Robbie, found another good use for tulle in the garden. Or maybe i saw it here. Idk, but i was rinsing my bird baths, they were covered in algae. I didn't bring any dawn outside with me to wash them out . I had a leftover piece of tulle in my pocket that i had taken off a tote of seedlings. It worked perfectly as a scrubber, with no cleaning products to potentially harm the wildlife!! I just balled it up and scrubbed. Hardly any effort.
Those little emus just crack me up! I feed a community cat colony and we go out side every evening to watch their antics. A lot are young enough to play run and wrestle. They are eating me out of house and home but somehow we get rewarded.
Hope they get spayed or neutered don’t want to increase your colony to be overgrown. I agree kittens are fun to watch.
Tote gardens are also good when you have a cold night, it’s easy to slide them into the garage. I had tomatoes through the winter because of your idea. I did the tote on a chair and it was so easy to weed.
Robbie, you gave me a great idea! I took a few of the small wire trash baskets (from the dollar store) and wrapped them with tulle. They can be placed over small plants to protect them from critters. You're brilliant, thank you! I love it! Greetings from central Florida!
I did that with some of my more tender plants because rodents and birds were eating them down to the nubs - it worked great!!
I love this garden tour because we got to see your gardens, Zoe, a mama and her baby chick's, and the emus. Thank you!
I noticed my pepper plants were wilting during the heat of the day. They are in pots inside of a tote with soil. They seemed to not be retaining enough water in addition to too much afternoon sun. So, I put the clay non fragrance (cheap) Walmart kitty litter on the tops and moved them around into other totes where they would have dappled shade under other plants. Thanks to having learned from you, they are doing much better. You have taught me so much, thank you.
Thanks Robbie, I always enjoy your garden tours. Everything is looking lush and ready for summer weather. It’s a hoot watching those adorable emus tearing around your garden. 🌵🐾Zoe🐾🐣🐝🌻🪴🌸
Absolutely love your garden tours!!! Gives me such inspiration!!!!❤
The Emu’s are a riot and so cute!❤
Janet Aulisi-I love your chair garden! I went out and got some tulle, kitty litter AND your super duper ingredient that's hard to get sometimes! I have a jade plant, a hibiscus and a frangipani I'm going to try it on. The kitty litter is a also for some pathos hanging plants. I cant wait for the results. Fingers crossed!🎉❤🐾🐾
Dear Robbie, Thank you so much For sharing your life with us. I for 1 think of you as a neighbor Who is sharing with me . I am a captive in my house Because of some health Issues. I do have a question How do I find your recipes I saw 1 for a cranberry coffee cake and started to watch it and then for some reason it went away and I never could find it again. Is there an easy way to locate them. Thank you. Take care
The bird garden is lovely, well the whole garden is lovely. The baby chicks are so cute and who doesn't love watching Emus running. Zoe is adorable. Thank you for taking the time to take us along on your tour.
I loved seeing the 9 baby chicks, wow you guys have your hands full! The birds looking at themselves in the mirror was adorable! ❤ great video
Tote gardening is great! It's because of you sharing this method I have successful gardening! I tell everyone!
Ohnmy gosh! Those Emus are adorable and so are the baby chicks. Thanks for bringing us along!
They are so cute, I must agree 😊 Thank you ❤️💕
Love the Emu's! They appear to be very happy!
Zoe is the most adorable little pup, and the emus are so stinking cute!! I always enjoy watching and learning about new things to incorporate in my garden. I was disappointed there were only a few hundred likes 👍🏼for this video. Perhaps a small reminder for people at the beginning, middle and end of your videos and live streams for people to like the video and hit the thumbs up button will be helpful. Thank you for the tour of your incredible garden ❤️
You are a awesome gardener! You've given me some great ideas for next year. I'm from western NY. Short growing season, I start a lot of seeds in doors. Thanks 😊
The Dinosaurs are so adorable!!😂 I was watching a video from a couple months ago and Gary's garden is gorgeous! I love both of yall's gardens. I just order some Shark Fin Melon seeds!!🦈💦 I'm so excited!! Love this video too!💙
I have to thank you so much for your great ideas. I have a large patio to garden on. Well I used to get up every morning and with my cup of tea would go around and pick off the slugs from my plants and pots. I live in a tropical zone and you have no idea how many slugs. Well I bought lots of tulle and tightly wrapped the pots in tulle and made a nice fluffy collar of tight fitting tulle around the top. It took less than a year and now no more slugs. Thank you so much
Thanks for sharing that. I had not thought of wrapping the pots.
@@Lynette-qh3tw I take a double layer of tulle set the pots in the middle gathering the tulle around the pot and tie it off at the top. Then I fluff and tuck it around the top From my experience the tulle needs to cover the bottom holes in the pot bottom but the sides
I love your garden tours. Successes and failures are all part of gardening.
