Jay if you want to hear his singing range you need to hear "Sherry" or "Walk Like A Man" they are bangers with The Four Seasons.
Completely Agree!
Definitely!!
YESSIREE
Also they had a hit with "Ragdoll".
I love him with the Four Seasons
If you really want to see what his falsetto can do you need to check out Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons singing Sherry.
Yes! You are 💯
that and _Big Girls Don't Cry_
One of the most beautiful written songs EVER!! And his voice absolutely makes me MELT!!
this might be the best song ever
My Eyes adored You by F.V. One of the sweetest most beautiful songs about first love, just makes you cry for your childhood hopes, dreams and lost love .It is simply beautiful. Please listen guys , you will not regret it .. 🙏🏻 ❤️
Jay & Amber, you'll love his "Who Loves You", "Sherry" and "My Eyes Adored You"!!! Fun Fact: Frankie Valli was given the choice of being in the movie “Grease” or singing the title song. He chose the song, which was written by Barry Gibb! Good choice. There's a Broadway play called Jersey Boys about Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, so they were legendary!
Saw Jersey Boys twice in Toronto.
Not the greatest movie though, didn’t translate that well.
There’s also one called The Wanderer about Dion and The Belmonts
But he is in greese as himself, i believe he was offered both . It was a dream sequence with the redhead girl Frenchy .
@@shanenolan8252 yes, i recall the cameo now. thanks.
This was my girlfriend and my song we were together for 3 years, she died of leukemia in our sophomore year of high school. Soon after I joined the marines and served in Vietnam 70/71. I still have pictures of her RIP Roxanne.
Thank you for your service I salute you
You are a hero. Now a Reverend ? You have given so much of yourself . I hope that another girl was fortunate enough to have your love, and you theirs
@@sallybannister6224 yes we’ve been married 35, years.
It's a hard thing that not a one of us. Not a creature on the earth can live without suffering. I'm sorry friend.
Christian Civilization became the greatest in recorded history precisely because it is an innately sane way to live. Fierce pagan nations ultimately recognized the Divine truth inherent in it.
Christianity not only makes sense of suffering, it ennobles and transforms it.
Suffering is the human condition. The ultra wealthy, the dirt poor and everyone in between suffers in this vale of tears.
No creature gets off this rock without suffering.
Remember that the whole of man’s history has been the story of dour combat with the powers of evil, stretching, so our Lord tells us, from the very dawn of history until the last day. Finding himself in the midst of the battlefield, man has to struggle to do what is right, and it is at great cost to himself, and aided by God’s grace, that he succeeds in achieving his own inner integrity
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You kids don't have to "take it" from us. It's yours as much as it's ours, and we're glad to share it with y'all.
Y'all gotta do F.Valli's Sherry, Big Girls Don't Cry, and Rag doll. I think you'll find Jordan, he gives your boy Barry a run for his money in the falsetto department.😆lol Also, where you've heard that little snippet from is probably Lauren Hill, she did a cover of that song too on her album (Miseducation).
That’s what I said !!
Oh yeah...his falsetto is unbelievably magnificent!
Rag Doll please! 🥰
In the late 1950s, Elvis Presley was drafted into the Army; Chuck Berry put in jail; Buddy Holly/Big Bopper/Richie Valenz killed in a plane crash; Eddie Cochrane killed in an accident; Jerry Lee Lewis was publicly ostracized (married his young cousin); and Little Richard "retired." By the beginning of 1959, the creative, socially progressive monster of rock & roll was all but killed in the USA. Rock & roll was replaced by a "clean cut" group of young crooners influenced by the Rat Pack. 1959 to around 1963 were America's era of whitewashed popular culture (a musical dark age). Acts like Jan & Dean and the Beach Boys started to fill the void of rock & roll, but they were clean cut, white, and played totally nonthreatening music. Without the Beatniks rediscovering (and supporting) classic blues, jazz, and folk singers... without the British Invasion... without counterculture rejecting the generic crooners... America's musical extension of the country's racial division would never have improved and broken through.
My name is Gerri. I always substitute it for Sherry when I sing along. 😉
I'll bet anything that this song was exactly what was going on inside Jay the first side he saw Amber! You two make such a great couple!! :)
❤
Amber is so beautiful!
