I love it how in Europe breastfeeding is not a sexual thing or a big deal. It's just as casual as feeding you're baby, because that's simply what it is. Wonderful!
Ironically it's the uptight American feminist who drive the controversy they say that men make it a problem, but it's insecure feminist who sexualize everything, men aren't complaining it's the uptight American feminist wives and girlfriends who cause a stink about breast feeding! Most guys know look and then look away just like usual breast presence behavior, we aren't blind yet the great majority aren't rabid horn dogs ! The feminist need to check out their own behavior and stop trying to emasculate the modern man in the name of feminism!
Roy Perkins Every woman I know who would define herself as a feminist is pro breastfeeding in public spaces or wherever a woman needs to feed her baby (including myself). There are women who get uptight and angry about this stuff, but they aren’t feminists. Same as most healthy feminists aren’t man haters either. There are a lot of, basically, cartoon villain assumptions about feminism that are gross misrepresentations. Uptight, puritanical men and women hate on breastfeeding mothers. Nothing to do with feminism.
Clair Foy and Matt Smith have great chemistry off camera and should really consider working together on another project. I can see them killing it in a twisted, cerebral, dark, thriller mystery.
You're correct. The Queen actually did breastfeed her children, although admittedly only for a few weeks (I read in a biography on her somewhere that she fed Charles for six weeks and the others for two or three) So although she didn't nurse them for long, she did do it. Her great grandmother Queen Victoria had nine kids but never fed any of them - they all got passed off to 'wet nurses'
timrob12 It’d be funny if Peter Capaldi started playing Prince Philip in season 5 of _The Crown._ Personally, I’d like to see Charles Dance play Philip.
Mark Sieving - why am I not surprised. They really need to pull their heads out of their backsides and get over themselves. Ah well, that leaves more fun for us in the UK.
Ciara Elizabeth oh, I know Graham is Irish :) Irish people are awesome too! But I meant more like Claire and Matt are comfortable with her using a breast pump on set next to people and are having no qualm with talking about it openly.
Matt turned so red after he said "You were like a cow!" 😁 He meant it as a funny compliment but then I think he had misgivings about whether he should have said it. I thought it was sweet 🤗
Oh as a mom that breastfed two kids, it's kinda funny. If you don't find the humor in it, you get exhausted and depressed. I'm pretty chill about it though and some women aren't... it's all personal preference I suppose.
Pojosamaneo - um... he was JOKING! He wasn't trying to offend her. They are FRIENDS. This is what friends do. They rib each other for fun. Got it now?!?
Lisa Kazmier - exactly. Seems that some people are so determined to be offended, they are completely incapable of seeing the humour in anything. What a joyless life they must lead. Sad really, but then it just leaves more fun for the rest of us.
I just love that breastfeeding is becoming so normal and common, that you can discuss it so openly and have a good non-awkward laugh about it on a talk show ❤
The queen of England, the worlds greatest crime fighting detective and an alien all sat on the couch all seriousness though, i think matt smith would make a great riddler.
What wonderful chemistry, for me it was their casting that made watching The Crown intriguing. I feel like they brought great dignity to the roles as well

I think Claire Foy looks really stunning with blonde hair. I first knew of her appearing in Little Dorrit. I didn’t watch it but I knew of her. Then she was in that Nicolas Cage film Season of the Witch. She had been known for a while way before she appeared on The Crown. And now look at her. Playing the Queen, Lisbeth Salander and Neil Armstrong’s wife her career has just rocketed now.
The Crown would not be worth watching without these two, they click. So much so, I believe in the far off future thier, on & off the screen, chemistry will still be talked about. They truly enjoy each other's company. She is a sweet woman & be is outstanding yet humble. Truly adorable together & apart. The Crown is a surprising hit, & if not for them together, I don't think they'd get a call back for season two. MAGIC! We very rarely see that anymore.
So, you're telling me this man is going to play Daemon Targaryen in HOD(GOT's prequel), like seriously? Daemon Targaryen, the most dangerous man that ever lived in that world. Wow. He's gonna nail it.
It hilarious when they have that ONE American in there who just can't keep up with British humour! You can see the cogs turning behind Ben's eyes, hahaha!
At that one moment when Graham asked her about her baby, the way she looked at him was very reminiscent of Princess Diana. And in the show she looks like Elizabeth alright! So does Matt-heck, he looks like Philip all the time! It's funny how they got actors to look very much like their real life counterparts in these seasons, then jumped to very acclaimed but totally different-looking actors in the next 2 seasons.
I tried to use a hand operated breast pump when I returned to work after maternity leave.. was just awful! I gave up after a few weeks: 1. It took 20 mins to fill a little bottle. It was 'pump' time, so I said I just needed the loo on the way out. He said 'OK, I'll wait for you over here' 😱 I said, 'Oh. Erm, I may be a while' His face! The guy literally thought I was saying I was off to have a massive long poo! I quickly said 'Oh no, no, I am breastfeeding and need to express!' Honestly only Americans make a big deal out of it I think. I’ve never heard anyone complain of breastfeeding in Italy 🤔
Racist much?

Well none of them are american, in the rest of the world breastfeeding is perfectly normal

@HappyIka 1987 "Like a cow" simply because cows are humans' primary source of milk.
@HappyIka 1987 you are what's wrong with this world. Can't take a joke. Cows are beings too! Lighten up, life is beautiful!
@HappyIka 1987 she made the same joke earlier (around 2:06) about herself

They did a stage play together in London, shortly afterwards. Wish I'd seen it!
Can we talk about Matt's and Claire's friendship? ❤

Since the queen herself had to juggle having kids and being the queen, I'm not sure Claire Foy's experience was unrealistic.
