Honestly, the quality of the build in that bathroom, combined with the common sense organizing features built in and the impeccable care ......are just amazing.
What a charming and beautiful bathroom! It looks like the owners loved and cared for it because it’s in perfect condition. I agree that it is so sad to see people gutting the vintage beauties and they should be preserved.
Yes, people need to save old vintage and antique fixtures , architecture , flooring , tin work , ect.. ...please don't gut these out when they can be saved and restored !!! There are salvage yards --- business, habitat for humanity, ect. That take these old pieces , doors , windows ,ect . And sell them too for people who are fixing old places and need extra pieces , parts , toilets , ect. I would love to look around in there someday!!!! 📻🕰️⏳🎩
Love it! This home has been very well maintained. It’s immaculate! No signs of any water damage. The tile grout is still white, no cracks in any tiles. What a find! Your decorations are adorable. 😊💕
What a beautiful bathroom, we had to rip our original bathroom out as we found out we had termites which are common in Japan. I was devastated. But we are getting a repro bathroom.
Its absolutely adorable. I was born in 1947 and grew up when homes appliances were made to last and people took care of their homes. I wish we could go to those good all days. Thank you for sharing your love for my by gone era. Your home is beautiful and cozy.
That bathroom is GLORIOUS!! And like you said, so often those vintage bathrooms are gutted and completely made over. It just breaks my heart 💔 They are so beautifully built and thought out that it's almost criminal to destroy them. It looks like the previous owners took amazing care of that home for even the original tap sets to still be in place.
I love it! You are right--when older homes are remodeled, they lose some of the charm of the initial build. I am really impressed with the fixtures in the bathroom. They have been well taken care of with no visible signs of deterioration. LOVE the head vases, and it's a perfect place for them.
Seen those head vases in an antiques book l got , they were made by more then one co. Decades ago , a very popular item back then . She did good getting them !!!!
This is incredible, - this beautiful bathroom is an absolute time-capsule! How do people manage to keep their house in such a perfect shape for 70+ years?!
It's so good to see you posting again vintage neighbor. I have enjoyed seeing your and Jason's new house. It's awesome. Keep the videos coming. Can't wait to see more of the house and product reviews and cooking. Wishing you lots of happiness and love.
The bathroom looks beautiful! The former owners definitely took great care of their home and I’m sure are so happy that you as well will continue to take great care of their home which is now yours! ❤
I've now inherited a pink bathroom! I shall indeed try to save it the best I can. My dad's conch shell he sent home during the Vietnam era matches perfectly. I think I'll follow your fish theme! The sink and vanity were replaced, but the pink toilet and tub live on in all their glory! Xoxo
If only my 1970s bathroom was this functional. Just love the cupboard space. They really thought about the design of this space when they built the house.
"Save the pink bathrooms!!!" 😊 Thank you for sharing playing house with us. I love your bathroom and the ceiling light feature is Gorgeous! And the fish ... and the poodle garbage can... and .... and.... lol. 😊
The bathroom looks gorgeous! It’s great to see that bathroom wasn’t destroyed & remodeled. I don’t know how you find these beautifully preserved houses. They are so hard to come by! Congratulations! 🎈
The condition of your bathroom is phenomenal!!! How fabulous for you. Original 50’s bathroom s are the absolute greatest!!! You have a real jewel. You did a great job with your decor. Thanks for loving it.
Great bathroom! My grandma had an all lavender bathroom and the fishes! Loved it! She also had a tiny kitchen with all pink appliances!!! I have the chrome toothbrush holder in my kitchen… guess they wanted to be able to brush their teeth right after meals! 😆
Oh my gosh, that bathroom! So beautiful, even before decorating! I don't know how it could be so well maintained! Absolutely love the pink and grey and all the original fixture and built ins. Lucky you!
Reminds me of the bathroom in our house when I was little. I was born in 1958. My parents moved in their newly built home in 1960. You need a toilet paper roll lady- doll torso with a crochet dress than uses a toilet paper roll under the dress. My grandma made them. We grew up seeing lots of doll’s with only a torso. LOL. This brought back so many sweet memories. Homes from that era were so well thought out and practical- like the built-ins in bathrooms.