Yes I agree 👍💯
@@Wordsmyth8 yes she is
I was thinking this also. ❤️❤️
You definitely need to listen to “Sherry” by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons if you want to hear his high pitched voice.
"Candy Girl" was real high in pitch too.
Please, Please"My Eyes Adored You" next.by Frankie Valli.
Everyone loves Frankie, young and old alike.
From the 60s forward.
He's in his 80's now and still sounds great.
When My Eyes Adored you came out I was in 8th grade it was my favorite song, I played it all the time
I love "My Eyes Adored You!" It's an excellent suggestion for J and A's next Four Seasons experience.
I love this song!!!!
Next should be “my eyes adored you” ❤️
This is one of those song's that you can just sit back and chillax to on a rainy cloudy day
If you liked Frankie Valli, both of you have GOT to see the movie 'Jersey Boys'... it's the story of Frankie and the Four Seasons and its incredible to believe but it is a true story and you get to learn the back stories of where and how all their hit songs came from.
When I saw Jersey Boys while the credits were rolling almost the entire audience was walking out singing, Sherry….Sherry Baby…
Oh wow, I didn’t know that, I’ve never seen the movie
Forget the movie. They need to see the live "Jersey Boys" stage musical. That movie pales badly in comparison.
Let me make one small correction, Jersey Boys is the story of the Four Seasons in which Frankie Valli was one of its member. They were Bob Gaudio, Tommy Devito, Nick Massi, and Frankie Valli. Whereas Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons came in after the four members broke up.
@@breckrichardson390 Dude, I’ve seen both the musical and the movie. For pure entertainment the musical can’t be beat, but for informational presentation the movie did a better job of getting the story out there. Then, there’s the cost and ease of access. It’ll cost them upwards of $200 for just the 2 of them and closer to $500 if the take the kids including dinner and parking. The movie will cost them $3.95 or $5.95 for the HD version. For the money they’re saving they can cater the dinner and still save $300 on the evening AND the kids can watch and enjoy the story as well. Think it through.
Love this song. If you really want a groovy tune, please do Frankie & The Four Seasons' "December 1963 (Oh What a Night)". It's a CLASSIC.
I agree! I love that song!
I think that was the one they did first.
@@cricket1984 yup

That one is my favorite
Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons was another group I grew up with in the 60's. They had so many great hits together such as "Sherry", "Walk Like a Man", "Candy Girl", "Let's Hang On!", "Working My Way Back to You", "I've Got You Under My Skin" etc. When Frankie went out on his own in the 70's, the songs "My Eyes Adored You" & "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" were big hits for him. Also he had a hit with the song "Grease" from the movie. Always loved that he was able to sing in a falsetto voice.
Walk like a man is my favorite
"Let's Hang On" is another classic.
Read your bible! (KJV, preferably) ❤️😊
Frankie Valli - Theme from Grease should absolutely be coming soon. The Bee Gees wrote it specifically with him in mind, and they told the producers if Frankie didn't get to sing it, they would withdraw the song.
Love that song!
My favourite singer of all time. He has a "Greatest Hits" album out. Each and every song is a banger.
The last happy moment in The Deer hunter.
This says it all.
My favorite "cover" of this song is in the movie, "10 Things I Hate About You".
RIP Heath Ledger
YES YES YES and still more YES. Hysterical, but so so sweet.
And the worst is possibly in The Mask 2: Son of the Mask
"Who loves you" is my favorite Frankie Valli song. I was lucky enough to see "Jersey Boys" 4 times live here in Las Vegas a a couple different venues and it never disappoints.
That's my favorite, too, and this video of them doing it. ruclips.net/video/-KtYgOM62fk/видео.html
I saw it on Broadway and man was that cast great, but I heard the Vegas cast was just as good! I really loved their story though too. Just a really great musical all around!
You beat me! I've only seen "Jersey Boys" three times.
Great song and EXCELLENT show!
I recently saw "Jersey Boys" on a cruise ship and I was blown away by how good it was.
Big Girls Don't Cry. My first memory of a string on number one songs in the 60s.
