Goodness... I don't know why. When somebody talks about mouth muscles, there is ALWAYS a mention of biceps. Both Justin and Brendan flex their biceps, it must be a standard demonstration hahahahahahahaha.
💪🏻😊 - NYSC
New York Vocal Coaching Hahahahaha
Siento tanta gratitud hacia ustedes
I would love for you to do an episode on how to speak like Tommy Wiseau from The Room!
Fabulous suggestion Pretzels! - NYSC
New York Vocal Coaching can you do a pop smoke voice tutorial?
Very amazing, tnx💖
Thank you, this looks great! It seems to me there should be an extra component: the aryepiglottic sphincter ("twanger"). no? For characters with a robotic voice like Ned from South Park (also Cartman has some twang I think). Correct me if I'm wrong and those voices can be explained using the 6 components.
Excellent observation! We mentioned twang in a few of our videos! Be sure to check out Episode 9, for example! Not every voice includes narrowing of the aryepiglottic sphincter, so we have not included as one of our main six components. For voices that requires elements besides our core six components, we are sure to mention them! - NYSC
You should have more subs. This channel is my favourite voice related channel.
We're thankful for anyone we can bless through the channel Ilmari! Thanks for your support! - NYSC
.
I have been wayching all of your videos over and over. Even made flash cards for all the terms in this video. This is the skill I have decided to learn in quarantine along with animation.😊

Hi Vivu! We're so glad it was helpful! We're not sure if Brendan will have one before your audition, but stay informed with our Community Tab on upcoming chats with Brendan! -NYSC
@@NewYorkVocalCoaching alright, will do! Thanks ^^
WE WANT MORE! WE WANT MORE!! WE WANT MORE!!!!
Have no fear Ar! There's more to come! -NYSC
Can you do an episode about healthy growls💕
Mr. Stoney and Brendan will definitely explore these things in future episodes George! - NYSC
justin and brendan have an amazing super power. they could be on broadway, and still perform metal in a week or an opera. so so cool! would muscle memory help having this skill or inept it?
They appreciate your kind words, Maria! :D -NYSC
The intro is Amazing 😯😯
We appreciate it @Eshita Student! Make sure to subscribe so you don't miss any amazing new videos! -NYSC
yessssssssssss finaly
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 - NYSC
How much of a felt sense do you have of these different parts? For instance, I don’t know if my soft palette is moving in and of itself but I know the difference in my sound coming out the mouth or nose
Yeah that's great! This isn't Brendan (visit his live chat to talk to him! More info in our Community Tab) but going by sound is good. You might also notice a difference in vibration when using more Nasality/Nasal Resonance. Check out Episode 101 of Voice Lessons To The World for Nasal exercises if you want more experience with it! -NYSC
Doesn't placement also change the tonal quality?
It certainly can George! - NYSC
Is it possible to break down mark hamill’s voice as the joker 🤔🤔
Great suggest Manuel! We will definitely consider lots of requests for the Voice Breakdown series! - NYSC
New York Vocal Coaching great awesome
Can you a breakdown of the roger Craig smith sonic voice or any other one
We'll pass this along! Thank you Rayyan! -NYSC
I so badly wanna learn levi's voice impression ..can u please do a video on it .
We'll pass on your request, Romario! -NYSC
when I sing my voice cracks. It's the most unwanted problem for me
Voice Lessons to the World Episode 12 can help you with this! - NYSC
Are these the only movements in each component . or can there be more movements in these components.
For example: can we do more with larynx then just doing up and down.
In the example, the larynx only moves up and down but the thyroid cartilage does rock back and forth a little to change vocal fold length and tension, which can affect pitch. Here's a video Brendan did about the larynx that we recommend watching, @Seduction Channel: ruclips.net/video/LbwUi3IHHDs/видео.html
-NYSC
So far I’m getting into this series I would love to see more. Keep it up 😉
Lots and lots more to come Jesse! - NYSC
New York Vocal Coaching thanks ☺️
this is so awesome! how long does it usually take to master a voice?
A month?
When i lower the soft palate/raising the back of my tongue, it doesn't work-
The front of my tongue moves and the back doesn't seem to or the front of my tongue is just rounded in my mouth..
I don't know what to do because for most of the impressions i try; you need to be able to do that and i don't know how.
Thanks though, have a good day.
Oh no! We're sorry you're having trouble with this! Our Component Focus series might help you! -NYSC
Niiiice!
Thank you Awes! - NYSC
How do I control the soft palette?
How do we figure out where each component is placed or moving in voices
Some of our other videos talk about the anatomical aspects of how our voice works (the Component Focus videos) but if you mean placement when singing, we would suggest you watch our videos by our owner, Justin Stoney :) We hope this helps @Seduction Channel. -NYSC
can you do a voice impression of the Frozen character Olaf??
Sounds interesting. Do you have a Spotify podcast for this?
Unfortunately, at this time, we do not, @Xavier Mukodi. Just this RUclips channel. Make sure you subscribe! -NYSC
Hi, im a voice artist too recently i was doing joe pesci dialogue impression which was "O you think im funny did i tell a joke" at first 2 days i was nailing it but on 3rd day it just get worst like i was stuck at the first word "O" and after trying really hard i can say it but when i see myself in mirror my tongue was stuck between my teeth and my body was just like a statue so is this apnea? or stammering? or stuttering?.
Hi Maaz! I'm not sure, but you can take your question to Brendan in his RUclips live chat! More info in our Community Tab! -NYSC
Currently trying to impersonate Maynard keenans voice
Please give us examples of voices and how you'd do them?
Stay tuned for future episodes to see specific voices! - NYSC
Can't wait. This is a dream come true. Been wanting to figure specific singers voices. You're the best!!!
can you do a video about how to make your voice gravely
🖤👌💪🏽✅. 😱 THANK YOU.
Thank YOU! -NYSC
Do you guys have any tips for doing Eda Hawthorn from The Owl House?
Hi @Toko Fukawa! Other than observing videos of Wendie Malick acting an listening to her, not much. But we have added Eda to our list of possible future voice breakdowns and hope to get to her soon to help you out. In the meantime, if you haven't already, make sure to subscribe to our channel so you don't miss any more amazing content! -NYSC
do u have any services where we can pay for u to help us figure this out for any singer?
We're not sure, but you could consider reaching out to us at New York Speech Coaching and seeing if he does that kind of thing in his normal sessions! :) -NYSC

