2nd time getting a power shot camera 📷 as a gift. My first small canon was amazing quality. Made in Japan bought in Canada. Now I have this model 360 but made in China. We’ll see how it goes. I like the. Vid n pic combo n wifi feature. Look forward to using it at the next Xmas party.

Great review. You can tell that you put time into editing, so it flowed really well. I'm checking this model out as a replacement for my old SD1000. It's still kicks, but it's showing its age. The 360's a little above the price range of the basic 100-series Canons, but 1080 video is really the only way to go moving forward for me. And the optical zoom is impressive in your video (I don't know why cameras even have digital zoom any more).

I think the optical zoom is certainly an underappreciated feature.

I miss the "Colour Accent" and "Colour Swap" the old Canons had (SD750)
I have an iMac and tried to do a test video and it says it can't read the video (on iMovie) I just shot with my Canon (I have the 350HS). It says it can't read a mp4 format. How do I fix that?

Hi Kevin, I own the 310 from few years ago. The picture quality is great. But the only thing I found it that it has a problem with when someone is moving and it has problem capturing the picture in motion. Does the 360 has a better motion still capture feature ? If not, what other camera model would you recommend with feature and size of the camera ?

I recently got this camera as a college graduation present, and have been playing around with it a bit. When on the Wi-Fi mode, you can take photos through the camera from your phone. However, I can't figure out how to take videos the same way, if that is even an option. Is there a setting where it is possible to take videos through the connected device?

How can I get the macro screen to toggle between the close up mode (the flower) and the A (automatic) mode. Pressing the left side of the button does not result in a change.

Sooo i have this camera and i shot a test video to see how it works and it looked good on the camera but when i uploaded to imovie to practice editing, the quality was blurry and not as clear as i had expected it to be. is there something i'm doing wrong?

Yes, you're going to find good low light performance with this camera.

justlikemike_ NONE!! The canon power shot g7x is the best. It comes at a whopping $700 but I hope you choose hat one. :)
YES. They are both good. The SX610 is a few bucks more (About 40 or so. BUT the SX610 has a longer zoom and BIGGER battery so It can go longer per charge. However it is a bit thicker in size.

I'm not aware of any point and shoot cameras that support an auxiliary microphone. You'll have to get a DSLR or camcorder.
