I remember this song making me feel so so understood when I was young and had multiple eating disorders, I can't believe someone who had to know to some extent because of this song how it is to go through that not only groomed children but pushed those poor girls into eating disorders.
I don't think he pushed them into eating disorders, but I don't think he cares that they were in one or did anything to help them out of it. Both are terrible and he needs to respond. Mental health is no excuse to do what he was accused of doing.
I don't believe he's guilty but the truth matters more that what we believe . We must wait for any formal conformations or at least listen to both sides

The “asking for help doesn’t make you weaker” got me on a personal level as the feeling of being weak and needy is something that kept me from asking for help so many times, especially since I would frequently believe everyone i don’t know (be it personally or online) had malicious intentions, making it difficult for me to trust anyone.

i watched this vid, jaiden's original vid, and the song when they first came out, and i thought it was really powerful.
now, though, after struggling withan eating disorder for ~ a year and trying to recover, but ultimately going nowhere for 9 months, it really hits hard. my parents constantly trigger me by talking about their own diets and weight loss. my mother and grandmother saying how they're jealous of my weight loss. i want to gain weight. ive gotten weak because my body cant build muscle. i tried to reach out for help, but i ended up just stressing my friend out. i cant tell my parents because of the pain it will put them through. im alone in this fight.
im constantly hungry, but the thought of eating and actual meal makes me feel sick. throughout the day, i eat maybe one meal over the course of 16 hours. i have no energy, im weak, im constantly cold, and when i do eat, i get a terrible stomach ache.
i dont know what the point im trying to make is. i guess i just wanted to get this off my chest

Hey there. I’m going through the same things. My family doesn’t know. I feel alone too. But just know that there are people out there that understand and want you to get better.
I'd just like to get off my chest that this and the music video helped me through an intense eating disorder. I had almost all of the eating disorders at the time besides bulimia. It was painful and restless and as soon as I saw these two videos it changed everything. You probably won't see this Boyinaband but I'd just like to say thank you to you and Jaiden.

I don't have an eating disorder but in a way I relate to the song due to anxiety. It's like- the line, "Just because your colorblind doesn't mean you can see the colors ". I know I have anxiety, I know the fears I have are irrational but that doesn't stop anything, I'm still afraid and still just have the irrational fears.
I had an eating disorder when I was 12-13 years old and it got pretty serious so I had to go to the doctors and now I I really regret having the eating disorder

I love re-watching these bts videos, all the animators are pretty cool and it's nice hearing about what they're going through
I feel so sorry for Jaiden, this song meant so much to her and you ruined it with those allegations. Really Dave, everyone thought you where such a good person and you talked about actual problems. Jaiden has gone through enough and this just makes everything worse.

The witch hunt is referring to all the other shit being accused and thrown about, which only weakens the case of anything being true, given so many people are clearly lying to try and throw and Dave under as many buses as they can. In the captions, whenever Jaiden says “colors/colours” the captions say “colors” but whenever Dave says it the captions say “colours.”
Edit: They spell it differently in different countries. The American spelling is "color/colors," and the Australian/British/Canadian spelling is "colour/colours." The person who made the subtitles probably just had a sense of humor (or humour :).

i just recently discovered jaiden. despite her years of success. and i didnt know this part of her history. as someone who struggled with an ED myself, finding this video and knowing how she's doing now brought a few tears to my eyes. i understand the struggle. and i also know how good it feels to be out of such a tortuous cycle. Thanks to the both of you for making a video that normalizes talking about your problems no matter the weight to them. and to show that the healing process isn't always tough every day. i know its been years since this came out, but i think its good to know that there are people who are still finding it and being emotionally affected by it positively.
