@@RazorMouth as a 3 test series, yes. And glorious tenacity for all the neutrals golore. But in terms of such a complete standalone performance for 80mins where we never looked anywhere near being on the ropes Marseille tops the cake. 5:09 That delayed disguised short pass to Byrne was brilliant. At the time i thought it was just awful defending because i didnt actually see the pass live, i think everyones eyes (including mine) had moved away from Byrne thinking he had overrun and would not receive the ball, also Byrnes inward running angle opened a massive gap outside him where Lowe and Henshaw had looped around and looked like the main attacking threat, that half second pass delay and the widening gap outside forced Danty to take a half step out, Crowleys quick look back to James Lowe, it looked like Byrne had already run ahead of Crowley and the defenders were just shifting their focus across to the second line when the almost sleight-of-hand pass was suddenly in Byrnes hands and he has was galloping free. Worth re-watching the subtle elements of that pass again. That try involved so much more than what i saw live. Kind of sums up Irelands attack, never quite sure where the ball is going, options all over the place and defenders end up slightly out of position, attackers tend to get hit with soft shoulders allowing them to get over the gain line nearly every time.
When France beget frustrated on they're own soil they start to lose all discipline and resort to playing dirty. Really well deserved red card. Weldone Ireland, fine start to the tournament!
What the hell are you talking about? The game was pretty clean. None of them were on purpose. The big fouls came from one player only. Willemse was out for a long time, hadn't played with the team for a long time and made mistakes. He didn't do it on purpose. Stop making up stories to fuel some nationalistic propaganda. The French weren't frustrated but disorganised.
@@puccaland Look closely, he led with his shoulder on both occasions. He knew exactly what he was doing and that's pretty dirty. He could have snapped a neck with those tackles. If I were an official I'd ban him from playing rugby for life, the big dope!

French TV director, making sure he only showed 1 replay angle for France's 2nd try ! Never a try, in my opinion, and straight after the try was given by the TMO we got a much closer angle, which clearly showed the ball wasn't grounded over or on the line before he lost possession, he even trys to grab the ball afterwards, why do that if you've already scored the try !
@jhondgolder1415 If no try was given and he lost possession, then it would have been a knock on , so 2nd attempt to ground the ball would not have counted
Well done to the men in green, though it really saddens me to see that poor level to the team I normally support... without Dupont, I feel like France is going back to it's dark age of French rugby, when they used to be beaten by everyone. I unfortunately expect more defeat to come for France, and against average teams, like England for example. The Scots could easily beat us, since they're in much better shape than England. The only teams we could still defeat at the moment are the Welsh and Italians. Goodbye, my strong French team 😢
@@ytevysbhtb No need to compare England and Scotland to conclude that Scotland can beat us, that's my point. They did beat us anyway lastly, they're our pet peeve.
@@ogamiitto8627 I did that because I consider Scotland as a good team now. Not as good as Ireland, but still good enough to be considered with caution before playing them. But even England who's an average team who improved since last time we beat them at Twickenham, can now defeat us, that's my point. I don't mean to disrespect any team
I've watched this 20+ times now and I've only just noticed now that Danty should have been red carded too. I knew his hit on Crowley was big but it's head on dead. 16:15. I'm shocked the french TV didn't pick up on it🤥🤥🤥

Yes, it was a convincing win. However, France were down a man for 2/3 of the game and they didn't have their champion, Du Pont, so that should temper overconfidence in the Irish camp. The game against England in Twickenham is still ahead and it should be remembered that they gave the world champions, South Africa, a strong challenge in the semi final of the World Cup. It's very premature to be thinking about an Irish Grand Slam at this point.

And still ref try to help France. The firs yellow was already red, direct contact with the head of porter. The second a shoulder to the neck and it should be red again.
And still there are always people with a childish reading of things. All the decisions are explained live and the first was yellow with a bunker and remained yellow, the second was the same and was changed into a red immediately. The referee doesn't see all the actions live and the video isn't always clear and there is no time to review everything live that's why they created the current system.
@@puccaland i agree, but direct contact with the head is a red card stop. If u see live or in tmo is red card, not bunker. U give Yellow if the head contact was a mistake but a tackle and a ruck cleaning if u hit the head means that u aimed it.
@@ryuk9415 No it's not. Read world rugby's rules again. Hitting the head is yellow or red depending on the circumstances. In the first Willemse got yellow because it was considered miscalculation. We watch comfortably sitting in our sofa with TMO and all but on the pitch everything is going super fast. There is no sign that he aimed at the head. The second he clearly made a rookie mistake by not hitting low enough. But it was clearly not on purpose. He already got a yellow so it was red anyway but it was upgraded to direct red precisely because it was a basic mistake, the players have to hit low to tackle, he didn't and it was dangerous. Again, live, things are too fast to analyse everything perfectly all the time. At least the situation was taken cared of by TMO and Willemse will be asked to get his act together. With a direct red the tournament is probably over for him. So much we can say about Porter who has a long track record of making dangerous fouls and his dangerous action on Danty's throat. They didn't even bother watching it. All to say that claiming the referee was trying to help France is spurious and that the players in a very intensive physical match played quite clean and showed great fair play. Both sides. I don't see where you have seen frustrated French players. They were out of their depth, but neither frustrated nor angry at the Irish. Willemse got to the bin because technically he was amateurish leading to dangerous actions, not because he tried to play dirty.
Me apasiona el Rugby y siento debilidad por Francia, pero no se puede jugar tan agresivo sin que pagues las consecuencias. Espero que la selección aprenda de esta lección y vuelva el romanticismo a su juego

Ireland best team in the world
Great to see the quarterfinals start the year good.
Kudos to Ireland, a comprehensive victory on a not-so-disappointing French side, since everybody knew that something was broken since "that" quarter-final.
We'll have one or two difficult years and shall rebuild for the next RWC (without illusions since Rugby World will always find a way to prevent the French from winning it, now we know), hopefully replacing half of the team quickly and building upon that.

@@karlosdeevs nope. Definitely not.
Well played, shame about the World Cup!

Decision from the bunker! Space capsule more like.
Well done ☘
Should have been a red the first time
French TV director, making sure he only showed 1 replay angle for France's 2nd try ! Never a try, in my opinion, and straight after the try was given by the TMO we got a much closer angle, which clearly showed the ball wasn't grounded over or on the line before he lost possession, he even trys to grab the ball afterwards, why do that if you've already scored the try !
To ground again and hope the ref & TV see it for certain!
Scotland defeated France several times under Galtier's era, when we were supposedly superior...
@@ogamiitto8627 did I say otherwise ? No
@@ytevysbhtb No need to compare England and Scotland to conclude that Scotland can beat us, that's my point.
16:15. I'm shocked the french TV didn't pick up on it🤥🤥🤥
The French were totally out of their depth most of the game. Not enough against an Irish team totally in synch and in control. Victory totally deserved for Ireland. The French will get their act together when all the key players will be back.

I'll never forgive the French after what Thierry Henry did. I don't even care that this is a rugby game.
The Irish have destroyed Irish soccer not the French. You should look to the FAI incompetence not FIFA corruption.
The mismanagement and corruption within the organisation by its governing body is criminal.
Look at grassroots of soccer rugby and GAA and you'll see the problems clearly. Theivery