Buckets of Maple Syrup love from Canada 🇨🇦 🇨🇦 ❤❤
I've always thought this (along with My Eyes Adored You) were both by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. I had no idea until now when I just looked it up that they were from his solo career. My mind is a bit blown right now.
Technically it still is the Four Seasons since it wasn't until the 1980s that Frankie Valli truly went "solo".
@@MarkCucchiara Based on what I found,, his first solo album, Solo, that this was on was in 1967.
It was written by the band mate after Frankie Valli lost his daughter to a drug overdose
One of his best and most memorable songs. You know it's him when you hear it. 60's music at it's best.
If you've ever seen the show "Full House," he sang part of this song live in an 8th season episode. Two guys were fighting for DJ, and the rich guy hired Frankie to sing this at the park. He had the park wired. :)
He’s the original king of the falsetto
Go back to his early stuff
Walk like a man
Sherry Baby
Still hope you guys will get to the early Bee gees
Fanny be tender
I started a joke
Lonely days

This is one if my absolute fave Frankie Valli songs, many have covered it over the years. I think a 60s tune. It may not show his range, but it shows off what a wonderful crooner he was. Pop, rock, crooner, he could do it all. Boy, those Jersey boys can sing!!!!
Frankie Valli has the best falsetto voice I ever heard, but you keep reacting to songs that he's really not using it. Please react to "Sherry" by the Four Seasons.
I was just hittin' adolescence and had no experience with music when I heard Sherry on the radio and I was hooked! I stopped in the middle of a Minnesota field and listened in wonder, my tender ears were pierced by that wail and never recovered.
It's not falsetto. It's his real voice.
He's not singing falsetto in this song.
This one is going to melt Amber.... :D I woukd just classify this as mainstream. But that brass kick up is typical of that style in that era.
Frankie Valli also sang the title song of the movie Grease. It was written by Barry Gibb.
Frankie valli has a high and low voice and in between and he can work with his voice to adapt to the music and the group was phenomenal he eventually went solo later in his career but occasionally gets together with his friends to sing at special events
Oh I just love Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. I can’t tell you how many great hits they have but I’m sure you have heard some. So romantic.❤️
My wife and I got married 6 years ago. This was our first dance song. It’s a magical song, with a magical voice.
3:21 I can't believe they're stopping this when they're stopping it. Killing this reaction. 😢
I agree. They stop it at the wrong times. I do not think they have realized when crescendos are coming.
I understand that they are “hearing this for the first time” but if you listen with half an ear you can hear the musicians gearing up for the big chorus. At least let it play out for a verse/chorus round before stopping.
I saw him in concert in 2018 he was 83! And he was incredible. People jumping out of their seats and singing. It was a wonderful night. ❤
I love it says I love you baby was on the movie "10 things I hate about you " Heath Ledger sang it on the bleachers
to Kat. There is his music with the Four Seasons December back in 63( Oh what a night) Grease just a few. Smooth sound .
My Eyes Adored You, is my fav from Frankie Valli. If you haven't already, have a listen. Beautiful song.
You two are so adorable and so appreciative of our music! I just love to hear your take on songs I grew up on. To tell you the truth, you are helping me see our music in a different light and realize how very lucky I was to grow up in the time I did! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Jay , Amber glad you came back to Frankie next song should be ' Who loves you ' y'all love the instrumental on it and good song
You guys make me smile 💗
What a beautiful song that was so well done. Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons had hits in the 60's and mid 70's. The group started out their career with 3 straight number one singles, from 1962 to 1963. My favorite songs by them were RAG DOLL, WHO LOVES YOU and LET'S HANG ON. Love you guys going back to the 60's and early and mid 70's.
This was on the radio a lot throughout that magical summer of 1967. It was my first year in graduate school in S. California. Great memories!
Also Beggin & Who Loves you. These are a Fantastic Group & singer with numerous chat hits here in England & in the U.S.A & Worldwide. Love the range & lyrics. Grease is another great song. Ty for the post & reactions. I’m catching up with all your back catalogue lol
2:15 I can't believe she stopped it when she stopped it! OMG she killed the momentum!
