That’s what Polish people are, so courageous and persevering, alway fight and help when they can . I am so happy that these savings of Jews are shown to the public because people need to know
I deployed to the Brazilian antartcic station for 13 months and it was close to the polish station (arcktowsky). Such Great great people! We had a great time working together there! Hope they stay safe!!
"Lisa Kudrow in my home and not in my TV. I don't believe " I adore that line. It speaks to the reach of Friends. It should be noted that Lisa Kudrow was the Executive producer of WDYTYA in the US. She did alot of interesting things after Friends ends.
How beautiful that they are still alive and can make family connections after so long and after heartbreaking and cruel events. God bless all involved.
Social history is fascinating . A friend's grandfather was a POW in Siberia durin WW2. He managed to escape walked to Poland & joined the equivalent of the resistance there. Such strong, brave people , tough times .
Incredible. My grandmother survived the Holocaust and even to this day through DNA websites we are finding long lost relatives of the family that did survive.
In the beginning you never know what stuff you will uncover doing your ancestry. This one without a doubt was my favorite in the TV show who do you think You are. Lisa Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for sharing this. I am so sorry for what was endured by so many. We must continue the conversations and never forget. This is a very heartfelt chapter that Lisa was able to begin for her father. 🙏

Very respectful of Mrs. Kudrow. It would be helpful to have a historian and an interpreter during the conversation. The war time chaos and demographic shifts in Eastern Europe are difficult to understand.
Why don’t they just have subtitles? We can read English. When someone speaks in a foreign language, they should be given the chance to convey what they have to say with written words on screen His testimony is so important and it diminishes what he has said.
I wish it was clarified how Yuri/Boleslaw was able to survive. The people in Ilya were killed in March 1942, which I would assume would be a few years prior to the Russians pushing the Germans back? Also whether Yuri was from Ilya himself and lost his family too.
Why does the title of this video say a cousin of Lisa's father helped him DURING the holocaust? Her father was in the USA during the holocaust. He helped them financially after the war was over.
Although I was a huge Friends fan back in the day...this show Lisa to me in a whole and entirely heart wrenching new light! I do not see her as that character. But a whole person. This, for me, divorces her from that and puts her in the stream of all humanity. And tragedy! But I'm glad she was able to reunite with family.
This was initially shown in 2010. For all we know, Lisa's family (including her dad) may have visited already. Also, by now we don't know if Lisa's dad or Yuri are still alive.
So it was the Russian army who helped & stabilized the region (poland) and push the german army back to thier teritory. Israel must be thankful to the russians.
Learn about Ribbentrop Molotov pact or when the Germans destroyed Warsaw durong Warsaw Uprising to the ground and killed thousands of Poles the Russians stayed calmly across river Vistula. Or about Katyn where they killed 100 000 Poles. Learn how Stalin hated Poles.
When on a Holocaust video you can't let them grieve but have to insert a conflict she has nothing to do with says more about you than anything else (& it's not a good look).
That’s such a wonderful gift her father received. I’m sure that was heavy on his heart. Lisa so kind and understanding. Such a sweet daughter
My respect and love for Lisa Kudrow has grown 10 fold.

The most striking thing to see when they find long lost relatives in these shows is to see the resemblance is there!
That's the first thing I noticed. Yuri looked like her father. And his grandson looked like a male version of Lisa.
I don't really see the resemblance 🤔 but its a beautiful story🥲
Finding your family after so many years is a touching moment that they are living after such tragic times.
For all her amazing success she is so incredibly humble.. This is beautiful ❤️
Not only do I ❤ Lisa Kudrow as Phoebe I now ❤ her for finding a part of her roots
God bless you and your Dad Lisa ❤
Lisa's giggle in the end is just so cute... so her... so innocent❤
And there’s people still denying that it ever happened. I’m sitting here watching this in tears.
Incredible. My grandmother survived the Holocaust and even to this day through DNA websites we are finding long lost relatives of the family that did survive.
its so beautiful to see Lisa Kudrow as a person to be happy for such things in life
I would never suspect that my city Gdynia would play such a role in her life.. 🤯

Love your journey Lisa.
It is a great joy for his father to know that he is still alive.
The Holocaust took lives and families. Thanks for his message Lisa Kudrow!
Bless this family and all those who fought for, and supported the fight for, Freedom
Just beautiful. Also i discovered she is not acting, it was her own personality all along in friends.
That made my day, simply lovely life affirming story. Thank you Lisa

Although I was of age, I never watched Friends, but I watched Romy’s and Michelle‘s High School Reunion about 300 times.
Such a Phoebe moment!

All m'y respect for these people who suffered a lot. God Bless you all. ❤

Phoebe from searching for family in Friends to doing it in real life.....😢😢

Finding relatives is the best. But keeping an open mind is also important. Sometimes to survive you had to join the enemy
The Russians weren't their enemy.
So very true. It's important to understand the context in which people make certain choices.

thats put a big smile on my face !!! just wow !!!
Am i not mistaken that her father was a first cousin of this guy? Why is the title calling him a distant cousin?

WoW🙏🌹

Because some people may have hearing problems or not know English well. Why does it bother you?
