ABOUT & GAMEPLAY: KERBAL SPACE PROGRAM
In Kerbal Space Program, take charge of the space program for the alien race known as the Kerbals. You have access to an array of parts to assemble fully-functional spacecraft that flies (or doesn’t) based on realistic aerodynamic and orbital physics. Launch your Kerbal crew into orbit and beyond (while keeping them alive) to explore moons and planets in the Kerbol solar system, constructing bases and space stations to expand the reach of your expedition.

I don't know why, but it's somehow funnier for a spaceship not to be able to move at all, even under very strong thrust, than it is to watch it explode after a crash.
This is only because there are no people to crash into and everything is made of minecraft bedrock.
Then you will like static fire tests that they do in real life.
I like the trucks that are just randomly driving
Once you escape the cloud layer maybe activating the thrusters on the falcon would help. You had great angle and stability right before then lost it suddenly. Having the falcon detach just as you escape may help as well. It was so close though man, almost.
Always remember there are no mistakes in KSP only learning opportunities.
That's what I tell myself anyway.
Let's tell that to my crews currently stuck in orbit as flesh satellites...

Something I've enjoyed about blitz is his ability to seemingly post different games at random. Though I havent seen all of the timberborn videos, I have wanted to see the entire map be surrounded in levees to whatever the altitude limit is.
4:39 to solve that problem, hold alt, just trust me on this one, it works.

Blitz if you hold alt you can snap parts on, and you can dupe parts by alt-clicking them

I could make a custom launcher for that craft if you wanted to get it to orbit.
The KSP rule:
If it isn't moving but it should strap more busters, if it is moving but it shouldn't strap more struts.
Struts to keep it together, boosters to make it go. Repeat as necessary.
Somebody knows their kerbal.

if you look at the aeronautic display cross, you can see the direction that the ship wants to fly in. in this case, it wants to nose downward. as evidenced by when you put the 4 large boosters on @6:39 and again with 2 @6:54, then again pretty much every time you launched. Its akin to aerodynamic drag force on the ship.

So you stuck a bunch of engines on the Falcon and made it look like the Tantive IV... eh, seems legit. I mean, it's no weirder than some of the *other* mutant ships I've seen cobbled together in the SWEU. 😆
you shod release the SRB's/boosters before it runs out of fuel to avoid the boosters from colliding with the rocket body.
you shod also tilt the rocket a little and stop the engines then turn them on Again. slowdown to lower orbit
if not in orbit and stil in a parabolic orbit speed up to go higher but sideways. you go sideways because the
earth is round and it's easier. also if the rocket is to heavy you need more fuel but to cary that fuel you need more
SR boosters but it gets heavy so you need more fuel but to cary that fuel you need more

1 Small Problem Blitz... those are Rapier Engines... which means... They Need Air... They Aren't Rocket Engines.
Ontop of that, using a vanilla Falcon isn't going to work. Since Star Wars thrusters are a mod... Oof.

Fun fact: Parsecs are a measure of distance not time. THis was a fluke by the starwars creators
Technically got retro-actively explained in the books (faster you could go, the shorter the safe path could be because of how hyperdrive worked), but yeah, definitely wrong when they wrote it.

Reason why it fails is because not enough thrust to weight ratio, and of course, the lift, weight and engine type, people would use nuclear engine when making ssto
What? No. About the nuclear engines for ssto, that is. They suck in atmosphere. People may make them work in combination with other atmospheric engines, but they won't work by themselves.
Blitz did actually figure out what was wrong at the end of this video, which is cool. It was a bit funny watching him go from a ship with bad aerodynamics that compensated at low speed with engine gimballing to a ship with off-center thurst that compensated with aerodynamic control surfaces. The first fails when you get too fast, and the second fails when you don't have enough atmospheric pressure.

Flip your space plane to vertical then put two more of that big engine on the back. It'll make orbit with SAS on.

In WorldBox in the settings pres the hamburger multiple times and a menu will pop upp
The reason the vertical takeoff kept tipping over was because there was a thrust to drag to weight unbalance which made it unstable to launch. also SAS is not the pilot/Jeb, rather it's feed back loop AI where it detects rotation and automatically tries to fix it. The reason it still wouldn't launch upwards properly was because it was unbalanced.
He could try to compensate that in a few ways, the easiest would be lots o gyroscopes, or my personal favorite, put another millennial falcon on the other side
Actually, it is very possible that it was Jeb doing the SAS. That is one of the features of the Pilot class of Kerbals. It allows you to use SAS features without an SAS module on board. What level they are determines what features you get.
I'm also not sure I would call classical controls "AI". If so, cruise control on any car would be an AI.

I was thinking, adding some SAS modules would help, or adding some additional rockets on the side of the space plane with swivel nozzles, or activating the falcon engines with the rocket still on.
There's also rcs but that needs additional fuel tanks and unique thrusters.
Tbh the millennial falcon really isn't built for air flight, it's horrible statistically 😅

You need SAS! Activate by pressing t. It is stability assist.

Back in my day we had no patched conics, no maneuver nodes, not even sphere of influence change points! We had to fly uphill both ways to get to the Mun!
