The fact that 4:57 wasn't reviewed for foul play and 20:00 was, is enough to prove France did deserve to win the game. Actually, Davies' knock-on was far more deliberate that Vakatawa's, since he wasn't in a proper tackling position (upright and one arm extended) and Vakatawa committed to stopping the try by putting in a big hit. If you watch how much of a petulant little boy Biggar is compared to the amount of grace Guirado has under the same circumstances, it makes it hard to support Wales (I'm neutral btw). Hate seeing the egos and lack of respect for the referee creeping into the modern game. Rugby is supposed to be above all that and it's turning into football.
The speed of France wow! The tackles were fantastic . Both sides. Wales tackling is amazing of course. Just a great match physically. France opened my eyes indeed. Respect to these fellas. But I love Wales. Always . CYMRU! ♥♥♥
Thank you so much Ozzeh! I live in Australia and there is no way for me to watch the games because of the time difference. This made my morning. Cheers!
France beat Wales in one of the longest and probably most memorable Six Nations games in a long time and all some people can do is talk about England. Sad really how obsessed they are.
@@manualteirac9817 if you are referring to Wales when you say Anglo-Saxon team you are totally wrong Wales are not Anglo-Saxon they are the original Britons nothing to do with Anglo-Saxon England
@@1972piledriver I know what is Wales Irland , Scotland, Bretagne Galicia.. etc. I love Celtic Culture, anyway Anglo-saxon referrer help a lot "moderne" anglo-saxon team and from long time ago.
The French were not good during the game it is a fact, but they have not cheated, be lucid and look at things with honesty. The Vakatawa yellow card at 18 minutes is debatable and the penalty try not granted at the end is a proof of the referee's impartiality.
In real-time terms (if you don't stop the match clock for injuries, substitutions or TMO referrals), the first half lasted 46m 13s. The second lasted 75m 53s
At 39:06, I completely agree with the point being made. In the 90s, there is no way you could get away with an introduction into the scrum at _that_ much of an angle. All teams did it a little bit, but nowhere near that much. Now? It's tolerated, yet the law on the books of a "neutral" introduction remains. They should either change the law, or enforce it. This is silly.
A normal referee (so not a WASP roastbeef-english) give a penalty try in favor of France dice the 81-82th minutes seeing the scrums dominated by France and breaked out of rules by Wales...
there is no normal ref in rugby. The sport belongs to the anglos. You can talk as much as you want, this is the reality and you won't change it. Rugby is the most corrupt game in the world, it's all about doping and ref mistakes.Let's watch another sport. This is is doomed.
kind of ironic that you criticize anglo barnes given that you have an good record of winning under him especially at 2007 world cup, also quite funny that a man named joubert fucked you over in a final .
France probably did just about deserve to win this. But my god, Wayne Barnes really did lose control of the game here and showed how overrated he is as a referee
The Laws of the game in 2017 require that rucks and mauls, or at least the current version of them require players be bound up to the armpit, that a hand on the ruck or maul is NOT being bound....and yet throughout the top rugby matches binding to this standard is rare and never whistled. Can anyone explain, please?
There is a lot of ill feeling over this match, which is a shame because Wales and France have fine traditions, respecting each other. The French say they should have won earlier with a penalty try, the Welsh say the ref let the match go on too long etc. I'm Welsh, and i'm biased, but i also say well done France..
One Welsh, one English commentator. Welsh are not Anglos. Anglos are Germanic, Welsh are Celtic Britons, like the Cornish and Bretons, whose languages are similar, victims of English ethnic cleaning. The English dislike the French more than they do the Welsh, though they have treated the Welsh appallingly over many cxenturies..The Welsh generally prefer France to beat England.
So this is the game Wales staff dared to accuse Atonio of cheating (controversial tactic sub) when Wayne Barnes allowed Wales to survive a penalty try during more than 25mn on their tryline 🤣... sent-off Vakatawa for a defensive knock-on .... and said nothing when a Wales defender did exactly the same? Oh well, as usual.
Anyone remember when the scrum was a way to restart play after a minor infraction...a bit like a jump ball in basketball. Is this specialization of "tight five" create problems and this fiasco? I think so. There's all this specialization and yet the ball isn't put in straight any hookers don't hook....Who are the "Guvnors" of the Laws.....just foolishness.
Surely there must come a time for the ref to blow his fucking whistle for the end, otherwise they could play all night. There should be a five minute limit, the defending team should also be rewarded for their efforts.
Overlocked I am not saying either team did not play well, I think it's a ridiculous ending to a game for any side. If I was Welsh I would be angry that my team defended their line for 20 minutes for no reward. It's like the ref is saying to France, carry on boys, until you win.
TheGringo200 Fair point, just a theory, what if the whole Welsh front row and reserves feind injury, the ref would have to call uncontested scrum, there would be less chance of Wales giving a pen away and easier to ruck or maul the ball back, what do you think?
There's a difference between legit defence and repetitive fouls. It went way overtime because the Welsh kept giving up penalties with foul play. You can't reward that.

Vakatawa quite clearly reached further out to get his fingers on the ball
I could not agree more. Hypocrisy and double-standards in pure light.

there was a production manager shitting himself somewhere that it wouldn't go to 5 digits
the penalty at 30:45 was not a penalty there was no ruck formed because France did not have anyone contesting it

well come on, they're french >.>

It's up now, but got took down, it may be taken down again.
The england game cannot be posted it keeps getting taken down.
2:16:25 "And the try by Wayne Barnes is awarded." Extraordinary.
Is Wayne Barnes refereeing France vs Wales Six Nations this Year?
Indeed he did. Tbh he had another shocker 😂
could you try putting the irland game up under a different title maybe ?
why do they keep getting removed is it because the english don't want anyone to see them getting beaten by real men ;-0
hahaa! yea prolly. ;)

people remember this match for the 100 minutes thing i remember it for how biased the refs were
why did it go 20 100 min
Alguien me puede explicar que sucede del minuto 81 al 88 por favor?
5 seconds off the 5 digits on the scoreboard
Haha that was a cliffhanger. The scrum needs to be reinvented, such a downer on the game.
et l'essai de pénalité , Mr l'Arbitre .......!

If this had happened when France faced England the ref would have stopped it for sure so that England won
easy now. You're Celtic, not Palestinian
Wayne Barnes can't officiate a game which includes England because refs are't allowed to judge matches played by their own country.
Ridiculous, though perhaps, if it's argued the referee was biased, he was levelling things up after favouring Wales for the entire game.

I think it would be better if they returned to the classic scrums of decades passed.
Slimani is a beast
Seul M. Owens aurait pu faire aussi bien...
penalty try since the 84th minutes..
Another inexcusable and shockingly abysmal display from Wales.
Yep. Only positive was Halfpenny's goalkicking. Don't forget though, Howley was in charge here with WG on another lions sabbatical 👍
