Honestly. I think you should do an entire episode on following a few people around town 😂
Yes😂
Genius!
(Edit) this man needs 69 likes,
follow one person that left a jail and see what he does.
Yes! Do it!
Appsro from Neebs Gaming did that with a pedestrian in Grand Theft Auto V, once.
He had a whole storyline about him leaving work and was getting ready to go fishing for the weekend.
Then, right before he was going to go he got killed by a random accident. 😂
Appsro is a good story teller.
17:40 "We have lost the Paddy Mobile, don't know where that's got to."
It was stolen from Matt, that's why the police were there. (Matt also works as a coordinator at the police station).
Sounds too reasonable. I think there's more going on. I think Matt is a dirty cop.
Well "Matt" also apparently works as a Coordinator at the Police Dept. according to when he changes Cedric to Matt - sooo ... I guess his car was stolen AND he got a job offer? Since before he was just an "Educated Teen" going to high school?
Damn, what a rollercoaster of a month for Mat.
First his father missed Christmas and New Year by going to work, then his Padmobile got stolen then he got a job in the police station.
That bottom part of a guitar where the strings come out is called a bridge. We need a bridge review
Matt: trying to bust a myth.
Also Matt: FAR too invested into this reality game show
The double round poocanoes needs a supplementary reserve to accomplish the ultimate strongest shape of all.
And make it a dam, you got to release the pressure sometimes
Little did you know this was the plan the whole time.
@@kendallguier1378 in hindsight you're probably right lol
That said the way he built the two originals poocanoes differs from his usual strong designs.
Sometimes he does this shape accidentally, allegedly...
I for one think it's just the natural final evolution of any strong shape in the history of the world
That stalking segment was gold 😂
for 1st myth: firenados are an actual thing, since fire makes its own wind, it can sometimes form a tornado that drags the flames up into it, look it up.
for 3rd myth: they probably made it that way so you dont have to put as many towers, and also because you would put them where fires happen, which would just be annoying to have to put the tower out too
for 4th myth: its probably related to sky access rather than shadows (day cycle doesnt exist) so if you made an overhang over one of them or lots of buildings maybe it would reduce it
for 5th myth: despite the game not reflecting it, tornados and typhoons suck up a lot of water, and are the origin of stories of raining fish, since they suck up the fish with the water. in your city it would probably also suck up the poocano
for 6th myth: real fires do speed up uphill, but more because the flames reach more unburned material than the heat rising.
for 7th myth: a sinkhole is similar to a fire break, which is an empty ditch which physically stops the fire from spreading over it. it would not stop or put out the fire, but would stop it spreading, also since dirt is not flammable it would put out any fire on it when it forms
the bottom bit of a guitar is called the bridge
for 8th myth: that kind of data would be stored efficiently in a matrix, and would be retrieved for each citizen, which would also allow the game a perfect population count. it would also explain hella ram use.
sry for the long comment, interesting things be interesting.
5:29 hit testing from the fire tower to the fire is actually nice and not very expensive. the devs in this game really go all the way with the simulation
A whole video dedicated to following citizens around the city to see what they do would be hilarious
Myth: Forcing your City Population to drink water that is only sewage will kill the entire City.
It will
it will, done it 3 times
@@willamshugo283 on accident right?
@@mayonasepizza right…?
@@willamshugo283 dawg. . . answer the question 😰
Myth - Matt can make a fully functional city with no warning lights that contains at least 5,000 engineers.
I’m gonna go with “myth busted”
Hardhats on, it’s time for Engineering!
Checklist and osha inspector out its time for architecting 🤮
Tip: the blue text in popups is clickable, which will pan to the person/item/place. Say, clicking the name of the owner of a vehicle will pan to where s/he is in the city. For stalking purposes, pan to the owner instead of the vehicle so that you can still follow even after the car disappeared.
About the solar panel myth, looks like you had static time of day, maybe it only works with dynamic time of day to not produce at night and in shadows ? (as static ToD will have static shadows)
Cedric cooper spent 5 years of his life indoors after the disappearance of his father and the crime scene, inspiring him to go to a police academy.
Matt never figured out a consistent definition of "busted" or "confirmed" did he?
Matt the well educated adult that spends 5 months in his home with barely any human contact xD
Poopnado is one of those words I never knew I needed to hear.
