So like idk how quickly they were able to make fake green copies, but it was my first copy. Like near release….. playing b&w then got blue and my brother had red. Legit thought it was a real release since I got it so early on. But it was English, well translated and everything was green when I got a GB color. It’s not a cheap knockoff like many make it out to be, like it was legit and sold in stores as an actual release. I have always thought that "Pokémon Green" feels like THE first game in the series. I know that it is basically a very slightly different version of Red and Blue, but I like to think of it as "number 1" since it correponds to the green colour of the very first Pokémon "Bulbasaur".
@@Peter_1986 That's because it is. In Japan Pokémon Red and Green were the first two games. They released Blue a few months later with upgrades graphics and sprites. When they released Red and Blue in the rest of the world they took the upgraded graphics from Blue and applied them to Red as well (so the international Red version is different from the Red in Japan)

Red and Green were the first games in Japan... And i think, only the international Yellow version had Game Boy Color support. He could have played it on Game Boy Color and it would have just one color pallete. Somebody else please correct me if I'm wrong.
