Yes especially with the garcinia fruits, they are very hard to get where i live, but they are so good not even the best chef on this planet could create a meal as good as some garcinia fruit especially Garcinia humilis and Garcinia livingstonei, the heavens of taste.

😳Omg haven’t seen one of those in ages. In Jamaica 🇯🇲we call them custard apple. They are super sweet.
You never had those, they’re rare Hybrids. You had the normal custard apple and sweetsop then

Monthong is like the tommy atkins of durian. But hey its still a durian right and you got to try it which is awesome. Its easy to become a fruit snob with channels like yours Pete. Which is ultimately a good thing right, need more tropical fruit snobs out there to spread the good seed. Would love to visit Costa Rica and Paul Zink someday.

Pretty awesome! I forget who it was a few years back you did a tour of their garden in CR and they had a lot of these medicinal culinary herbs. It was around the time Paul Zink was first displayed I think but someone else. I remember they had tarps shading areas to grow stuff. I'd be curious to see more of that, or anyone that's got a lot of daily eating greens and stuff in CR - working on being there myself.... the borders are closed right now but i'm hoping in a few months.

Durians never ever can be eaten right off the tree like that. It looks like a Thai ‘monthong’ from the color and size of the aril, and shape of the fruit.

Hello everyone, i m interested to learn more about how rootstock affect the quality of a name mango. Someone here does have any information or studies about it? Would like to get the best possible quality on my mangos and so need to select rootstock that faver aroma and texture of the fruit.
For best taste, u should wait durian to fall to the ground, that way the fruit will be totally ripe, depends on the variety the taste might be varied milky, creamy, sweet etc

Durian was not ripe. Usually they fall or use smoke to make them drop. I like firm but wet is also good. So many different ones in Malaysia.