Are you the twin sister I was never told about lol? Same birth year, same torso toilet paper holder…love it! P.S. my parents moved into their new house in 1960!
I got one of those pink crochet torso doll TP skirt things .......got at a yard sale years ago . Haven't thought of it in long time .. ..till now!!! Gotta find it !! 👗💮🌸
How amazing and a miracle to find a home almost 70 years old that looks like it's barely lived in and was preserved. What a dream come true! Thank you for showing us everything before doing anything with it. I would not change a thing in the gray and pink bathroom 😊
I adore your pink and gray bathroom. It really takes me back. I used to live in a house that had pink sink and tub. I just love those colors. I wish they would bring back the colored pieces like that and I also miss the colored toilet paper they used to have too. That was the greatest stuff! lol!
Wish they would sell the colored toilet paper , or at least the white that had little frilly designs on it !!! It might of cost more , l would of used it only for visitors . Kept saying l was going to buy some , then it was gone out of the stores just like that ....WTH ?? Anyone seen any somewhere ....
I'm in awe about the amazing condition of that bathroom. It's like time stood still! The chenille towels are gorgeous! The whole room turned out beautifully! The toothbrush holder is genius! Well done! Thanks for sharing! Long live MCM pink bathrooms!
I hate to see vintage houses and interiors updated. I just love your bathroom soooo much. I love the hidden toothbrush turn around. Houses were built to last and they didn’t cut corners on anything. Years ago people had pride in their work. Our house was built in the 70’s. The builder of these houses built them quickly. They put the cheapest windows in our house and different size was windows. They used cheap materials. I wish when we married I could have persuaded my husband to move. He lived here before we met. I would have looked for a nice house built in the 50’s. You are very Blessed to have the home you have. I’m too old to be looking for a 50’s house and living that life. I’d be head over heals ready to do that if I was 30 something. But I have bought a couple retro dresses and shoes and am going for the 50’s look for when we go out. I really needed a change. I had long hair with bangs. I cut 14” off and love it. It comes slightly longer than my collarbone. Last night I pin curled my hair for the first time and wrapped it with a vintage sheer scarf. It didn’t look good but I did the best I could for my first time. I had to run out for a bit so I wore a long sleeve white cotton shirt, my blue jeans and my white canvas sneakers. I don’t have any appropriate tops or jeans. But it gave the illusion. I can’t wait to get the proper clothing. I want to tell you that I love your channel.!💗💗💖💞💝💗💟💕💖
Pre-decorations it's like a bathroom straight out of Aqua's barbie girl song, really nice. I think we need to get companies to create more variations soon, because interior design has been stagnant for many years now. Like when i open a bathroom magazine it should be wild colored tiles etc, not just white and black over and over. Here in Norway we had some great interior designs in the late 90's/early 2000's. Yellow's, greens and exposed wooden doors with golden door handles, i think it was uniquely a scandinavian theme at the time. Luckily for me i rent a place where the bathroom is intact from that time period, yellow walls, the soft cream linoleum flooring, and original shower.
I hear of people taking out pink bathrooms and I think OMG but why, they are so beautiful and cozy and happy. I just love your channel it makes me feel Happy😻
Oh my gosh, my grandma had pink tiles and the same scales as you. Brings back memories. She had little plaster ducks on her wall. I absolutely adore the light fixture!
I grew up in the fifties and remember them fondly. The curtains remind me of curtains my mom had. The bathroom was nice to begin with but your touches brought the decor up quite a few notches. I wish you happy times in your fine home.
Beautiful job decor your bathroom Laci. The rose dale bowl and fabric for the curtains couldn’t be more perfect. And you fishes, lady head vases, etc are lovely.
This bathroom was just waiting for you to come along and love it back to life - how lucky you found each other, instead of some philistine who would have gutted the whole thing!
My mother had yellow fish with just 2 surviving bubbles while growing up back in the '70's. Bathroom is in such great condition considering it is original.
I love the Mammie Eisehower pink bathrooms. I grew up in a house that had the pink tiles on the walls, and the fish wall hangings. Brings back fond memories for me.
