I completely agree! My dad was a soldier in the Second World War and he told me so many stories that I've written down and will pass on to my children.
The real problem is when a group holds a belief, to the point of certainty, that is not to be criticised or reasoned with. All beliefs, be they political or religious, should be held provisionally. We need to be skeptical of others and most importantly, our own beliefs and be willing and able to change them if necessary.
This is why it is so important to make sure history is never forgotten and that the holocaust is never forgotten. If we do not learn from history we are doomed to repeat it. No single group of people is better than any other. We are all precious 😢❤
