Hey, Thank you for your videos. They are helping me a lot. I bough also the Professional Development and great and amazing information I did not have any idea. Planning to buy the Master Planner later on
This is very cool, and looks like it could be interesting. My issue is we have a six day rotating cycle, and I don't teach the same class each time every day. Would there be a way you could suggest to get around this? I just can't think of how I could set this up to work (our timetable makes keeping fully organised a pain to be honest!)
Hey Nick, having a rotating cycle is actually really easy to implement with this setup. Just go into the "Day of Week" property and change "Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc." to "Day 1, Day 2, ... , Day 6" and then add all of your classes accordingly.
Please, make the tutorial for database in your ultimate tecaher dashboard, so I can understand with notion formula etc and I request again about how can make the link to page in yout template with database
Hi Aprielayu, what specifically would you like to see? How databases can be linked together through relations? For example how lessons can be filtered by classes? Always happy to help!
@@notion4teachers Can you help explain what is in the teacher database in your ultimate teacher template, because I am still confused about the content in the database that is related to the other table views that exist for the teacher dashboard.
@@notion4teachers and give us some other interesting inspiration regarding notions for teachers, because it is very useful, especially if the template can be tutorialized on RUclips
@@aprielayu3369 Okay! I will keep that in mind for future videos :). Thank you for the suggestions~ Always really helpful hearing what other teachers would like to see
Hi! I want to start to use notion and I managed to make this work, but I have a question… I have the same class on different days and at different hours, how do I do that? For example: I teach 2nd year students on Monday from 11am to 12pm and on Thursday from 8am to 9am. Doing it your way I have to create multiple times the same class, otherwise it doesn’t work :(
Hey I've actually had a lot of people ask me the same question and I really should have addressed this in the video! There are a few things you can do: 1. Duplicate the class twice and change the times. Then when you add students and/or lessons to a class, make sure to "tag" both classes. If you aren't constantly updating the information in the class pages then this works out fine. If you are constantly changing the information in the class pages and plan to share the pages with your students, then you can duplicate the class page as before, but add a "Synced Block" inside the page and put all of your resources in there. Then add the synced block to each class page. Whenever you change something in one block, then it will affect all of the synced blocks in all the classes. 2. Keep the same class and just add multiple days, and change the "date" property to show say something like "11-12 Mon, 8-9 Thurs". It will be more ugly but you will only have one version of the class page. The thing with Notion anyway is having it work for YOU. You will always be customizing everything to suite your particular situation. I hope this helps!
