This is a care guide on how to grow BIG & BEAUTIFUL Philodendron Gloriosum. If you're interested in buying the Gloriosum from Etsy, here is the link: tidd.ly/31ELVls
I just purchased a cutting potted with two big leaves and one about to unfold for $40 She is gorgeous but yours is beyond gorgeous! I can’t wait until mines grows more. Waiting patiently for that new leaf to unfold 😊
An elderly gentleman in our gardening club made me some aroid mix for my gloriosum 😊 it has equal parts charcoal, coco peat, orchid bark, perlite and red stone(gravel), it’s thriving.
Cool care tips and your Gloriosum looks amazing 😍 I wish I have one but it's so expensive and because of my care I might just end up killing it , so thanks so much for sharing your experience and care tips. Have a fab day 💚🌿
I have switched over to Mercari way better pricing for the seller and buyer with local delivery so an Uber will pick up and deliver your order helps me with my smaller orders.
I purchased a Gloriosum last October from Ecuagenera. Unfortunately, it lost 2 new leaves. Based on your care guide, I should not have let it dry out completely, and need to give it more humidity. I'm looking forward to it looking like yours.
Hmm depends on the conditions of the roots too. If the roots were not healthy when it arrived, it might have sacrificed the two leaves to focus on root growth. I purchased plants from there too and unfortunately the roots were damaged during shipping and the leaves all fell off a week later haha
I have one that that kept tearing and develop holes at times…. I did not realise that was due to lack or drop in humidity!!Great tips! They are my faves x I paid $100 Australian for mine…I did not realise at the time they were crawlers when I purchased it 😀 I might propagate …I am not sure yet!
Looking good! I don’t have one, so will just have to enjoy yours for now. I do have a baby verrucosum though, and am not too sure how to care for it lol. Forgot if you had one. I heard they are spider mite magnets, but so far mine is okay. It was a rescue though, so hopefully they won’t come back!!
Good luck!! I also don't have a verrucosum. But I heard they like humidity, so that shouldn't be an issue for you. I always loved the texture and colors on a verrucosum!!
My gloriosum was $55 for a rooted 2 leaf cutting with a new growth point. Pretty sure it was a mid cut though as the new leaves haven't been too big. Maybe I need to change the lighting since it's been in a bathroom that has a south facing window and a skylight
I bought one cheaply from a shop. It grows a new leaf and the oldest one dies off. The leaves seem to be speckled yellow when you see the light through them. Its stems don't seem as stiff as the ones on the video or as green. It's not in too much light. Does it have a disease? Any ideas?
My gloriosum has so many leaves turning yellow and also so many spots on all the leaves! I’m scared of losing my plant but I still don’t know what is going on with it! Do you have any advice? Thank you!!
I’m in November 2022 I got an 4in pot with 6leaves and one new growth for only $9 lol I’m in San Diego CA. YEA BUYING PLANTS FROM ETSY IS STUPID!!!! Get ur ass to lowes or HD so much cheaper.

Oh yes, the tears in the leaves happens to a lot of my philodendrons! Otherwise I think theyre very easy to care for. Do you think so too?
this my favorite philodendron! :D mine new leaf size almost tripled in half year time
Oh wow! I hope the leaves on mine will triple in size too~
Um filodrendon lindíssimo parabéns 😘❤

It’s my wishlist🙏 can’t wait 2 get one 🤗 but my apartment is only 70° so will it survive?🧐🤨nyc🇹🇹👒🧤
Hi Charmaine. It will definitely survive! but it might grow slower then it normal would in the ideal temperature.
Great video! I know, that this philo is crawler - but can I stick it into a pole? Thanks!
I purchased one with 5$ 💚😍
Good price I just paid $20. for a baby one.
what would be the diffrence between the Gloriosum and the McDowell??
I believe a Mcdowell is a cross between the Gloriosum and another philodendron. It looks like it doesnt have the velvety leaves like the gloriosum
@@FelineJungle ohh!! When I look at them from afar they look similar , then up close it’s so much different!

I imported one in late september and stuck her right in perlite. Im now horrified by the thought of having to move it out of perlite in spring 😂
Haha dont be! By that time it should have a lot of roots and should acclimate to soil nicely~
How often do you water your gloriosum?
Could you tell me what soil you use?
Here's video of my soil mix : ruclips.net/video/2tgFlZcjW7w/видео.html

I got a 6” at a greenhouse in Canada for $3.00. Prices went down a lot.
💚💚
👍👍👍
She either dropped in price a lot or is way cheaper in europe but at plnts you can buy a big one for just 50€ and you can get baby plants for 10€.
I just got one with multiple stems at home depot for 15 $
The price came down a lot. I got a small one at Home Depot for $12.99
I got mine for $8 at Lowe’s
Shipping and that certification kills me every time when I’m trying to get imported plants
💯 I agree! I like to order with a friend to split the cost! If you do that you can also buy more and get the free shipping girl!
June 2024, I just paid $20. Canadian for a small one.
I know its now 2023. I got my 6" pot for $14.99

The heart shape is not distinct to gloriosum.... Many plants have heart shaped leaf
haha yes 100%. I mean heart shaped leaves are a distinctive trait to the Gloriosum.
Ms Actually😅
haha thanks for pointing that out
