Barry Manilow It's A Miracle Reaction 1. Is it me or does this song sound like it's a broadway song or something like that. 2. I feel like the bells in the background are so loud but I know they aren't loud. 3. I feel like it's missing grand triplet pickups into everything. 4. Was this suppose to transition into Copa Cabana or something? Sounded like it to me.
Hi Jaybriel........One thing you need to know that this one was recorded in 1974 when Barry recorded it. He was bankrupt at this time and had very little money to do what he did later when he sang it, but it definitely was not connected in any way to Broadway or the Copacabana. You are just way to young to know this about Barry. I am 76 years old and love to hear you do a Barry Manilow tune and see what you think. I have followed him since 1974 and many of his fans now were not even near to be being born yet, so unless you really read a lot about him, they would not even know, but I will listen any time you do one of his. I missed the Eddie Holman song you listened to a couple of weeks ago. That song was big back in 1965 when I was a freshman in college. Thanks...Love you....................Betsy Basile
Great reaction! When you react to another Manilow song try to react to his live performance of the song! His live performance is much better than his studio version ! Advise from a Fanilow (who has seen him 50 times in concert)!! This song was written & came out before Copacabana.
a total crowd pleaser when he does this live. i have seen barry 5 times. there are ALOT of great songs on the album barry manilow II album includes includes mandy.
He used to play for Bette Midler. I think he never thought of himself as a singer. He broke away and he wrote and composed anyway. When I was younger we loved him. The plus was he was filling the airways with hit after hit. He is more valued now. Any facts I perhaps got wrong, I apologize ahead of time. That includes misspellings. 🙂
Nice analysis. It’s not a bad song but it’s just not one of my favorites from Barry. To me it has the feel of disco and I’m not a fan of disco. You are right when you say that has the sound of a musical number. And you are right about the grand triplet pickups. To me nothing really stood out in the instrumental part. I did hear the bells but maybe your equipment or ears are more sensitive to it than mine. I feel Barry is more suited for ballads, more romantic type of songs. On a scale of 1-10 I give this song a 5. On you analysis, I give you a 10.

This is a great song live when you see him in concert. His concerts are like a Broadway show. Love Barry Manilow music.
Crazy better live!
I love this song! Haven’t heard it in decades. Thanks!
It's always super fun to go back and hear old songs you haven't heard in a long time. Every once in a while I listen to Mariah Carey.
I love this song... I was 7 when the hits LP came out in 1978.... It is one of those songs that make you feel good and get you up and dancing....

Yes, this song is so much better live! I've only seen Barry Manilow in concert two times (first time first row) but wow, he is so good live!
Barry set out to write musicals originally, but his career followed this path. He DID do a stage musical of COPACABANA in the mid 1990's in London
hmm didn't know that.
@@jaybrielakoi7747 Yep, and I saw a VERY scaled down production of the show when it came to RI in 1999. It was laughably horrible.
I like it when he sings ballads like Mandy

Yeah it's probably better live. It's kind of just okay listening to studio version. Like your honesty.
He did the original theme song for McDonald's .