Yep, it was a real shitstorm ;)
I would love to see an animated short of Matt not leaving the house and his dad going to work but getting in to a an accident and police coming over to let Matt know. Therefore taking his car (being under his dad's name) and finding happiness after multiple people have visited him. Over months and months
Myth: could a city work with only place/helicopter? no road-train. Only air support
It'd be so cool if Cities: Skylines got an update where disasters and weather actually interacted with each other.
For the firewatch tower: The radius it shows when you put it down follows the ground, so if you raise the ground, the area goes along the side of the mountain making it reach upwards instead of going straight. I think if you place a watchtower next to the mountain, you will see how it effects the radius.
Yep exactly what I was thinking too !
Now I want to know the full story of Matt, Paddy and the Lake residence :O
Can you make a sideways city/vertical city?
Silly Matt, you don't need the sun to power a solar plant when you've got all the brightest engineering minds working there! They produce enough light on their own to power the whole thing!
Myth: To stop the tsunami you need to dig a big hole to the lowest point possible on the tsunami map and put the strongest drainage pumps in (you might need building anarchy turned on and a couple minutes of your life to fill the hole with pumps.) the further back the hole goes the easyer it is to stop the tsunami.
Solar power plants do increase or decrease depending on the weather and time of day but not shade apparently, And another good myth busting video!
In all fairness, curved walls have their uses, ranging from silos for grain storage( more storage with less material)to the interior of a theatre/ concert hall (better acoustics). But for most things more traditional shapes are more practical.
The burning forest looks like an avocado. This is art!
I have to thank my neighbor for parking in front of my house this one particular time.
Some hoodlums went through the neighborhood and they were crimping people's valve stems. They seemed to be targeting random cars, maybe making sure they werent in front of houses with doorbell cameras.
On our street his car was the only one hit! Could have been mine! Or worse my wife's!
He never parked in front of our house again, but then the hoodlums never came back or at least never pulled that particular piece of vandalism again
I think you should build a cablecar to the top of your sky city (but the cable car should go up and down under nearly 90° angle)
The not returning to their own homes thing was real at one point. People would travel to random jobs then when done travel back to random homes. People complained and they released an update to fix it.
Myth: An earthquake will rupture the walls of the poopcano.
Myth: A sinkhole will rupture the walls of the poopcano.
"Don't you just love a happy ending to a mythbusters episode" meanwhile pans out see all of the skull and bones (death) icons all around the city.
Maybe you could even try turning the Poonado into the strongest shape. That would be interesting
*poocano
I think the biggest take away is that even tornadoes are repulsed by architects and would rather dissipate than get near them.
Imagine if our reality is just a simulation, and a weird engineer whose obsessed with the strongest shape was stalking you to see if we really have permanent addresses…
4:35 GET OUT OF MY HEAD GET OUT OF MY HEAD GET OUT OF MY HEAD GET OUT OF MY HEAD
Myth - you can trap everyone in the city by deleting the roads around the city, and then deleting all the houses causing them to aimlessly drive around or cause a massive traffic jam.
Time to destroy architects with righteous flying poop. Punishment has reached the unworthy.
The crime was probably the Paddy Mobile been stolen by an Architect
myth: adding another circly thing next to another circly thing will make it look like a strong structure form
Whoever designed this game has really done their homework and even created stories
16:37 Now we know what Cooper was doing at home for 4 months😂😂
Rce: makes a lot of skyscrapers
Glass factories: INFINITE MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“All the Engineers that live beneath them (architects)”
It’s been in front of us all this time! Matt believes that architects are above Engineers!
Myth: Can you completely block the wind from a wind turbine by surrounding it with mountains or buildings?
Hearing you dunking on architects in every video makes me giggle every single time 🤭
I’m a civil drafter, and I can’t count how many times I’ve heard engineers say “I don’t know wtf that architect was thinking…” 🤣😂🤣
Edit: I think Matt’s car was stolen, that’s why the cops were there 🧐
Architects didnt learn the power to make tornadoes go away from them, the tornado just didnt want to end their suffering on the island
I think the crime scene was the man died because he was trapped in his own room for 3 months by the old man. And then he left the crime scene to escape the cops.
Christ, how aren't you tired of this series? RCE has become the master of beating dead horses
3:36 We need to build a wall, we need to build a wall, we need to build a big beautiful wall.
What kinds of crimes are Engitopia Matty and Paddy committing? Probably flooding crimes. Matty floods games. Paddy floods the garden.
Even tornado doesn't want to deal with architects.
