I been making seasoning out of my hot peppers and bell peppers. I dry them in the oven. When they are dried up, I put them in the blender and blend them in powder and there you have fresh seasoning.

Hi Robbie & Gary. It's late fall/early winter here now in Mass. I did manage to bring in 2 plants. Forget-Me-Not and my sweet pepper plant with 7 peppers.. I put them in the sun when the sunshine's into my house in the afternoon. The forget me not plant is still growing & blooming for 2 weeks. The sweet peppers are growing bigger. I picked 1 pepper and saved some of the seeds for next year. Maybe I'll have better luck with these seeds. (Took me 3 seed plantings to finally get plants). I gave both plants (plant tea) and keep them watered. Too bad I cannot post photos here. The walking Mantis looked like it was smiling.

My cardboard box experiment was hit and miss. The only thing that came out of the box garden I had on my deck was 1 Itty bitty cucumber. But that box garden redeemed itself when I scooped out the soil to build a tote and there were worms in it. :) The cardboard box I had in a kiddie pool in the yard planted with collard greens grew fantastically though! I won't bother with any more on the deck, but will probably keep the kiddie pool on the ground going. Thanks so much for all the tips!

Like, we'd like to know about how to get ready for the coming season instead. I mean like preparing planting medium, the soil, the totes, the seedlings, the fertilizers etc... Please.

It's been dropping down into the 20's here in TX at night for about a week now. I've got my little brassicas and cabbage covered and they seem to be okay. I think everything else is frozen. As usual, your many gardens still look good enough to eat. Always love your tours.
