  • This PC-21 flies on rails. Not adrenaline rushed but super controlled.

The PC21 is a cool looking plane, although I wish they had a bit more power. Nice flying man. BTW...the full scale PC21 is a trainer to get pilots ready to fly jets...hence the layout and look of it.

Thanks Adam! Yes I was surprised the first time I flew and a bit more speed would have been nice. I've heard of other users modifying it to do 5s to get more speed. But it is a very nice and comfortable plane to fly as is and looks really cool and odd!

I have one of these and I agree with you, it’s a really nice plane to fly. The only problem I have had is on landings where I have already broken a prop and damaged landing gear. I have used the Pilatus flaps when landing (I have a short grass field) and place battery forward as you recommend but still come in nose heavy. I noted that you said you “flare” when landing. Is this a particular technique you use? I am relatively new to RC so am still learning . Any tips you can offer would be much appreciated.

With all planes one should flare just before touchdown and especially tricycle geared planes as the nose gear is the most fragile one. With tail draggers on the other hand it works fine to land on the mains so less flare is usually needed.

@@SunriseRCAviator Many thanks. iIll look at some videos on flaring to see how it's done

@@rcnovice1066 Nothing to it really. Just push the elevator before touchdown to bring up the nose a bit.