Would love so see Matt build a actual realistic city.
Myth: since rocks are hard for the water and they aren't affected by gravity, you can build a bridge-canal made of rocks redirecting the water on it
such horrible negligence on the city planners part, truly a tradegy that could have been so easily avoided, my heart goes out to the victims
I tried stalking people in Cities skylines and sometimes they seem to teleport to a new house
Breaking news: Matt the Real Civil Engineer admits that architects live above engineers
Hi Matt, I've got a Myth for about Cities Skylines. Blimps can fly under water.
Thanks for making me laugh!
Matt I don't know WHAT it is but something about you and your humor is something hilarious on another level to me when I'm drunk, love your content been following since 400k, keep up the good work man!!
Myth (and also Confirmed, but you might add it to your list): "You can put out Fires by just holding the WATER SOURCE 1s (active) above the Fire".
5:19 - Actually that is *confirmed* , that a "fire watch tower CANNOT see through a mountain". 🙂
You should turn one of the poo volcanos into a tiered citadel like Minas Tirith
10:12, proof architects are superior
Love your channel and myth busting. Did you know an earthquake will stop a forest fire? Try it.
Myth: Did RCE steel the idea of the Poocano from Blitz?
"A shit storm has erupted in LEGO City!"
"HEY!"
It's hilarious how rce gets myth busted and confirmed mixed up all the time xD the myth is "something something" and rce goes "myth busted because something something is correct" xD
Look into using the 81 tiles mod. Use the whole map for more engineering
Come on Mat I thought you where better that this... pause it at 2:21 and take a look at the bottom right. It tells you the tower is 36 meters tall. So, mountains over 36 meters will, and did block the view; but a hill under 36 meters did not. I really had faith in you. :P Love your work, Thanks for being you. :D
Deleting a DAM at the ocean creates a TSUNAMI
Your videos are great, I really love them! Btw I suggest trying one game called Vintage Story, it is like a minecraft mixed with a realistic survival. It may sound weird but it is actually pretty unique and doesnt feel like a copy or something like that. I think you could do a lot of things in that game with your creativity and the possibilities that the game offers.
Actually, when you put a tornado by a forest fire you end up with an infernado (a fiery tornado). The heat of the forest fire can then help to sustain the infernado by providing more updrafts.
You forgot to give the tornado human sacrifices for it to work. Build a bunch or college campuses, and architect schools. Also trailer parks attract tornadoes.
You need a name for the poocano. I suggest "Mount Shitna", "Bumpeii" or "Arse-Crack-o-toa".
Matt the bit where the strings come out is called a BRIDGE
The guy he picked was a police coordinator and the cops came to his house to investigate a crime scene!
Myth knob shaped cities are the most efficient
I know why they build architecture. Because secretly every engineer wants to be an architect and they all know that only architects are the real thing.
Anyone can become an engineer, but only true masters become architects.
The stalking bit made my day😂
Maybe this one to try out: "A level 10 Earthquake can 'break' the POOPvolcano".
The problem with trying to 'stalk' somebody is that the game sometimes despawns people and vehicles if it gets too crowded. You can avoid that by turning off despawn mode in TM/PE.
Once your Engitopia city is finished and, let's be honest, broken, you could give it to Biffa for fixing ^^
0:13 there is actually a brick fence building technique where the fence is wavy and not only is it just one brick thick it's also cheaper and stronger than a two brick thick fence
That was one of the better merch plugs I've seen :D
Myth:
A city can defend itself from a forrest fire with their sewage dump pipes.
Technically it's more of a Poopspout than a Poopnado.
Day 4 of posting a myth idea: "If you drop a meteor on a nuclear power plant, the explosion is going to be bigger."
all of your city skyline videos are soo good upload the more please
👍
the stalking was surprisingly entertaining.
A wall of fire towers can protect a city from forest fire.
Myth: The subway (Metro) will operate normally, even if you will summon Tsunami. Ofc it wouldn't if you will summon meteor, or earthquake because it will just destroy tunnels.
They nicked the Paddymobile, that was what the police were investigating! It all makes sense..
The sims living at a permanent address is a nice detail.
10:00 the archatects are so bad with building that the tornado went away
Your city be like: cities skylines: poop edition
Someone stole matts truck, that's why his truck was gone and the police were there then he had to walk wif paddy :(
You see the tornado was an engineer simply hearing the word architect caused it to go away.
Myth: can you make a full lake out of the high interest towers
