Donna these are wonderful ASMR videos!! The cutting sounds, the sewing machine noise, the iron, both dry and steam, your jewelry hitting the table, and the quilting machine!!!
I like them both. The first thing that I thought when I saw the more traditional one is that it would be cute to tie, as opposed to machine quilt, which would add to the gift box effect.
Love your tutorials and quilts.. I sometimes struggle with choosing fabrics but I have learnt so much by watching.. so a big thanks all the way from Australia..
I really like them BOTH! I think it would be fun to add some aplique bows here and there...just to dress it up. The dark background looks absolutely different. Fun pattern.
Both quilts are beautiful!! Love the Christmas quilt! Reminds me that soon our family will be together again! We all are in the medical field and cherish our times together. Thank you Donna for all your video's. You are wonderful!!!
I need to make this one! I love the red and green Christmas one but would love it as a bigger rectangular quilt. I am so inspired by everything that you do! Thank you Donna!
Gosh Donna, both of the quilts are awesome. I’ve watched your channel for a long time and have learned so much. Thank you thank you thank you. You’re the best.
Another Quilt that I will be adding to my quilt bucket list. It is amazing how different color changes the outcome of a quilt. If I was voting on a quilt I would pick the black background. It was a jaw dropper or eye Candy.
I love the Christmas throw. I love how you used the left over strips for the inner boarder, I never would have thought of that and it looks great. You are helping me stretch my imagination with quilting, LOL thanks for your videos.
This is the second time watching one of your videos where I was wowed by the second, and more modern quilt. I tend toward traditional, but you have me wanting to broaden my horizon! Thanks again, Donna!!!
I really loved the traditional colored quilt until...... you brought out the one with the black background. That's my favorite. Thank you Donna for the tutorial. You make me push myself when you show how easy it is to make a quilt by working on each block separate. Happy fall......hugs from Minnesota
Donna when you ask to choose it is so hard. I love both of them but I guess if I had to pick I would say the one with the black background. I love watching your videos. I watch every single day even if I have to watch them over and over. Thanks for all you do. Kathy
I like the second, rectangular quilt. It's shape is more functional, and the Christmas patterns are more understated = year-round usage. Thanks. Another easy and fun tutorial.
Even though I like the rectangle size for bedding, I do love the colors from the square quilt better. I love this pattern...I'm saving this video for the future.
OMG! I absolutely love this. I was trying to come up with a pattern to make everyone in my family a quilt I wanted something easy that I could just do the same thing over and over again to make it easier on my eyes. I've been having problems because I have cataracts and I had an eye stroke. I can't see very well these days. But because these are such straight lines it should be easy for me to get done. My eye stroke is getting better with the injections but I'm just waiting for the okay to have the cataracts done. I really think I can get this started in the meantime. There's a lot of kids in my family. Nieces nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and I have a new granddaughter. I have so much fabric and I need to downsize at my age so this is a perfect way to do it and make everyone a quilt. My color vision was really bad in the beginning all these problems no I was trying to figure something out where I could just use a couple of colors for each quilt. I'm really excited about getting started on this. I feel better already about being able to accomplish something with all these problems I'm having. I have about 40 of them to make LOL. With the ongoing heart problems as well, I hope I can get them all done before I kick the bucket LOL. As usual, Donna to the rescue.
Nancy, I pray you are feeling better soon, and that your eyesight is quickly restored. CHEERS to you, Quilter, and Godspeed! Lindsay, Sacramento, California ❤
@@lindsayschilling8707 that was so nice of you. Thank you so much. Never had problems and all of a sudden it's like everything's going crazy on me. LOL. I'm a rebel LOL and I'll get through this. Can't talk much cuz on top of everything else have polyps on my vocal cords. It's been crazy ever since I passed the 65-year Mark. Looks like I'm not aging very gracefully LOL. But I thank you so much for your comment. It's encouraging when people reach out to you. I have a lot of heart tests this week and I just want to get back to doing all the things I love to do and not feel so tired. My garden took a big hit this year as well as my sewing. Did not get to take care of it like I should have. I did get a lot of eggplant though. Now finding the strength to cook it all is a whole other story LMAO. Thank you again for your thoughts. God bless! I'll be fine.
Just keep putting one foot in front of the other maybe you could ask a family member to help you with the colors if your color choosing is in question right now. You could maybe tell them what color you wanted for each person. If that's already decided then you're closer to starting on each one. Not that you can't, just remembering before my husband had surgery his colors didn't match. He said he was so surprised at colors after surgery.
