Its really noticeable how different Stephen is in his interaction with Claire in this interview compared to the interview from last year. You can definitely tell that he has become a huge fan of her now that he has seen the Crown.
VC, that's what I was alluding to, but if I remember right, the ravens aren't defending anything actively, but they are well-tended to as there's a long-held legend that when there are no more (fewer than six) ravens left there, it is the end of the monarchy. www.historic-uk.com/HistoryMagazine/DestinationsUK/Tower-Ravens/
Corgis are the real heroes of _everything_ not just The Crown. The ingredients to make a Corgi consist of two cups pure cuteness extract, 1 dog head, one dog torso, one dog tail, a lot of fluff, a half-gallon of awesomesauce, and four half-legs.
Alejo Eremita He hadn't seen the show so had no idea how incredible it is. I'm sure he felt like a moron when he finally watched it. Always watch the show before giving your opinion.
@@kiranolan7104 You are right, I agree his longer interviews when he saw the movie or tv show are just better and go deeper. But he said in interview with Bradley Cooper (here: ruclips.net/video/0yxj-4lXoPw/видео.html in 4:53) that he does not have chance to see everything and read everything when he has like about 200 guests per a year. For everyone saying the title is wrong I think it’s actually intended to be about corgis being heroes to the queen. Not the series the crown but the queen herself.
To everyone who watches this in 2023: I actually fell in love with her playing Little Dorrit - those episodes really made my Christmas season that year. With that coming up… who doesn’t like a little Dickens at year end?
Yes it was Claire Foy, she has been equally brilliant in many productions, including Wolf Hall, Little Dorrit, Hacks, Upstairs Downstairs, The Promise, Wreckers.... so pleased she is getting the recognition she richly deserves
I cringed at Colbert's uncomfortable transition at 1:57 after she mentions there was no water at the Emmy's that Colbert hosted, and he realizes she isn't making a joke...
What does he have to do with it? Maybe he didn't necessarily know how to react to it when she brought up that fact, but him hosting the Emmys has no bearing on the (un)comfortableness of the situation. Besides, I find nothing cringy about it; he sometimes doesn't say anything to let the guests and the silence bring the point home.
Claire Foy made a great Queen -- since they both beautiful and young -- which most of us don't remember. Queen Elizabeth was only 25 when she became Queen. And she was a looker. We tend to remember her as "our grandmother". She was that - but so much more.
at 2:16 you can tell that Claire Foy is not a drinker hahaha The Looks she got when she drinks, its absolutely damn that just so me HEHEHEHEHE Love from Philippines Claire Foy
Really, they have something with casting Doctor Who actors in every series adaptation about english queens! But that's good news! Colman is very talented, no doubt she'll make a nice queen!
searched for claire foy interviews after finishing watching season 2 only just - what a shame season 3 had to witness the transition from young & beautiful to old & ughhh :-(
Its really noticeable how different Stephen is in his interaction with Claire in this interview compared to the interview from last year. You can definitely tell that he has become a huge fan of her now that he has seen the Crown.
I just like her.... she's so pretty and just seems so down to earth.
She does seem very down to earth
What a beautiful, humble and intelligent person she is
Her real face and behavior is so animated, makes me appreciate her restrained performance on The Crown even more
Same with Olivia Coleman!
To be fair, apparently, the queen behind closed doors and performance is actually a hell of a lot more animated than now.
The show's called "The Crown", not "The Queen". Come on Colbert RUclips staff!
litally only clicked this to see if Colbert called it The Queen too
what what : Stephen Colbert called it The Crown and said "You are famous as the Queen" you tube stuffed Trumporrhoids.
M. Rodrigo Lemus I have no idea what you just said.
M. Rodrigo Lemus, In the description of the video, it says "The Queen". Try and be more perceptive.
I do hope you realise that both the title and the description name the show 'The Queen'.
Knowing everything about Claire Foy is clairefoyance.
patent that
I’m dead
Lmao
😂😂😂
We will never foyget her as Queen. LOL
I read a brilliant comment once that said that "The Corgis are the true last defense of the monarchy."
