouse of Ron weasly who deceives them successfully
That girl is a fake fan, who watched the entire series and still don't know who they put their faith in
Excellent video !!! 🙌🏻 ❤️💕
Lily and Snape were in different houses, and Snape jealous of lily’s friendship with James, he called her a mudblood. Wormtail (Ron’s rat) was who betrayed James and lily, he told Voldemort where to find them and he framed Sirius (Harry’s godfather) for the murder.
“Shit the bed”- best reaction to this scene I’ve heard in my life 😂
how to change character in 7 minutes. The most emotional scene, that ever been created
James did not steal Lily from snape. Lily was never in love with snape.
The hardest part on fall in love
Yep, on top of that Snape all but shoved her away.
@@maraudentium2607 Yeah cause he called her Mudblood to James
Keep going ❤❤❤
Severs Snape being the dark knight has always made me happy May Alan Rickman have mercy on her soul, if there is a place called heaven, may she accept it there.
These people deserves an oscar for their reaction acting lol
few people realize that death eaters cannot reproduce the Patronum because there is nothing bright about them. and Severus was so attached to Lily that a piece of her remained in his soul and was the light that could transform his Patron into a Doe. Lily's patronum was a Doe
"always"...............
"I need to watch it from the beginning again!"
And thats the beauty of Alan Rickman's acting in the series - J.K. Rowling told him about all this back when they were filming the first movie, and Rickman used it for his performance.
The thing with snape casting the doe, Harry seen it after Dumbledore's death, yet Snape casted it before Dumbledore's death
Rayos!!!
Cada vez que veo está escena, la parte donde severus realiza su patronus se me quiebra el alma 😢😭
158th time I'm watching it, still eyes full of tears
Always 😭❤❤ this made me cry
I loved snape so much more than Harry or his stupid father
Snape deserves a better ending than this.😢
Snape earned what he got.
First time when Harry met with him: Who's that man?
And after: He was the bravest man.
The best part ever of the Saga movies 🥹
Ah Serverus Snape, the "Itachi" of Harry Potter.
My reaction to Movie snape : 😭🥹
My reaction to Book snape 🤡💀👹
Did they forget the whole point of the third movie😮 When dumbledore Says lily and james put their faith in the wrong person
Anybody noticed, if snape told harry by himself harry wouldn't probably believe him. So snape gave him tears while before death.
Harry wouldn't have believed Snape because Snape spent six years being awful to an innocent kid.
i watched this scene a hundred time same for the movies but i always cry at this 🥺🥺😭😭💔💔
There is still people who aven't watch harry potter in 2024, its kinda insane for someone who grew up with it. like lord of the ring or star wars
It's such a pity that in the movies didn't explained why Dumbledore's surprised when he sees Snape's Patronus... In the magic world, when you truly, deeply love someone, your Patronus changes to the one that person has/had...
SO GOOD
Ah yes, the reactor’s rite of passage
Always 😢😢😢
this is what happens when nobody reads the books before de movie
Actually cool, i watched the Movies before Reading the books
Rly enjoyed that experience
As it should be
Severus Snape is a brilliant character 🖤🖤.
Masterpiece ever. Great
The movies did him justice
Personally, I like book Snape more. Book Snape is more grey than in the movies. I love Alan but he mellowed him out a lot. Snape is more nuanced in the books; he is more unhinged and has the capacity for both cruelty and love. He is also very sarcastic 🤭.
We need more reaction mashup videos of Snape's memory
Has the girl in the top right even watched Harry Potter? She keeps asking questions that she definitely should already know if she watched the previous movies
Snape was an absolute pimp.
Albus let Harry's parents die for making Voldemort weak..
Peter Pettigrew betrayed Lily and James. That’s who Dumbledore referred to when he said they put their faith in the wrong person.
Snap gives gay dumbledore his word for revenge 🙄🤔tricky magic love wow😮🪄
@Lorn For, I believe you’ve made a mistake with the attributions. Rob Squad (although definitely worth checking out) is not in this compilation. On the other hand, See Jane Go is in this video, but not listed.
Gosh the people on the top right are so clueless 😂
There was an element from the book that I think it was probably sensible to not include. One time, when James was bullying Snape yet again, Lily stood up for him, but either insecurity or frustration drove Snape to reject her help by calling her a mudblood. He instantly regretted it, but damage was done, as it ended their friendship, and pushed her into James' orbit.
So, probably for the best to not use that part, since it makes Snape less sympathetic
but that's what makes the book so good right? It can bring out real mixed emotions which movies can't do that well
@@satyakidas7045 I agree, however, with film, such mixed concepts are much harder to pull off, especially in a 5 minutes sequence, which is why I think it made sense to not include the slur in the memory montage.
La parte del patronus duele mucho mas cuando sabes el contexto del porque es asi 😢
Snape is undercover agent by Dumbledore order
2:46 Seriously?!?! “ Who did they put their faith in?”?!?!…Did she just skip the 3rd movie?!?
For people who dont know Lilly was pregnant when she died and snape would be his godfather wich makes it even more sad
It's always hilarious when people don't read books😂
which movie is this scene😊 from
when they make the harry potter show i hope snape is more like what we see in the movies since in the books he didnt care much for harry he was alright with james and harry dead as long as lilly lived
Snape is the best character in Harry Potter
Could you do reaction to snapes death/ fred, lupin and tonks death
When I first saw this it came to my mind that Snape could be Harry's father.
Not a book reader then, because all the mentions of a Harry looking exactly like his father should have blocked a silly thought like that from ever popping up.
@@maraudentium2607 Not a Harry Potter reader. I only read up to the 5th book.
Snape is the Itachi Uchia of Harry pottter ❤
They put their faith in Peter Pettigrew, that was the wrong person that they put their faith in.
Прсле стольктх лет? Всегда...❤
"don't tell me now you've grown to care for the boy." ahem, headmaster, the two previous sentences "you kept alive so he could die at the proper moment.... you've been raising him like a pig for slaughter!" are JUST answering your question. In all honesty, i would've hated james potter, and I actually do. As for lily, congrats on marrying a bully (it's not a way to put it, it's the way it is, and i fucking hate bullies) while the best you could have committed his life to protect your son way after your death.
you do realise he was a bully at school, right? and evidently not during his actual adult years? people can in fact grow and change even if they're fictional
(Not so) fun fact: James died thinking that Lily lived. His last thoughts were of him thinking his wife and son both got out alive…
James likely knew Lily didn't have her wand, he had no reasonable expectation to think Lily and Harry escaped...all he could do was hope.
Clearly spelled out in the books. If just watching the movies there is so much detail left out...