Janet Aulisu-Oh my gosh! Those Emus! Adorable! I love them. Love to see them run!
Everyday, in my garden, I think of you., Robbie. You have been such an inspiration and you’ve given me so many great ideas. Thank you!!!
Thank you for encouraging everyone to grow food. My totes are doing great this year. I have had such a great harvest of potatoes from 5 gallon buckets. My hen Sally May hatched a baby chick I call Ella May. First non incubated chicken of my lifetime!
Thank you Robbie, I’m following your advice with chairs pots arches & tule!! My garden doing great!! Thank you 🤗🦋 from Kentucky 🦌
Dear Robbie & Gary just remember that every time you eat a dragon fruit I have to pay in Kentucky $7 per fruit & usually the end of the leaves are dried 😕 since I love them I found some better ones frozen!! Please enjoy some for me!! 🤗🦋🥰
Hi Robbie, we are going to have triple digits by this Thursday, in Vancouver Washington 😮
I have milkweed also this year. It is just starting to flower.
Looks like you are keeping the Emus. 😂😂❤😊
I can't believe it's July 1 , Your garden looks beautiful.
Wow, I never knew you had so much property, with precious animals, I LOVE this tour ❤❤❤❤❤
I have learned SO SO MUCH from you & growing plants in a tub when we don't have the space
Woo hoo
Hi Debbie
You have a heaven for nature!
Thanks❤️
Very happy to catch this live. Hello all
Thanks
Hi Robbie and Gary!
Did you add kitchen scraps to the wire compost container? Thanks
I learned so much from you.thanks for all you do..
I’m still not getting female flowers on my zucchini.

Hi Mark 😊
Do you have a piece of Lattice that you could put up along the front of your canopy?
❤❤❤
My nectarine tree finally gave me fruit this year. I checked them one day and decided I would pick them the next day. The next day, every single one was gone. We have squirrels, raccoons, and birds and I’m sure one or a combination of those ate or took them all. I didn’t even get one 😕
I get my tulle from The Tulle Shop.
Did you ever get your sweet potatoes to grow
Oh my goodness, I never seen baby emu
❤
Robbie, pretty sure I mentioned in the past I had a difficult time growing lettuce lol. Well, threw a bunch of seeds in a couple dishpans and they actually started growing, however, they now look so pitiful. 😢 I sure would like to know what I am doing wrong. Too much sun, not enough sun, too much water, not enough ugh! Juli from Michigan
I planted milkweeds from seeds last spring (direct sowing). None sprouted😢 I will try again comes fall using - our second growing season, using the paper method.
I planted milkweed seeds in the fall and the came up.
Thank you for the tour! It’s really helpful to see how you plant things in different areas of your gardens, and how the plants respond to their microclimates.
Happy almost 4th!!
Hi Robbie. Is it true that you can grow celery from the base of a grocery store bought plant? How?😊❤
Cut off the ribs, put the 3-4” of the root area in water & plant in dirt after roots start growing 😊
I’m getting leaves and flowers on zucchini and cucumbers but no fruit. So hot.
Janet Aulisi, Fl -Robbie, what type of paint do you use to paint your floral plastic pots so they won't flake or peel?
Do you ever put painted pots "inside" your totes? Thx!!!
Does the tulle give enough shade? My tomato little slips aren’t making it. It’s over 100 and heat index 107.
Put in dappled shade😊
I have been using tulle for at least 5 years, but I buy it at the fabric department at Walmart. They have many different colors, but I usually just buy green. However, the colors are all the same price and inexpensive.
? I may have missed your answer...Do you think the METALLIC TULLE will help reflect intense sun?
When they get to be 6' tall, you will not have a garden anymore 😂
If herbs go to seed, do they get bitter and you have to replant next season?
we hav a lot of venomous snakes here in botswana - i've forbidden the snakes at our place from being killed - they hav a rite to life as well! wen u understand snakes, then u need hav no fear of them - they more afraid of humans and dont wish for conflicts. mine always know wen they're not wanted and move away
If I trim the tops of my walking onions, will they grow next year and have babies I ordered walking onions from eBay only got one seed from the 6 plants so I’m wondering if I top the walking onions next year will they grow and give me babies
I hope you mean one baby walking onion, because they do not throw seeds. The bulb will get bigger underneath so it will throw more next time. I use the outer leaves and leave the inner leaves unless I see it swollen then I leave that leaf so the babies will develop.
i was happy wen u referred to ur gopher snake as "him" instead of "it"! i cant stand animals being referred to as "it"!! gopher snakes r non-venomous
❤
