    I have to say what everyone else here has commented. You MUST watch Queen's full performance at Live Aid 1985. This was not the only incredible crowd participation. And, yep, considered one, if not THE, best live performance ever.

    • @mikephillips8810
      @mikephillips8810 3 года назад +6

      Actually could be claimed to be the best short live performance ever. But every full Queen performance with Freddie was better. When they had their full sound system, full lights, and could do full versions of the songs not truncated ones, did a 2 hour show, and when Freddie didn't have a sore throat! I saw Queen live with Freddie 4 times, every one of those and all the Queen live concerts I've seen on video were better than the Live Aid performance. What made the Live Aid performance great was what the band managed to do with just 20 minutes and a crowd that wasn't all Queen fans.

    Freddie as you right said, had a free spirit. He was unique, the band was unique. Just imagine the styles they have explored in music- you name it, they have done it all and not just explored they have done it with panache and top class quality. They defied category to the point that they were a category onto themselves They were the best band in every sense- not a cliche. Freddie was born to be an artist and the rest of the group too- Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon.... all masters in their own right. It was the merging of extraordinary talents with the added bonus of a free spirit like Freddie that made Queen such an enduring band even to this day.

    Thankyou darlings!! Love your Queen reaction as always. Hope to see more, I suggest Queen live performance, I suggest Save me live at Montreal or Stone Cold Crazy live at the Rainbow. Much bless and love to you both 💗

    Yeah it wasn't just that crowd, it was the whole world watching the Live Aid concert. It was simultaneously broadcast all around the world, with the different bands playing in different cities. It was a super big deal. It was all anyone talked about for weeks both before and after. It was hugely successful. You could argue in large part there is no starvation in the world today, where charities have access to the public.

    This is probably my favorite song from their set at Live Aid, though I will say on another day it might be BohRhapsody or We Are the Champions, or.... you get my drift. 😁

    Great reaction. Just make most of feel really old that you didn’t know what Live Aid was. You need to watch the full performance. Trust all of us. You’ll be blown away.

    The 28 minute set at Live Aid was the greatest rock performance of all time

    Yep, I agree with everyone else. Queen's Live Aid 20 min set is a must see event. Even if you don't react to it, you have to watch the whole thing in it's entirety so you can really experience the magic that is Queen. Everyone should see that set at least once in their life. It's just that good! I watched it from home in the U.S. as it was broadcast live to 1.9 Billion. It was a historic event and Queen's performance is still today considered the best live rock performance EVER.
