      Should've just kept goal line technology and left VAR behind. The absolute mess of seeing a players pinky finger slighty in front of another player which causes an offside is an absolute joke. What's the point in having a ref if their decisions will be reversed, makes zero sense.

    You can tell both players enjoyed this by their body language, they relished the challenge of each other. No handbags at the end or arguing with each other. A lot of defenders let Ferguson win headers because he was so strong and aggressive it wasn't worth their time or energy. Stam was a different beast, nobody intimidated him and a superb defender. Good seeing this clip of them both. Strikers didnt wanna face a physical challenge with Stam just as defenders didnt want to with Ferguson

    You can see how Ferguson bounces off Stam as they connect initially and they both only go to ground once Stam's footing weakens his stance as he turns at the end. Ferguson no doubt knew how to fight and he was legit hard, but it's obvious here that Stam is stronger.

    This play if anything proves that Stam was the superior footballer. He shoulder bargesFerguson with precise timing -as opposed to brute strength, which football is not about - at 0:08, which allows him to win the ball and then he shields it flawlessly until Ferguson commits a very clear foul.
    By the way, I've never seen video footage of Ferguson having a go at anyone his size. In his famous fight clips, he comes across as a bully more than a hard man.

    • @kennyomega1876
      @kennyomega1876 4 года назад

      Nah, Stam’s got the momentum as he comes across. Then Ferguson keeps the ball in play and it’s a 50/50 tussle after that, which in the PL rule book, means a free kick to Man Utd.
