Great video. I liked how you walked the entire exterior and then showed us the inside. Excellent job. I am not a Cubbies fan but watching this makes me want to go to Wrigley.

Thanks! I'm a Cubs fan but believe it or not, this was my first visit there. I was actually supposed to go there once when I was a young fan, but it didn't work out and then I moved away from Illinois to across the country. But I finally had the chance earlier this year, which was a dream come true. And yes even the exterior is unique in its own way since most ballparks nowadays are not in the middle of an urban neighborhood like this one.

A die hard Cubs fan from 🇨🇦 Nova Scotia, CANADA 🇨🇦 … and I was just there (finally) for the first time on 20 June 2024 for a game against the Mets. It was also my first time going to a live MLB game. Unfortunately, the Cubs lost 11-1, but it was still a wonderful experience. I sat in section 110, in the first row. Great seats, had a real good view of everything. I did the tour before the game (with tour guide Kenny) and I learned a lot about this historic ball park. Went into the Cubs store after the game and spent a few hundred dollars on some t-shirts and other memorabilia. Then my wife and I ate at Swift and Sons Tavern across the street. I’ll definitely come back. I think next time I might try one of the Wrigley Roof Top venues as I have since learned your food and booze etc is all included in the ticket pricing. I wish I could have stayed longer as on that Sunday they unveiled Ryne Sandberg’s statue on Gallagher Way, and he’s my all time favourite Cubs player. ~ Go Cubs Go! ~

Sounds like a fantastic and memorable experience, thanks for sharing! I'm also a big Cubs fan who finally made the trip there in April. I grew up in Illinois watching them but moved away in my teens, I had been to a lot of road games, even a playoff game in 2015, but never to Wrigley. It's not just an iconic ballpark, but also an iconic American landmark. Glad that you were able to get on the official tour --- I didn't get a chance to do that, but during the rubber game in this series (this video was taken during the 1st game), there was a lengthy rain delay that gave me the opportunity to explore the ballpark in more detail than I did here in this video. I hope you were able to check out the 2016 World Series trophy on display too. They're definitively having a bit of an underachieving year (what else is new!😅) but they have a great farm system and I think the future is bright - I hope you get many more opportunities to visit Wrigley and other MLB ballparks in the future!

It was against my Mets, what do you expect? We live to cause massive disappointment to Cubs fans. :)
-I'm an Edmontonian and my roomie also likes the Cubs

Thanks! I also lived in the Chicago area for awhile, but moved away, so I also mostly just watch the games on TV nowadays. But of course, being there in person is on a whole other level! And if you get to go back there someday, you'll get to see the 2016 World Series trophy too (which I didn't show in this video), and that was a real treat. And yes there have been a lot of changes along Clark and Addison, especially that new plaza, though the residential blocks around Waveland and Sheffield don't look like they've changed much over the years. Go Cubs!