Yeah, I’m not a fan of the stop and comment. Just play straight through like Andy & Alex
They could back it up a touch maybe
Another amazing song and reaction....love u guys and keep up the great song choices.....❤
Most of the time the high voice is the drummer. Watch late december 63 or who loves you baby. Also, this song was featured in the movie " 10 things I hate about you". That scene is hysterical!!
This was my dad and mom’s song. They have both passed away, but I still tear up & smile simultaneously whenever I hear it. 🥰
I’m so glad that you’re getting into Frankie Valli! He’s always been my favorite singer. My favorite song of his is “The Proud One”.
Yes, watch "Jersey Boys" based on The 4 Season and Frankie's start to being music idols
Soon, I fully expect you will both be singing along to this at the top of your lungs
I was born April 1954, same as Rock And Roll. My music collection is over the top ridiculously massive. I grew up with the music you react to. Have a Splendid Successful Day
First of all Thank You for making my day, love your videos.
My 12th Birthday had my first slow dance and kiss, to this song...I still remember his name, he was really cute, a drummer.
Thanks for the memories
The Deer Hunter: when they’re in the bar playing pool…this song hooked me there.
My Man! Frankie Valli!! Been a fan since 1962! This song was written by the 4 Seasons composing team but was a big departure from Seasons songs, with the jazzy horn parts. A huge hit! And Hand claps!! Great reaction, Guys! You got the Point!! So happy you love it.
Thank you for posting this!
I realize I'm late with the comment, but you mentioned the crooners. There's a video online featuring Valli and the Four Seasons singing I've Got You Under My Skin on the Ed Sullivan show in 1966. Sinatra originally made the song a standard with his rendition. The Seasons recorded it with a different arrangement. You may find the two contrasting styles to the song interesting.
Grew up listening to this group, so many great hits!
" Who Loves You " is the best especially the video version of them in the recording studio ❤️❤️❤️
I knew Amber was going to love it when the horns came in!
Frankie is without doubt one of the greatest singers of all time 🎉
Love watching you swaying to this romantic music -its as fabulous now as it was 50 yrs ago. Keep playing this music - great for relationships ❤❤
Such a classic! And if you know the words it’s almost impossible to not sing the chorus!
(Jordy)
I saw Frankie Valli live two years ago when he was 85 yrs old.
He still had it and was amazing!!
I think I have said this to you before when listened to the 4 Seasons in that Frankie was the lead singer. There is a Tony winning musical on Broadway still, Jersey Boys, about the 4 Seasons, and a movie by the same name (actually directed by Clint Eastwood) This song was Frankie’s first beak-out hit when the original 4 Seasons broke up. Bob Gaudio (keyboard player for the original group) wrote this song especially for Frankie.
I sing this to my Grand Daughter, I have since she was a baby, and she still closes her eyes, and holds my hand when I do. We were young parents, and my oldest was a young Mom, so I was only 38 when I became a Grandpa. She is almost nine now, and I still sing this to her to get her to sleep. Great job you guys, you always bring me such joy! Thanks!!!
His older stuff would absolutely blow you both away
One of the first albums I ever bought. I got 6 “free” albums from Columbia Record House not knowing that I had to buy 6 more over the following year. (Always read the fine print). I was only ten at the time, so my dad was able to get me out of the contract hahaha. That song brings back a lot of memories. It’s a modern day classic for sure. And yes, Frankie Valli was definitely a crooner.
Thanks for the great video
I remember that scam!
Many many hits by this group and worthy of them.
Love his song “My Eyes Adore You”. He also had the theme song from “Grease” also called “Grease”. Love Frankie Valli saw him in concert during Italian Fest in Chicago many years ago 🔥Living Legend❤️
You need to watch the movie "Jersey Boys" I have seen it 13 times!
I love this song!!! Always have. This song was great in the movie 10 things I hate about you. Heath Ledger!!
This song was a song I listen to back when he came out alot great song
My boyfriend back in the day had a great singing voice. When he sang this I would melt 💜
The Four Seasons were one or the few groups that could hold their own on the charts against the Beatles in the 1960’s.
Indeed - right before the Beatles, they were the world's top-charting music act at one point.
