What the HECK??? I JUST wrote a comment on one of your earlier videos, saying that I was looking for instruction on this camera... You GOT me! I've subscribed. I appreciate the clarity of your explanations. Thanks.
I've had about five Canon 310 Elph 310 cameras. The usual happened to the first three. Dust on the sensor, or lens opening failures..the lens cover failing, etc. Somehow I still managed to have two very minty copies that I won't put in my pockets, but keep them covered with something to keep the dust off the zoom lens. I heard that the 360 today had a touch screen, and maybe even my 310. That blew my mind, as I kinda know what Im doing with cameras, have a hefty Fuji X system, etc. (although I have chosen to not use the touch screen on my X-H1) A tip I recommend experimenting with is putting the white balance setting to cloudy when shooting indoors. All indoors are different, but I have achieved a real...well, let's call it a Nacho Libre film look. Your mileage may vary. But when it works, its like shooting VPS negative film for weddings. Everything looks kinda classic. Works better with an interior with good contrast.
Ive had this camera for over a year and a half but could never even FIND the ISO and other settings- thanks for that!. A Powershot SD300 was my first good digital camera and I loved it and got great results but this 360HS I found intimidating. Im going to have my kid watch this video before they take this camera on a school trip to New York because their phone memory is almost full.
Just bought this camera the other day and happy to find a video that helps, thank you. It’s my first camera of this genre and so much to learn vs pointing a cell phone.
My parents got me this camera as birthday gift and I've never been so happy! But I clearly wasn't as used to the GUI of this camera so I didn't use it as much as I wanted to.But thanks to this video I'm picking this camera up after 2 months😍
Great information, I have the older Canon ELPH 330 which I use when I don't want to carry my DSLR. It take good pictures and it slides into my pocket easily.
Not many. Just be careful with the lens. Don't touch the glass on the front of it. And make sure you remove the battery when not in use because it can become corroded if you leave the battery in
Thank you for this very informative video! I just bought the ELPH 360 HS camera, I haven't even had a chance to use it yet. In the custom color settings, should I change the settings for contrast, Sharpness, and saturation?
That's a great question. I think it all depends on the look you're going for and whether or not you plan on editing your photos. But to be completely honest with you I haven't used this camera in a while so I can't really give you much info. If I were you though I'd run a few tests. Take some test photos and videos to see what you like the best. Hope this helps!
Thank you for this awesome video. Very informative and easy to follow. I am tech challenged and need some help. I am unable to delete unwanted photos. When I attempt to delete I get a busy sign. Please advise.
Thank you so much! Have you tried different sd cards? Or putting the sd card into your computer and deleting them that way. If those don't work you could also format the sd card on your camera which would delete all the photos and videos on that sd card.
@@JakeBorowski15 thank you! Just one more question. I have this camera that we’re talking about right now. Is there a function where the camera would focus on the whole picture instead of the center? Even though I have the function on evaluate, I feel like my camera is still focusing on the center.
@@kingdollarb you can set the camera to face tracking, one point large, and one point small. Within the face tracking function though it should focus how you want it to.
@@JakeBorowski15 thank you! I really appreciate it! Usually I just use the camera for taking pictures of of objects. Would the face tracking function help get a good focus on the whole picture? Just as of late I’ve noticed it’s just been the center! Which I don’t want! I want to be able to focus the whole picture with the object…
@@kingdollarb that's actually really tough to do with this camera because you don't have many manual functions. If you are taking photos of objects I'd honestly recommend still using the single point autofocus. It only shows up in the middle, but that doesn't mean that the camera will only have a shallow focus. The amount of focus you have in an image depends on the aperture number and you can't adjust that in this camera. Also, if you're using the single point af you focus on your subject by lining up the subject inside the box on the screen. Hope this all helps!
You're welcome! I'm not sure if there are any videos about blurring the background on the Canon PowerShot sd780. I don't have one if that's what you're asking and it's honestly tough to blur the background on point and shoot cameras, but I'd say the best way to try is to zoom in all the way on the optical zoom and move your subject further away from the background.
I believer that's either your SD card space for your video recording length or amount of photos your can store. You can only change that by swapping out the size of the SD card
If you're asking me if it's worth it to buy this to replace your phone then I would say probably not. Phone cameras nowadays, I would say, are practically the same as point and shoot cameras. There are some people out there that will disagree with me on this, but the tech in phone cameras is just insane. The only notable difference is the sensor size, but even that isn't a huge difference. So to answer your question, it might take very slightly better quality photos, but it's not so much better to where you should upgrade to it from your phone.
Love the video! Do you know if there’s any way to invert the pics in camera? I can’t find a setting for it anywhere lol :( im using Thai camera mainly for portraits so that’s why I’m asking 😇
thank you for your information. I am taking photos weekly for work. I was able to zoom on the small writings from afar and all was good but I don't know why when zooming function level passes the half all photos comes out why? any ideas?
I'm not sure I understand your question. But I think I might know what you're talking about. If you're talking about the quality of the photos decreasing when using digital zoom then that's because the digital zoom isn't something optical. It's basically cropping in on the photo, therefore using less of the sensor and causing a blurrier more pixelated photo.
Hi! Why canon digital has no flash on when taking a video? Taking a video at night with flash on is very important. Same on the cellphone when you take a video you have an option to take a video Flash or off flash. In digital why almost no flash? Hope you unrderstand now
For a point and shoot camera this is pretty good for video quality. You need to make sure your settings are the highest quality. Set the camera to 1080p and make sure you keep the ISO low. Those are the two biggest settings that will effect your video
I used the Canon 6D Mark II. Love that camera. It's a bit expensive, but I think it's definitely worth it. If you wanna check it out there's a link in my description.
you forgot to mention tips on using the other modes, the hybrid feature and also the creative feature, not to mention the possibility of doing light trails with this camera by adjusting the iso, exposure and the light meter

I haven't used this camera in a while but if you go into the settings it should give you an option to set the flash setting to on. You'd have to check each setting location because again I haven't used this camera in a while. But when I get a chance maybe I can give you a better more concise answer. Sorry
@@JakeBorowski15 no you’re totally fine, thank you sm! I haven’t changed any of the settings, so maybe if I go from auto to program like you do in the video, then the option will come up? but if you get a chance to check, please lmk thank you!

hey there! what settings are used to get that vintage looking effect on pictures?

If I remember correctly NTSC is standard for North America, and PAL is standard for other parts of the world