This is, absolutely, the most perfect bathroom, I've ever seen, that's not in a magazine. Oh my goodness all the storage and fixtures are amazing, as well as the colour combination. Y'all did such a beautiful job of decorating. Congratulations on y'all's new home and wishing much joy and many happy memories. 🐠🧜♀️🧜♂️🐟
Wow! It looks amazing Laci! And yes, let's all band together to save these beautiful classic bathrooms (and homes) from being ruined by remodelers! So many times I see a lovely vintage home for sale, only to be disappointed by the fact that the insides have been gutted and modernized.😥
And they make it look all cheesy and shiny , " ultra modern". Makes me sick to my stomach !!! Seen it happen . Even worse , when they throw out old fixtures, solid wood doors, cabinets. , built in shelves , sink handles. , ect. They could give these things away , or sell them , donate them to Habitat for Humanity or a salvage business , or restoration business who may buy stuff from them . Doesn't hurt to ask , and gives new purpose to old, discarded items and people out there who need this stuff !!!
I lived in two vintage 1950’s homes and I loved them both! But work moved us so…. The first was in El Paso, Texas. Amazing vintage homes out there!! The second was in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas. Again tons of awesome vintage homes. All the bathrooms in the homes I saw were floor to ceiling tiled. Pinks, yellows, blues, turquoise! You name it, they had it! I had pink in both houses.❤ I live in Missouri now in a newer home, but when we remodeled, I did the master bath pink tile! Took a bit to find the tile and also took a bit to convince the contractor! Lol! The workers were super excited! Never had used pink before! They loved it!😂
You may have a problem getting people out of your bathroom! It's FABULOUS and a truly unbelievable find in original condition and so well maintained. Wow.
I’ve always loved the pink 50s bathrooms. So beautiful and you decorated it so pretty. Love lady head vases, and the fish. Yes, I’m nearly crying and screaming when people destroy their beautiful pink vintage bathrooms 😢
That's a very modern looking vintage bathroom to my British eyes- we didn't have bathrooms like that in the 1950s over here: two basins a shower, all those built in cupboards etc. I like the pink with the grey- those two colours look so good together!
So beautiful, I just can't get over how well kept the whole home was kept from that time period, and now you own and live it in for the next 50 plus years cleaning and keeping up on it, like seriously there has been no wear or rust or grime anywhere, like wow... Your house could be a museum one day!!! ❤❤❤❤
Loved this episode! My grandpa built their home in 1954. And they still have all the original bathrooms. A pink. A blue. A yellow. And a green. Your pink bathroom looks a lot like theirs. ❤ great decor!!!
Super. We recently purchased a 1979 home. We are trying to decorate vintage style, and its has been so fun. I love pink, and use it everywhere in my home. I love the pink bathroom. I have saved the cupboards in our kitchen, and it white with pink and yellow accents. I am in my glory. I am so happy for your and Jason, and the fun you both share in having a vintage lifestyle.
Laci, your bathroom is beautiful! Makes my heart happy to see the vintage pink and gray tiles and colored fixtures still there and in mint condition. I don't understand why people rush to gut these wonderful vintage rooms and replace with boring modern stuff. Love your wall decorations too!
That bathroom is beautiful. The floor and wall tiles must have been expensive and installed by someone that knew what they were doing, because they look like they are new. You can tell that home has been well taken care of, because everything in great shape. Growing up, our bathroom had similar pink tile on the walls, with pink tub, sink and toilet. Your home was built the year I was born.🤩
My grandparents had a pink bathroom 😭😭 I didn’t appreciate it as a kid but I’m glad I have vivid memories of it! Maybe because it was so different from the “modern” (80s) fixtures and such we had. 🩷
Absolutely love love these. So so lucky to have all those wonderful features. I would give my right arm for that bathroom. I am such a fan. So glad you're back.
I miss you, Laci. I hope you are busy Living a joyous life. 💛 Happy Magical Holiday Season. 🎄 All the Best to you.
Honestly, the quality of the build in that bathroom, combined with the common sense organizing features built in and the impeccable care ......are just amazing.
Every home needs a fluffy towel guardian
He is the keeper of the towels 🤣
agreed❤
Lol cute at 2 ❤lol
Welp, that guardian said, "Beeach, I didn't say you could touch me..."
What a charming and beautiful bathroom! It looks like the owners loved and cared for it because it’s in perfect condition. I agree that it is so sad to see people gutting the vintage beauties and they should be preserved.