Have your guys reacted to The Guess Who? Need to add "No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature" to your list! "American Woman" is another one of their big hits. Circa 1970.
I do think its possible all can sing along to FV and the FS. Great pop. Incredible story about them to dig into.
About five or six years ago I saw Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons perform in Tokyo. I thought that Frankie would be there but since he was around 80 years old, I wasn't expecting too much. Four young guys as the Four Seasons doing the heavy lifting and Frankie singing a little here and there. I was floored when he took the stage with the four young guys but then slammed every one of the Four Season's hits and hit every falsetto note, even Sherry. He was up on stage for a good three hours and sounding absolutely no different than he did in the 60s and 70s. Amazing.
I love the Four Seasons. Franki Valli is a Legend. My faves are Opus 17 and C'mon Marianne.
I RRRRRRREALLY wish you guys would listen STRAIGHT THROUGH entire songs, and THEN react!!
YESSSSS!!!!
I grew up with this, and still love it. I'm so glad you enjoy it. I watched your reactions before this, and ever since. Y'all are welcome in our generation, any time!
Hang On is one my favorites of theirs. Franki's voice in his falsetto range is great!
I could listen to these two share their joy for the rest of my life!!
I can’t wait for them to cut into the song and share their feelings
Please you guys never stop!!
Of course, Frankie had a long string of big hits with The Four Seasons. You two listened to "Oh What a Night" which was the Four Seasons WITHOUT him. He also had another solo hit, "My Eyes Adored You" that you would like, and there were others.
Frankie Valli sings on "December 1963" just not the lead.
Frankie sings on "De
One of the icon bands of that Era of music, I've been a Ballroom Dance Instructor for 26 years and this is still a really popular song that couples do their first dance too still today.
Amber: i love the soft mellow tune of Franlies Voice so far.... ... ME: Wait For it!!!
Ahh...Frankie V & the 4 seasons. Takes me back to my childhood, playing in the school yard and listening to that transistor radio! No cares, no worries just the beautiful sun! ☀️💛❤💛
Love this but “My Eyes Adored You” is my favorite of his.
He’s amazing and I enjoy him in his acting roles. Tons of people covered this song, I’m sure you have heard it more than just on Tiktok. He started going deaf in the 60s until surgery in 1980 returned most of his hearing. Can you imagine singing when you can’t even hear?
The reason why all of this music you and the rest of this generation are loving this classic stuff is because it is written arranged performed produced organically with only the best talent pulled together. Real drums not drum machines. Real horns strings piano etc... Not samples canned music auto tune. Back then you to be the best to warrant major labels to invest that much attention and money.. there's great stuff coming out now.but then again anyone with a computer can put out music. And anyone who just looks good or can dance good can be auto tuned and packaged and sold as the next big thing. I love you guys. Keep digging the real stuff no matter who makes it
When he burst out, Amber's smile was worth the price of admission.
You HAVE to listen to Frankie singing "My Eyes Adored You".
My Eyes Adored You is my all-time favorite from Frankie Valli.
If you ever get a chance to, see the Broadway production of Jersey Boys which is the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Awesome soundtrack and show to experience.
If you ask me, this song is a timeless love song! Plus, it gives such an uplifted surge of feel-goodness! ✌❤😊 Who Loves You -would be a terrific second song!🎶🎧 when Frankie was with the group The Four Seasons
This song always reminds me of Conspiracy Theory (1997).
I’ve been waiting for this!
Our music is too good to keep it too ourselves we want to share it with everyone.
Frankie is one of the iconic voices of his time and had a long career.
This takes me back to Junior high school. It’s just so smooth. Hey guys, how about a new version of Linda Ronstadt as you requested. This is “Big Band Linda” singing “What’s New”
ruclips.net/video/GInIoX-jwjQ/видео.html. You will not be disappointed in this stunning live performance with the Nelson Riddle Orchestra. Love you guys 🌺✌️
From the same album, I really loved her rendition of "Skylark".
These guys (Frankie and the 4 Seasons) were so popular in the 60s. Thanks for the ‘way-back’ memory!
one of my all time favs...pinnacle of musical taste.
