I have the same light strips. I love them. Is there a way to change the rainbow startup sequence when they first come on?

Unfortunately, that is the default and can't be changed for startup.

Link goes to wrong item and I can’t find a set for the “old” (Model 3) center console (like yours). They all seem to be for the 2021-2023 console.

That is the only link. They don't make LED lights for the old console anymore.

Did you ever get to fix the squiggly part where the center console meets the phone charger lid? I see that it is squiggly on both sides.

Unfortunately that is an aspect of having the original console. This kit is designed for the refreshed console that has a different shape. It seems a lot of the accessory makers are not making items for the older cars anymore.

Thanks for the video. However, idk if its just me but I feel like the quality of your installs have gone down. Maybe you were in a rush and have other things going on now, or maybe you install and take out so many things that you just don't bother paying extra care or attention to detail anymore, or maybe because its not your daily driver or are looking to get rid of it soon. Either way for some of us owners we want 3rd party accessories to look as OEM as possible. For example I would never buy this product if every time I open my armrest it'll look like I'm storing a can of worms or Medusa's head in there, so it would have persuaded me to get this one if you had showed me how the rear console power plug works. The center console didn't look at all finished either, the sides had very noticeable squiggles, and the top was just hanging loose, there wasn't a good shot (wide and close up) of how it all looks in the daylight once every cable is tucked in nicely, probably because it didn't look good in the first place. There were a lot of sections where the video was cut so you could do it off camera and for some folks who aren't proficient DIY'ers it can be discouraging. But I get it, I mean its easier to just stop recording and do it off camera, after all you've done it a thousand times yourself and even all your panels are loose now. I used to watch you meticulously record every angle and go through all the motions of the install on camera without cuts, so that's probably why I felt this way. Anyway I still appreciate your videos from time to time, in fact I bought the EVBase dashboard streamer light from your previous video a year ago, but I would not do the same for this one because I don't know if the sides will look good or if the plug in the back will work.

Thanks for the feedback. Since I had already done a video on the dashboard, I felt I didn't need to go into as much detail. Thanks for pointing out my previous video installations. I must admit, the weather is cold and this time of year isn't the best for installing things! I'll promise to be more diligent in future videos. This kit is really designed for refreshed Model 3/Y that have the new console. The squiggles are the result of having to route the LEDs which don't bend up/down (side to side only). Yes, it doesn't look as good as it could - and I should have mentioned it in the video. As far as the wiring goes, yes a lot of these installs would be better with less wiring. You could use some zip ties to tame the cord nest inside the console. I have other videos where I use the rear console data port. However, I have so many items daisy chained back there, I can't fit any more inside the trim area. Also, I have no plans on selling my Model 3.
