I love Kaffe Fassett always so that quilt is my favorite. The understated one is nice, too. I always find it wonderful that the same pattern can look so different with a change in color palette!
Even though I live Kaffe Fassett fabrics, my favorite of the two quilts is the more understated (blue and beige) quilt. Thank you, Donna, for another excellent tutorial! You are an inspiration!!
My favorite is the blue shades if The French Twist! I think it is just stunning! I really enjoy your videos. I am very new to quilting…only made one so far…but I have learned so much from just watching you! Thank you and Merry Christmas to you, Matt, and your staff!
Such a hard decision to decide on which quilt I like best. I'm one of those raw ones (from comments I've read over the years who has not been in love with Kafe fabrics) but you've changed my mine with this quilt pattern. This quilt pattern was not too busy with the bold colors. Thank you and your crew for the amazing tutorial. I may have to try some Kafe fabric on my next quilt. Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year to you, your family, crew and employees.
Hi Donna, I am so in love with the pink version of the French Twist. I think I need to make one of these!!! I'm a long time lurker, I don't usually say anything, but really love your quilts and explanations. Merry Christmas.
I love both as they are so different, however I especially like the more understated colors with the creams and blues! I could easily see this as a design for one of my grandsons. It also looks like it would be easy to add additional rows and/or borders to adjust the size of the quilt.
Great idea - making this for a grandson! It would be wonderful in almost any fabrics. I’m thinking about solids with black small rectangles and inner border. Then use a wild print for the outer border.
I really prefer the K Fasset one. As I get older the bright colours are becoming my favourites. Maybe they are more cheerful! Love how you make any pattern easy by breaking it down into sm parts. Thanks.
I loved them both: one rumbustiously cheerful and one coolly elegant. Your clear, simple instructions are so confidence-building that I think even I (a total beginner) could make a stab at that pattern. I love watching your videos and am fascinated by the long-arm quilter. Thanks for letting us see it perform for longer this time! All good wishes to the Jordan family from London, England.
Of course I am a bright color person. But the gray quilt would be appropriate for a special gentleman in one's life. Happy Holidays to the Jordan family, their fabric family and Quilters and Creators.
I really enjoyed watching you make the Kaffe quilt but when you revealed the elegant one, I knew it was my favorite! Happy Christmas & a blessed New Year.
This tutorial was planned perfect! You make me believe that I could whip this up before Christmas if I needed too. Simple but elegant. Your tutorial always inspire us and it is making our Quilt Bucket List a little longer, but I wouldn't miss a Friday"quilt tutorial from the the Jordan Fabric Crew!" Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year! ( I know that I am not in the majority, but I am not a Kaffe Faucet fan - his fabric is just too busy for my eye!) therefore, my favorite was the Sedate Recent Summerset. Godspeed!
I love both quilts Donna, my choice would be the understated one in blue. Thank you for all the tutorials you do. Love the Christmas log cabin quilt. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Thank you for letting us know how to finger press, reminding us not to stretch our long strips when sewing them into sets, and how to iron so we don't stretch out our bias cut pieces!! I'd love to see you do a quilt that has big areas of background material - and then quilting it with a contrasting thread and a recognizable Quilt pattern. And to top it off, let us see your quilting machine do it's job for (a lot) longer than you usually do. :-) If you can't or don't want to, I understand. I love your tutorials!!
It's Kaffe Fassett hands down. I love, love his fabrics! Thank you for all the great videos. I watch every one. So inspiring. I have several quilts in mind to make from them.
My favourite quilt is absolutely the bright coloured one. It's so cheerful in these dark days. A true sunny happy maker. By the way, I love the way you wear your hair in a classic ponytail in this video. It is very becoming.
Good Morning Donna, I love them both. I think the blue one looks more masculine which is really nice because so many quilts are made to be more on the feminine side. Love your videos!! Thank you also to Matt for his hard work.
I love the understated one because I love blues and creams and patterns that make them meld together! It really stands out more for me than something bright coloured! The colourful one is quite gorgeous too!
Am I the only one who can watch the quilting machine go the entire pattern? Love those colors!
The bright Kaffe Fassett colors are always my favorite.
I love watching you. This is first time I have made a real comment on anything. I do a thumbs up. I have learned so much from you. Thanks
Bright Kaffe. It’s so beautiful!
Thanks for letting the quilting machine go a little bit longer. I love to watch and hear the stitching. You never make a bad fabric/pattern choice.
Love the bright Kaffe Fassett quilt.
I love Kaffe Fassett always so that quilt is my favorite. The understated one is nice, too. I always find it wonderful that the same pattern can look so different with a change in color palette!

I love the Kaffe quilt. So exciting.
I love the Kaffe one. I’m working on a quilt with a jelly roll of that parakeet colour way. It’s so cheerful!
Of course I am a bright color person.
But the gray quilt would be appropriate for a special gentleman in one's life. Happy Holidays to the Jordan family, their fabric family and Quilters and Creators.

Bright Kaffe for the win, it's gorgeous with all those bright colors!
I like them both! I know folks that would love the cheerful Kaffe, and folks that would prefer the more softened Regency.
My favourite quilt is absolutely the bright coloured one. It's so cheerful in these dark days. A true sunny happy maker.

Beautiful Quilt, Donna, as always. My preference is always the understated colorway.