Awesome! :D We hope our videos help! Keep up the awesome work! -NYSC
I just want to do an impression of the invader zim's voice
Any advice?
Hi @Ferdinand Bardamu! Our advice would be to keep watching our channel because someone has already suggested for us to do that voice in a voice breakdown ;) Hopefully we can get to him soon! Otherwise, perhaps watch videos of him and do your best until we can get a video out for you :) -NYSC
Thanks so much this was so helpful now I can hopefully try to beat my friends Kermit accent
Woo! So glad this helped and we hope our Kermit episode helps too! -NYSC

I'm here trying to Imitate Dio's Voice👀
Hope I would be able to do it someday
Hi @Caelum Onii-chan! If you keep practicing, we're sure you can get it eventually. -NYSC
@@NewYorkVocalCoaching yes thanks for the video
You sound so much like a CEO that’s nice
Brendan appreciates your kind words! :) -NYSC
I feel like I've mastered every component but can't change all at once for one voice
Hi @Replitzit! Have you tried incorporating them one at a time and stacking them instead of trying to do them all at once? That may help. -NYSC
wait how do you move the back of your tongue
In the future we will do an in-depth video of the tongue. But here is a quick tip for now! Keep your jaw relaxedly open and the tip of your tongue touching the back of your bottom front teeth. Then, slide from the vowel "EE" to the vowel "AH" and vice versa. You will feel the back of the tongue moving! We hope that helps! - NYSC
In my opinion, I’ve been naturally decent at voice impressions.
This just elevated me to another level.
That's great, @BlendedMilk! Try some of our other voice impression videos and challenge yourself some more :) -NYSC
Do one on Slavoj Zizek
