Dang maaaan. I’ve watched many of your videos of Jim and this property and I’ll just say that it was/is some of the most interesting and enjoyable videos I’ve ever watched. Tough to hear that Jim is “permanently” leaving Florida. But….. it is being passed on to another amazing person and gardener. It is falling into good hands. Such a beautiful place. That’s a HUUUUUGE understatement. Lot of hardwork and dedication Jim put into this place. Another HUUUUGE understatement. Time gets us all. All we can do is try to touch hearts and minds and pass on whatever valuable knowledge and wisdom to whoever is willing to take it, and hopefully make a change and hope those pass it on and pay it forward. Amazing content Pete as usual. Much love and aloha🙏🏼❤️🤙🏼✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼

Started watching videos featuring Jim in 2019, I believe. They inspired me to start growing some of my own food. So far, I’ve only grown garlic and onions but this year, I added potatoes. We’ll see what next year brings. Jim is a very interesting character and is excellent subject matter for videos. Best of luck to him and to Tanner as they both embark upon new chapters in their lives.

I love my Japanese hand sickles. The triangle shaped one is my favorite tool for hand weeding as well as for planting. The scythe shaped ones are great for thinning, cutting banana and papaya leaves, and for harvesting certain crops like leafy greens.

Jim has been a huge inspiration for me. My garden is mostly compost fed now. I make a chunky compost out of my neighbors grass clippings, leaves and branches from bushes. Then I use it as a thick layer of compost/mulch. My plants are very resilient because of it.

Does Tanner do any seed soaking? I was listening to a John Kempf podcast which blew my mind. He said our composting is great, but 90% of the bacteria only comes when it's in contact with roots. He also was talking about this mineral soak before biocoat gold and the results they had seen with it. Just wondered if that was something you had ever talked with them about Pete.... thanks!
