I love how she threw her head back and laughed heartily. We should all laugh that way every so often. 😂
I love the way she enjoys her dad. She's such a charming person.
I love my dad, but he annoys me... he annoys most people but he's a sweet man.
Claire Foy was my favourite Queen.
Claire's dad seems like such a laugh 😊
For any Americans in the thread, Manchester City and Manchester United are teams in the English Premier League, and the rivalry makes the Army-Navy one seem polite.
Thank you! 😊
yawn🥱
appreciate the info lol
I did catch that one. What a great line. And his daughter’s perfect reaction is delicious.
I thought he seemed like a nice chap until he revealed himself as a Blue.😅
Claire looks SO different outside of her costumes for The Crown! What a talented young woman she is and what an interesting family history she has!
Gosh this is beautiful ❤️
claire such a nice daughter. i love her
In that younger photo of her father meeting his birth mother you can really see how Claire looks just like her father.
claire ❤😊
I do like her vibe !
Aww just the BEST! 😊
Is kinda crazy, proud to know the we born in the same city Manchester, and I live near Stockport aswell😊
Imagine his mum, thinking she'd lost her baby forever, seeing him return as an adult so many years later.
My main thoughts is just her role in The Crown😊
No finer actress! She’s an honest person who is so unpretentious!
What a laugh! 😂 made me laugh ❤
I couldn't imagine knocking at my parents' door
:grins: I can only assume that they live in a place that does not use latches then? Because, unless you have a key, how else are you going to get in without force? :)
I have Mainwaring's in my family ancestry. If Claire's dad descends from the Mainwaring's of Cheshire, England, his ancestry could go back to Hugh of Kevelioc, and from him, back to King Henry I.
That's really interesting. You should follow it up.
She had a relative who always knew she would be famous -
that right she was Claire Foy Aunt
Why does the “Welcome David” banner picture look photoshopped.
Like they randomly put a picture of the mother and some guy with a broom out front? Lmao😂
Claire Foy was very good as Elizabeth II in the Crown, but was even better as Anne Boleyn in Wolf Hall.
By the way, there's an American screenwriter named Daniel Mainwaring who, under a pen name, wrote
the great Noir thriller Out of the Past with Robert Mitchum. Maybe they're all related.
Out everything he could've been afraid to discover.😂
Mainwaring? They have relatives in Darjeeling, India. He was a Lepcha linguist. Any connection?
I have Mainwaring in my ancestry tree also. How are they related to people from India?
why is everyone brushing over the fact that he was born in a home for unmarried mothers - this means his birth mother was pretty much held hostage and her baby was stolen from her.
That whole period was horrific.
Yeah, women were so irresponsible back then
it doesn't mean that at all - grow a brain
❤😂
I wish we could see this posed if her in the parts she plays. She’s very funny.
of course she has Mancunian blood in her! she is bloody gorgeous
She is from Irish blood remember that.
Mainwaring or Manwaring is normally pronounced Mannering.
Whenever I see a photo of myself in my 20s or 30s I say exactly what he did … “I was quite skinny there”. No matter what it’s a pic of that’s where my mind goes. Ah, to be young.
Claire looks so much like her biological Grandmother.
Captain Mainwaring in Dad's Army is called Captain Mannering, so why does Claire's dad think his mother's name is pronounced like it's spelt?
because her father pronounces it that way - duh ... didn't you hear her ask for verification? double duh
"United fans "- everyone lost it then
How did he know his natural mother's maiden name was Mainwaring?
I'm glad she isn't really common sounding. Beautiful woman.
Few things more lower middle class than calling other people “common”. You try hard.
It's so awkward to listen that a british says 'independecn day' from their mouth.
how so? what are they supposed to call it? The World Turned Upside Down Day?
What a misinformed comment - and 'independecn day' so misspelt as well!!! (Probably a United fan 😂)
Independence Day doesn’t mean anything to British people
@@itsonlysound ahaha!
