Milo, I love the work you've done here! I've purchased the EMStudio and the Course Creator. Question, is there a way to import student info via a csv file into one of the databases? Also, I have a pretty complicated teaching job (high school band) and wondered if you had a process by which you planned your builds? I have so many moving parts I'm not quite sure how to connect them. Thanks for any insight you might have!

Sorry for the late reply! Notion does allow you to import CSV files. You could save your attendance file as a CSV and import it into Notion, using the Student database as the target database. I have never done that before though but in theory it could 100% work lol. Maybe would be a good video idea later!

Milo, what are the options for running classes with students also having their own Notion accounts? Are the students required to pay for their accounts? I was thinking to create activities for my students that would be completed in Notion, however it seems I would have to create Student Profiles for every student and then share each activity one by one with each student- not seeing how an activity with an entire class at once. Really trying to see if its possible to move my entire curriculum into Notion but not sure if its is possible as per sharing options and cost for each student to have their own account. Any insights would be appreciated.

I actually haven't experimented too much with students having their own Notion accounts yet. It's something I'm planning on trial-testing with my students this year. I have just been sharing pages with students using their email or just by allowing anyone to view the page by changing the permission settings.
For the most part, however, you can invite students to pages as a guest just by adding their email through permissions. I think it's entirely possible to do what you want to do all with free accounts.
Create a page for each student, invite them individually to each page, have an assignment database linked to their page, and share activities that way. Similar to them having submit Google Doc assignments in a shared folder. There are a bunch of ways you could go about it but I don't believe you need your students to have full paid accounts.
Honestly, that's the ultimate goal I wanna figure out-have an entire LMS through Notion that involves many students accessing Notion regularly. It's something I'm working on :)

Does your scheduling allow for scheduling the works on a cycle instead of day of the week? My school uses a 6 day cycle.

Yes absolutely. You can just edit the "Day of Week" property from "Mon, Tues, Wed, etc" to "Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, etc." And it will work the exact same way.

Just don’t store student info in Notion without asking consent from the users! This is even more important if you are from EU or the student is from EU and GDPR is not a joke!

Yes that's a very good point! Student privacy is incredibly important and some countries have very strict rules around that. Thanks for pointing that out!