I love the "present" effect of the Christmas prints. This pattern has a lot of patchwork which is really fun. Adding to my "Jelly Roll Quilt" Pinterest board or future reference.
I prefer the traditional red and green square Christmas version of this quilt. It's a subtle Christmas theme without going overboard with timeworn holiday fabrics.
Loved the Traditional one tiny bit more but loved them both❤️ Also wanted to enter the give away and not sure in New Zealand viewers are able to … but I absolutely love your designs and videos ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The quilt with the black background was so lovely and the border really made it. The traditional one was nice but for me, the rectangular one is the big winner.
For me, the traditional colors are my favorite for a living room sofa at Christmas. HOWEVER, I was born on Dec 25th, & would love something like the brighter quilt as a bed quilt. Most folks would never know it was a holiday quilt that I was using year round! Bright & artsy enough for every day, but with a Christmas 🎄 "secret" there just for me!!
Sooo true! Wow, born on Christmas Day, how fun! I agree with you on the red/green quilt; it can be used year around. Happy Birthday early. Sacramento, California ❤
Donna, both are lovely, but I love the dark background and rectangular shape, those brighter colors really enliven the quilt. You make it all seem simple. You teach so well. Thank you for sharing this with us.😊❤🎉✂️🪡🧵🍀🦓Liz
Hi Donna, I like the Gridlock Quilt in the traditional red and green colors. I enjoy all of your tutorials. You are an excellent instructor. Thank you, keep the video’s coming.
Your second quilt is magnificent. Would not believe it was same pattern. These colors for the second quilt made it POP. Thank you for showing more than one way. Both are great
Another attempt of writing, you tube keeps stopping. I Love the colors of this Gride work quilt. Thanks for teaching us. I Love watching you cut, stack and sew the blocks together. Happy Quilting
I love the Christmas quilt but for functionality, the darker quilts are always more forgiving for use with children and pets! Thanks so much for all your videos!
I am usually a tradition Christmas person but I just love the oblong Gridlock Quilt with the black. Beautiful. Thank you for your tutorials. Yvonne Bowker. Wales. GB.
Donna these are wonderful ASMR videos!! The cutting sounds, the sewing machine noise, the iron, both dry and steam, your jewelry hitting the table, and the quilting machine!!!
The rectangular quilt is my favorite. Thank you for all the videos you make.😊
The Christmas one is nice, but the second one really stands out. I like that one the best.
I agree. I think it's the black background fabrics that make the colors pop.
I agree. The bright colors really speak to me!
I agree it looks best
Donna I can never choose between the two, they are both just as lovely. 💙💢
I like them both. The first thing that I thought when I saw the more traditional one is that it would be cute to tie, as opposed to machine quilt, which would add to the gift box effect.
Love both of them. Love the longer one, you make them so easy. Good job.😍😍😍😍😍😍
Love your tutorials and quilts.. I sometimes struggle with choosing fabrics but I have learnt so much by watching.. so a big thanks all the way from Australia..
CHEERS Deb & Australia! From a northern Quilting Sister. Lindsay, Sacramento, California ❤
I like the more traditional quilt. Turned out very pretty!
I really like them BOTH! I think it would be fun to add some aplique bows here and there...just to dress it up. The dark background looks absolutely different. Fun pattern.
I love the second Gridlock quilt best.
Both quilts are beautiful!! Love the Christmas quilt! Reminds me that soon our family will be together again! We all are in the medical field and cherish our times together. Thank you Donna for all your video's. You are wonderful!!!
CHEERS to our medical workers! Your all SUPERHEROES! Many, many thanks for all you do. ❤
I loved the traditional one, but when I saw the big one with black background I was hooked on that one. 😁
I need to make this one! I love the red and green Christmas one but would love it as a bigger rectangular quilt. I am so inspired by everything that you do! Thank you Donna!
I love the traditional quilt just fabulous.
Gosh Donna, both of the quilts are awesome. I’ve watched your channel for a long time and have learned so much.
Thank you thank you thank you. You’re the best.
Definitely the Traditional Red & Green quilt, but love them both❤️🖤
I love both! Each quilt tickles my traditional and modern tendencies. Donna, your silver hair colour looks fabulous 😊
I agree I love both and your hair color is very pretty.
I love the traditional quilt the best.
Another Quilt that I will be adding to my quilt bucket list. It is amazing how different color changes the outcome of a quilt. If I was voting on a quilt I would pick the black background. It was a jaw dropper or eye Candy.
Wow Donna, you really have an eye for color and fabrics. You chose the prefect pattern for the jelly roll.
I love the Christmas throw. I love how you used the left over strips for the inner boarder, I never would have thought of that and it looks great. You are helping me stretch my imagination with quilting, LOL thanks for your videos.
Oh ps Matt does a wonderful job too cutting everything so precisely and kudos to your son he also does well

