I would say the game is similar to the classic roller coaster tycoon and rct2 even parkitect which is a great game we covered recently. That said the closest game to this would be Planet Coaster which really helped bring back the classic sandbox theme park building experience into the modern world! This game of course doubles down on the impossible fun nature of coasters which allowed me to create the worlds longest coaster!

I saw this video and thought: Spiff wants to make a Lets Game With Josh video.
I know that it's going to be good when you start a roller coaster tycoon game with a presentation about the physical limits of the human body.
Park Beyond isn't really a roller coaster tycoon game. Which is a good thing, since the coasters in Park Beyond are absolutely terrible when you look at them from a money making perspective. And the coaster's stats are only based on the hooks you build into it, so meet the requirements for whatever hooks your going for and you can do anything else you want with it. That gives you some freedom, but honestly I'm very disappointed with how Park Beyond's coasters work.

@@helldivenews It's got some original ideas that are worth developing, but the problem IMO is that it doesn't take ENOUGH ideas from PlanCo. They could at least have allowed you to assign your staff to specific working areas, for example. And while "Beyond" obviously refers to the impossification system, I'd like to think it aimed to go "beyond" what has gone before (PlanCo). But instead it's quite limited in many ways compared to PlanCo. From a tycoon game perspective in particular, I just cannot recommend Park Beyond right now because of those limitations.

To be fair, the physical limits are important. Granted, the trick is to keep the coaster BELOW the limits, but still.

I just finished Mr. Steams Wild Ride and I can say it was totally worth the ticket price 10/10 would ride again.

This ride was so fun and safe, no authorities should question it.
As a theme park safety inspector, I can confirm that this is indeed a safe, fun, and magnificent ride.
You would have to ride it at least once.
When they said “the ride never ends”, they really mean it
the ride only stops in case of emergency. dying is not an emergency.

I went to this themepark when I was 6, and although it was hard to do my thesis with all the beavers, I'd like to inform you guys I just left the park and gratuated at age 94. Thank you mr. Steam! 😀
The idea of being a full month into a rollercoaster just to hit a corner and be obliterated is truly quality construction.

Make sure you got enough money for them $10m taco croissants.
Just go in a Zorb, inconvenient and a nuisance to the rest of the patrons, but you'll be fairly unharmed if anything happens.

@@maxbennett5412 Think of the worst town in your area that's become a meme because of how bad it is (Bakersfield here in California...or Fresno, either one. One is the armpit of CA, the other is the a**hole.), and that's Slough for the UK. I had a good laugh about it, myself, because a streamer I watch all the time was born in Slough, and it's become a joke among his community.

I want this whole ride captured in real time and first person and a stream that just loops that recording over and over again. That's how we should use our computing power!
The ease of build, direct terrain deforming, absolute no limit without bugs, cannot envy anything to any other even much bigger budget game in the genre. Crazy rides remind me of the creativity in theme park ps1

Looking at this I think a "unalive tycoon" type of game would actually be pretty addictive.
EG: You manage the afterlife, and since people effectively are now immortal the new thrill to seek out is ending themselves in exciting ways, only before respawning again.
Could even add a mechanic that separates people based on pain tolerances (some enjoy pain...) or the like to better target specific wants.
Or have it that you have to manage "good" people vs "bad" people and have them receive either punishment or reward appropriately.
Being a Member and allowed to watch the whole stream (including the extended 1st person ride section) was a great experience, I do recommend it

I was there for this stream. He came back, said he drank his tea, then left again. Then when he finally returned the ride was over and he cranked it up to 10 pass throughs and left again. One of my favorite stream experiences
I know that subtlety's not the man's strong suit, but I can't believe you didn't get my man Josh for this. Killing innocents and generally being a nuisance using theme parks is his jam!
I would comment how insane and cruel this is, but then I remembered making rooms in the sims that could only fit in ine chair and a fish tank and it had sad clown paintings on each wall.
Of course there was a sim sitting in there with no way out.
I have British ancestory, I guess this makes sense now.

Watching this masterpiece being made on stream was so wild. Plus the extra enjoyment of a first person view of the full ride at normal speed. Least we did have the Beavertons to keep us company, their son was so entertaining with his wild rail grinding skills that I completely forgot I was dying from starvation and dehydration.
Every time I’m interested in a game to play you make it perfectly balanced and I instantly lose interest in it knowing the way spiff plays will never be something I can achieve 😂😂😂

0:20 I just wanna say how much i absolutely love this style of collab vid. I remember your two pt campus vids (iirc) where you did that as the best vids of those games; it was esp fun to watch and also introduces ppl to potentially new to them creators they may enjoy the style of
Given the size of your channel and audience, its also rly awesome that you collab with relatively smaller channels that are still puttin out high quality vids
I personally dont like watchin vids where multiple creators play together at the same time, bcuz i tend to be unable to process what is goin on/bein said even on rewatches... Just cuz my sensory processin disorder, and esp the auditory part of it here, makes it so all that just becomes noise that is impossible to distinguish
As is, i alrdy cant watch a vid most of the time if it aint captioned; and autogen is barely tolerable, tho in some cases its useless still bcuz of other noises in the video or accents that the algorithm isnt trained on
But this is a grt way for me to exp that multiplayer collab feel while also havin it in an accessible way; which i love. On that, i also love that Drae decided to switch his multiplayer content to a second channel, so i can have those in a separate place for when i can tolerate them. Genius move right there, tho a playlist or two cud also have worked heh

That seems like a totally normal theme park I would visit
You even had a build-in incinerator at the end to clean up the bodies. The only thing to work out would be people asking why the ride always comes back empty and smelling of bbq.
