I appreciate the fact that despite all of the time and hard work you are putting in to get this operation going, and it is more than most people could do, you are still taking the time to provide for the tortoises.
Stopped by today and picked up a couple avocado, mango, cherries, and citrus. The place looks amazing!! So thankful you guys opened to the public. Thank you! 🥑🥭🍒🍊🍋
I brought my wife to the nursery yesterday to pick out some new plants for Mothers Day. You have a beautiful operation there Pete! The landscaping you’ve done in the oak understory is a real inspiration for us since we have a large area on our property like that. I know those tortoises can be a headache during development, but we saw little buddy cruising along and munching down as we were walking through. Seeing them coexisting within the space adds to the magic of what you’ve created and showcases how we all can live in harmony with these native creatures! One thing that I think would be awesome is if you were able to showcase some of the native aquatic plants! Also, we are a local registered Kunekune breeder here in Brooksville and I’d be willing to barter a breeding pair or some boars in exchange for some plants 😉
So great that you're not just developing a nursery but planting up the environment & working in a way that helps people see how & what to grow in different places.
Maybe, in that Pole Barn you could have a Food Court, outdoor seating too of course, where customers could finally TRY some of that Okinawa Spinach, Longevity Spinach (and the others) in a salad... (you could even perfect salad dressings from various herbs you could grow and sell)... AND some fresh squeezed Sugar Cane drinks... some fresh frozen Smoothies from Banana, Mango and Other from your Food Forest to TASTE TEST what they're going to BUY AND GROW. That's a GREAT idea, keeping a Tortoise! (I mean I think that's what you said!)
So happy to see you again Pete. Keep up the good fight, the place looks amazing. It's come so far!!!! God is with you making you stronger every step of your way for the Blessing to come. You got this you're going to do great!!
I’m happy that despite the hassle Pasco County has given you, you have been able to navigate through it. I can’t wait to go check out your nursery once it opens.
It was a pleasure visiting the new nursery and chatting with you and your crew this last Saturday. Such a bummer to hear that the county has given you such a hard time, but I applaud your perseverance getting to this point.
I can’t wait for the grand opening! This nursery will be a huge success my friend 🙏 It was my pleasure helping you remodel the office. See you soon 👊 Hugh
It was a pleasure meeting you today Pete! What a beautiful nursery. I loved the Loquat trees!❤ Looking forward to getting more plants, trees and soil from you!
Thanks for the update. The new property is really shaping up. It's such a big project. Too bad Pasco County has been such a pain.I hope Nick's health is better.
Fantastic update, the place is looking awesome! Sorry about all the county hassles, greed and abuse of power seems to be where it’s at these days. Keep rockin’ it!
Hey Pete, was wondering if they were holding you up with the permitting process. Glad you're moving forward. I hope your plants made it through the almost-freezes of February. It was 34 degrees in the morning on Wed, Th, the 21st and 22nd here in Hudson. Your shoppers can't wait to come and buy for Spring planting!
Finally visited and holy cow it was like walking into my dreams. What a great operation and how amazing to see how much got done since this was posted! Can’t wait to keep seeing how things grow! The staff was amazing too!
I heard about your fruit trees from another Florida gardener’s channel, and just got my first delivery.Im so happy with the plants and I think you gave me a baby banana tree 👍or it was a mistake🥴🤷♀️I’m so so sorry that you had trouble with the last county ,it’s their loss.
Happy Easter and Good luck! Thanks for the videos. I’ve been trying to get my front and back yard finished for 7 years. I’m too old and tired to finish and have to cut back on videos. I’m the one who sent you maple seeds. Not sure if you were able to grow them. You are great at what all you guys do!
Oh man, so glad this is moving forward... I had just emailed in about this around a week ago to Mel and the general inbox. Was wondering if you were still fighting the county battle. Congratulations on getting closer to the open
Pigeon peas are great if you establish them early in the spring. They need water until they are established. Better than the other nitrogen fixers you mentioned.
Amen to those complaints about Pasco County. They are ruining this beautiful county, even tearing up rural East Pasco for more of the same. It is a shame. I'm glad your nursery is working out though. I'll be stopping by soon!
Did you ever consider DeSoto County, Arcadia area? If you’re having theft issues because of your location. That area is not safe as it once was. Arcadia is more rural with less crime. We are 45 mins from serving Sarasota AND Cape Coral/Naples. Peace River runs through DeSoto County into the Charlotte Harbor. I’d highly suggest visiting and considering. Regardless of what level of completion you are at. The politics in those cities that you’re in/near…. Makes it even more difficult to get anything accomplished. Just a 5th generation Arcadian talkin. 🤷🏼♂️ 😁
We live in Florida, where can we find you if we wanted to check out your nursery. Would love to come support. Also hoping to check out Jim before he leaves!!! I'm not on social, although I'm sure that would be a good place to find him maybe. You guys are doing amazing!!! Love to see all the growth!!
I've been in Pasco for more than 30 years. They used to support rural and ag. Now, the new pollies are all about greed. People, please, please, do homework on ALLL before you x in.

