Yeah that happens when the eggs are from free range chickens. Also, if you use see through lid the eggs turn into rice but you can easily avoid that

I did mine from room temp as instructed and came out perfect remember to leave your cooked eggs in cold water for a min or 2 to stop the egg from carrying on cooking

If anyone is wondering whether the egg was out of the fridge, or room temp. I had mine out of the fridge, and the egg turned out perfect. Other ways to cook eggs are to use a room temp egg. If you find your egg hardboiled, this could be the reason.

amazing recipe! successful at the very first time! I do not want to waste water so I use a bowl to catch the cool water, and then soak the egg in the cool water, change the water once. It came of soft boiled with running egg yolk