Along with the ravens at the Tower.
No thats the ravens of London tower.
*corgen
Original Welsh plural, I just think it's cuter!
The corgis are dead though
She really is freaking tremendous in that role.
She is so real and down to Earth. Great interview Colbert.
I have a Corgi and have had 2 others in the past. They do indeed love cheese. Just food in general really. 🤷🏻♀️
Also peanut butter!!

I seem to need more fluff and extra cuteness and awesome sauce
Such a wonderful show. She is perfect in this role.
An she's also pretty good in that Crown series.
If you want to see her doing really affecting, subtle, heartbreaking stuff, watch her in the BBC's Little Dorrit from 10 years ago. Really wonderful.
She's such a beautiful and adorable person
In the previous mentioned interview, with Claire and Matt Smith, Colbert didn't seem to give two craps about The Crown.
Alejo Eremita He hadn't seen the show so had no idea how incredible it is. I'm sure he felt like a moron when he finally watched it. Always watch the show before giving your opinion.

I adore her freckles and her smile and her hair and... Oh Gosh how can you not love her???!
I really enjoy watch Claire Foy in interviews shes funny and adorable.
I only clicked on this because "Corgis" are in the title. I am a simple man.
Joseph Finnigan me too!
Joseph Finnigan I, too, am that simple
I heard that Corgis are always unhappy as leed a dogs life.
Joseph Finnigan, laughing, me, too :) !!!
What a gorgeous woman!
The 'lady in red'
Was there another woman in this clip?
Finally this is the Colbert I recognise! This interview is much better than the one Colbert did with her and Matt when they were promoting season 1!
It's called "The Crown" not "The Queen".
She is so gorgeous and talented , I LOVE HER💖
She's like an interesting, charming and talented Kristen Stewart.
An also, is far away from the 'twilight' of her career.
Dribbles Barbax They are both Aries women.
i love her she's so fun and natural
She was brilliant in Wolf Hall
I adore her. I lost interest in The Crown without her performance.
How do you get the show's name wrong?
dumb or trolling?

@@emmawickman1196 If the title was referring to the Queen as a person, it should not be inside inverted commas.
@@heliotropezzz333 Yeah, it’s just such a big fail that I tried to make sense of it. But yeah in the description it’s wrong as well. So so strange.
She is stunning. The Crown was amazing.
I like her. Seems like a nice lady.
Im going to try giving cheese to a Corgi as well
It works, trust me!
2:15 - note reaction, as she gets a real kick from the alcohol sharpness !
Freckles on her arms! ❤
That's colberts love bites from before she came on.
I love how she just spills everything after a drink 😂
she reminds me of emily blunt
john buckley Both she and Emily Blunt play English queens on TV
Well i think she looks too sharp to be blunt.
Both Irish!
@@johnpatrick5307 umm, no, English
I really think they’re not similar at all
I only know her from Upstairs Downstairs, and she was phenomenal in it.
She’s amazing
Damn she’s gorgeous.. a class act combined with mad acting skills. .rare.
Claire Foy is both beautiful and amazing actress. We English produce the finest actors in the old.
I love her jumpsuit!!
Claire Foy ❤
I could listen to her speak for hours. :)
She's sooo Lovely 🌟 I adore Claire foy
Stephen has a thing for Englishwomen with RP accent
she's Mancunian, not east end...
WHO DOESN'T THOUGH?! ;)
A corgi's favorite treat is a peanut butter sandwich with cheese instead of bread! They love it! They only get it on bath day though.
To everyone who watches this in 2023: I actually fell in love with her playing Little Dorrit - those episodes really made my Christmas season that year. With that coming up… who doesn’t like a little Dickens at year end?
I was just watching her in 'Going Postal'.
She'll always be Adora Belle Dearheart to me.