@@ceiliThey just wanted him to clear the property for Walgreens for a very low cost before they drive him out of business. That’s the government everyone wants and why no one remembers the former one.
It’s not Pasco. It’s all Florida and the most recent quality of the transplants is low by design. Pasco has always been a problem. I think some real improvements have been made over the last 20 years.
Greetings Dear Pete Kanaris I really like your show, especially Stephen Brooks's Work! I would like to request a contact information for Mr. Stephen Brooks, an email address to contact him. Your natural works are inspiring. May God bless you with the food forests and permaculture and your teachings and seminars.✌
Beautiful space! Much nicer than condos!
So great that you're not just developing a nursery but planting up the environment & working in a way that helps people see how & what to grow in different places.

Hey Pete
Glad you got the permit issues resolved. Can't believe they dragged it out for so long.
Congratulations.
Thanks!! It's been a battle!

So happy to see how epic the new place is coming along! Can’t wait to come by and get some plants!
Thanks!
Beautiful amazing progress from the last time I watched. Hard, hard work paying off.
Thank you! So much work indeed but we are getting close!
I think there’s going to be a big change of who’s living up in Spring Hill. A lot of people are headed north out of Tampa and Pinellas.
Fantastic update, the place is looking awesome! Sorry about all the county hassles, greed and abuse of power seems to be where it’s at these days. Keep rockin’ it!

I can’t wait for workshops one day, I need all the help I can get for growing in this area 😂
Any chance you can do a detailed video on running a nursery business?
Finally visited and holy cow it was like walking into my dreams. What a great operation and how amazing to see how much got done since this was posted! Can’t wait to keep seeing how things grow! The staff was amazing too!
That's so great to hear!
Thanks for pressing through and putting something most valuable on the property. Need much more of this. Thanks again!❤

This is awesome.

Wonder if they would have made condos or a Walgreens protect the tortoises? Govt only pays lip service to going green
Good point!
If the property needs septic. I'd love to help! I'm a CEHP with the state n could probably help...
Everything is looking great!
I love your content, Pete. I watch it very Spring for inspiration as I'm getting my garden started.
Thanks! Glad to hear we inspire your garden plans!

I’m looking forward to coming by on my trip to my Sister’s house in Odessa
Long way to go maybe but already looking beautiful in more mature areas.
Thanks for staying and putting up with everything, you're like the Disney of earth interest, the best!
Thank you!
Pigeon peas are great if you establish them early in the spring. They need water until they are established. Better than the other nitrogen fixers you mentioned.
Your new green dream is materializing!
I would rather LOOK AT that nursery than that YELLOW IRON EVERYDAY!! Looking great Pete 😍
Hope for another update soon!

Epperson group can has the building permits in Pasco in 48 hours and destroy the landscape overnight. Thanks for the advice
Lemon grass may grow faster than bamboo. There may be other grasses that act as a wind break. The wind isn’t even that high. Only 20 to 30 mph.
Need to get creative …
But not a good wind break/ privacy barrier
Pete kovaleski what grass does he use to grow and mulch.
Are you adding mushroom varieties to your nursery, Pete?
Pete, I'm coming up from St Pete for the loquat festival. Is the new nursery open that day?
Great video