This is the second time watching one of your videos where I was wowed by the second, and more modern quilt. I tend toward traditional, but you have me wanting to broaden my horizon! Thanks again, Donna!!!
I definitely like the traditional Christmas one that is square. Those colors just blend together...and are easier on my eyes!
I really loved the traditional colored quilt until...... you brought out the one with the black background. That's my favorite. Thank you Donna for the tutorial. I had the same reaction!

I like the black background. You always do such a beautiful job on your quilts. I would love 1 week of you mentoring me on sewing. ❤😊
I’m traditional so I’m in love with the Christmas throw. It’s so pretty. Thanks Donna. You always make sewing a quilt look so easy.

Thanks. Another easy and fun tutorial.
I really like the black background the best. Quilt really pops with the dark background.
I can never choose. I love them each in their own way. Your tutorials are the best! 👍😍
Definitely like the traditional red/green quilt the best!
Even though I like the rectangle size for bedding, I do love the colors from the square quilt better. I love this pattern...I'm saving this video for the future.
Both of your gridlock quilts is beautiful. I think I like the black background on is bright and happy.
I LOVE that one with the black background. I still like the other Christmas one too though. That's a beautiful giveaway quilt.
I like the one with the black background, makes the colors pop so much more. 🤩

I prefer the traditional but in a rectangle. Beautiful, Donna!
I love the "present" effect of the Christmas prints. This pattern has a lot of patchwork which is really fun. Adding to my "Jelly Roll Quilt" Pinterest board or future reference.
I really like the tradional red and green print. Thank you so much for your inspiring tutorials. Thank you from Germany. 💐
I love the second quilt! Both are gorgeous! Thank you for sharing!
Love them both. But I think the square one the best. Wish I had it now laying on the couch watching Quilt Videos.
Донна, привет! Я давно смотрю ваши уроки, многое уже и сама шью. Спасибо за ваш труд. Мне не зная вашего языка, всё понятно. 👍😊🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🏡
I liked them both and was so very pleased that you showed us the two versions.
Ooooh, I recognize that “hip to be square” block! Actually I just finished making one with purples. 😃
I love the black background quilt; it's so stunning!
I prefer the traditional red and green square Christmas version of this quilt. It's a subtle Christmas theme without going overboard with timeworn holiday fabrics.

The Christmas quilt is my favourite 😍😍😍
I Love the bright non- traditional quilt! Beautiful!
I love the traditional Christmas colors but the larger quilt for a bed. Thanks so much for the great tutorial.
They are both beautiful, but I like the first one you made best. Thanks Donna!

Also wanted to enter the give away and not sure in New Zealand viewers are able to … but I absolutely love your designs and videos ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love the dark one. Very modern and beautiful.
I like the square quilt with the red and green blocks and light background. The light background really makes the blocks shine. Twinkle, twinkle!
The quilt with the black background was so lovely and the border really made it. The traditional one was nice but for me, the rectangular one is the big winner.

I like the traditional Christmas quilt.

I love them both❣❣ But, I am drawn to the dark one. It just speaks to me...lol..😂🤣
Thanks for all that you do Jordan❣❤❣
I like the traditional quilt. Thanks for teaching a new quilter.
I don't care for square quilts because I do want them on the bed. I love this pattern. Great job Donna.
The second, larger quilt is my favorite, but part of that could be due to the fabric choice... I Love the "Star Flower" Christmas fabric line!❣️!
Such a beautiful quilt! Thanks for posting!
Donna there is no contest for me, I like the bright colour rectangle quilt. In fact I think its fab-ul-ous.
I am usually a tradition Christmas person but I just love the oblong Gridlock Quilt with the black. Beautiful. Thank you for your tutorials.