Yes it was Claire Foy, she has been equally brilliant in many productions, including Wolf Hall, Little Dorrit, Hacks, Upstairs Downstairs, The Promise, Wreckers.... so pleased she is getting the recognition she richly deserves
Wait, wait, that was her? I knew I'd recognized her from somewhere! Praise be to your keen eye ;)
Watch her in Wolf Hall, she's amazing as Anne Boleyn
I prefer the e-mail version.
She’ll always be the Queen to me 👸🏻
I saw corgi's in the title and I freaked out. Us Corgi lover's are kinda nuts like that.
The Queen was a film though but well, it's clearly a clerical error.
A C funnily enough, The Queen was also written by Peter Morgan, the creator of The Crown!
She's a great actress!!!!!
She and Emilia Clarke are easily the 2 most beautiful women in showbiz at this point.
Agreed.
Breath is a wonderful movie
Little Dorrit!
I've liked her ever since I saw her in the mini series Little Dorrit (2008)
I cringed at Colbert's uncomfortable transition at 1:57 after she mentions there was no water at the Emmy's that Colbert hosted, and he realizes she isn't making a joke...

i'd rather have her as the sovereign than prince charles
She is the younger and British version of Winona Ryder lol
I thought moral rectitude has been outlawed in America.
2:11 omg i'm melting
so adorable!!!
Corgis are amazing!
She is beautifuuul
In Canada, WE LOVE THE QUEEN! good show too
She has freckled arms. I’m in love.
The Crown 👑
Claire Foy is my age and it made watching The Crown all the more fun!
Claire Foy made a great Queen -- since they both beautiful and young -- which most of us don't remember. Queen Elizabeth was only 25 when she became Queen. And she was a looker. We tend to remember her as "our grandmother". She was that - but so much more.
2:17: Now that is a drink❣️, Claire Foy must think🥃🤪🥳🤩
She is my favourite Queen, in The Crown.
Claire Foy is awesome she's painfully gorgeous, she looks so good in red
1:31 lmao she's just adorable
When she said " I can make life a little better for you" all i saw was a blonde Emilia Clarke from me before you
I watched Breathe! What a powerful topic. They both did a great job.
So beautiful 😍
Here in 2021 and the title still has not changed lmao
at 2:16 you can tell that Claire Foy is not a drinker hahaha The Looks she got when she drinks, its absolutely damn that just so me HEHEHEHEHE Love from Philippines Claire Foy
The fact people complain about vaccines, it irks me so much
This is how people who were not vaccinated against this disease suffered
Sorry, is there a vaccine for paraplegic injury?
Fix your title
LOL "The Queen" omg mr colbert
Lol "cheeky cheddar cheese" reminds me of "cheeky nandos"
2020 and the title still hasn't been changed 😂😂
Lmao it’s fucking The Crown bruh 😂
All dogs LIKE cheese.
I can verify that most, if not all, Corgis love cheese.
Its nearing 2020 and they still haven’t fixed the name in the title. /:
And in this one, hardly even discussed The Crown!
I have no idea who she is, but so pretty.
3:13 that laugh was so similar to adele's!!
Really, they have something with casting Doctor Who actors in every series adaptation about english queens! But that's good news! Colman is very talented, no doubt she'll make a nice queen!
God Save the Queen
Megan M fuck the queen
You mean the old guy with the dark hair?
God save the corgen
I have a corgi who loves cheddar and mozzarella. Confirmed.
Stephen took pointers from Graham I see.
Our corgi loves cheese too
1:56. Oh shit
Corgis just love food, especially mine
searched for claire foy interviews after finishing watching season 2 only just - what a shame season 3 had to witness the transition from young & beautiful to old & ughhh :-(
Bruh the show is called "The Crown"
It’s called ‘The Crown’!
I believe the current queen's corgi is a Welsh nationalist as he bit her.
Emilia Clarke and a Claire Foy in the same movie ... = now I can die moment
the newest hollywood hunnie.
I tired giving my Corgi some cheese, but it won't eat it.
It loves all this chocolate I'm giving it though. Won't stop eating it.
Livid Imp 😂
Why is Colbert is always drinking on the job? Damn I envy that guy