@laurenvillasana9003 I noticed the same thing about the tile and grout!
What a beautiful bathroom, we had to rip our original bathroom out as we found out we had termites which are common in Japan. I was devastated. But we are getting a repro bathroom.
It’s beautiful! Nothing beats the charm and uniqueness of older homes. Great job decorating 🩷

I grew up in a house that was built in 1959. Both bathrooms where pink and grey... so nostalgic
I love this, thank you for keeping the original stuff intact! The quality is so much better than the stuff today!
I love it! You are right--when older homes are remodeled, they lose some of the charm of the initial build. I am really impressed with the fixtures in the bathroom. They have been well taken care of with no visible signs of deterioration. LOVE the head vases, and it's a perfect place for them.

Everything looks brand new, just goes to show how well made things were in the past. Lucky find in the house not being remodeled to dead. Love it all.
Love the vintage bathroom. ThankGod no one had torn it out in order to 'update' it!
Keep the old, vintage look .....love it !!!! This is history at its best !!!! Teach your kids something !!!
It's so good to see you posting again vintage neighbor. I have enjoyed seeing your and Jason's new house. It's awesome. Keep the videos coming. Can't wait to see more of the house and product reviews and cooking. Wishing you lots of happiness and love.
Thanks for sharing your passion, I have also begun to introduce the 1950s and early 1960s decor into my living area and also clothing style.
The fabric for your 1950's bathroom is perfect-like it was meant for that room. Thanks for taking us along on your journey.

Xoxo
Loving the fish and mermaid. And the ladies. And the towel guard 😺
If only my 1970s bathroom was this functional. Just love the cupboard space. They really thought about the design of this space when they built the house.

I love everything about that vintage bathroom, except PLEASE update the outlet by the sink with a GFCI outlet.

I've been decorating my apartment in a mid century retro futurism style. It's great to see mid century being embraced.
What a beautiful bathroom!!

Having been born in 1950 I really enjoyed the trip back in time! Just beautiful and well done!
❤️🤗

What a beautiful original bathroom. I Love the way you decorated. It must spark joy using your lovely bathroom everyday. ❤
Oh my gosh, my grandma had pink tiles and the same scales as you. Brings back memories. She had little plaster ducks on her wall. I absolutely adore the light fixture!

When you two finish the whole house make overs, I would love love to see another full walk thru!!!!❤❤❤❤
My folks front bathroom was ALL PINK 💞 toilet, tub, sink, and tile. The rugs, towels, toilet cover too. The whole shebang! It was glorious.

Yes, that's what it's called! My house is pink stucco even, jadeite and pink red inside
The bathroom looks as though no-one has ever used it. Looks beautiful.
I'm surprised you found such an amazing time capsule of a house. Everybody wants to turn houses into faux farmhouses. Cant wait to see more!
Wow! It looks amazing Laci! And yes, let's all band together to save these beautiful classic bathrooms (and homes) from being ruined by remodelers! So many times I see a lovely vintage home for sale, only to be disappointed by the fact that the insides have been gutted and modernized.😥

The tiles are immaculate! I love it!❤ You just need to have a crocheted toilet paper cover for the back of the toilet!
Love the decor. Our bathroom in the 1950"s was pink and black. We had large angel fish on the walls. This was so nostalgic.
My grandparents had a pink bathroom 😭😭 I didn’t appreciate it as a kid but I’m glad
I have vivid memories of it! Maybe because it was so different from the “modern” (80s) fixtures and such we had. 🩷
Absolutely love love these. So so lucky to have all those wonderful features. I would give my right arm for that bathroom. I am such a fan. So glad you're back.
my grandparents house i think was built in the 50s don't know what year but they died later on
Ahh thank you! I agree. I feel very lucky ❤️
Wow , your bathroom turned out very nice. Thanks for showing us.
Your bathroom is beautiful, I can't believe how clean all the tile is from 1956 Wow amazing! 😊
Gorgeous bathroom! I love the colors, fixtures, cabinets, tile, everything! This style, and quality needs to come back!
