When we first made over this powder room I actually had plans to make it very dark and moody, and guess what? I chickened out! I went to this pink mauve-y color instead because I really loved that color and now after doing so much of our home, I realized I am no longer afraid of going dark and moody so that’s exactly what we’re doing today!

I absolutely love the green with that stunning wallpaper! Just one opinion though, I think that medicine cabinet throws things off for me. Just looks really out of place. This really inspires me to do something with my tiny bathroom

I hear what you're saying. I think she had a really great idea with the cabinet with a piece of art in place of a mirror. She can switch out pieces. she's also promoting her art that she's proud of.Maybe she'll make something more moody in the future that will be more appropriate that will be inspired by this bathroom makeover.
Great job pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and accepting a new challenge! Some constructive feedback: I think the artwork worked better with the tones of the old bathroom. The wallpaper is beautiful but it clashes with the medicine cabinet. Maybe it looks different in person but the green paint doesn't really match the blue undertones of the wallpaper. Perhaps a charcoal black would have toned everything down to match the artwork and the vanity. Otherwise, great job! Always impressed by how you keep motivating yourself to try something different in a room.
I thought the same about the green paint and like your idea of charcoal black.

My Fix Would be Easy: Match the box behind the picture frame to the wall color ...Rub & Buff with antique gold the actual picture frame portion lightly; the same for any wood, Rattan, or bamboo used in the bathroom glaze it...
You'll find it then becomes seamless perfection and you won't have to change your art or your shelving just glaze them sith rub & buff
I love that wallpaper! The dark and moody theme is so nice. I’m not sure about the frame/cabinet though. Something about it doesn’t look right in that space. I wonder what it would look like if you used the wallpaper as the artwork inside the frame and then paint the box the wall colour Maybe use some rub and buff lightly on the frame to match the mirror and light fixtures

Only thing I would change is the art print. It feels too light and bright. But otherwise, simply amazing!
Dang I love it, I just think the Medicine Cabinet throws it off😭😭 kind of matches the first remodel but it’s overall beautiful!!
You did a great job Tina, but a think the wainscoting should have been the same colour as the background of the wallpaper. I can’t put my finger on the box but it doesn’t look quite right, maybe it’s your flower print (which is gorgeous) clashes with the cherry blossom. Maybe you could paint some art with just branches and leaves to match the cherry blossom and put the box on the far wall as you walk in and just above the wainscoting. I also agree with the other comment about painting the ceiling the same as the wainscoting which would make the room very moody. You did a great job with wallpapering and I’m so excited that you plucked up the courage to go dark and moody. You rock!🙌🏻
I love the moodiness of this small bathroom! I would make 2 suggestions: maybe a black paint would work nicer with the wallpaper and I think the medicine cabinet looks a little out of place. Amazing job as usual!
Love the cabinet, paper and new color although I not entirely on board with the art chosen for the cabinet, the bathroom is too small for the eye to pull the same color from the lower bathroom cabinet panel. I would try the wallpaper in there or even try your" busy"apricot blossom print to coordinate with the paper and the tile floor. I dunno, just my opinion. I think you did the right thing with this change. It is beautiful.
Just for info: the embroidery shows a motif of Maria Innocentia Hummel, a German Franciscan sister and artist (+1946). Her illustrations were published in books and as postcards. A german porcelain factory produced collectible figurines ('Hummel figurines') until 2008.

The terricota pot is actually to hold garlic, hence the holes on the side. It should've come with a lid. Love the wallpaper! 😊

It is a great accomplishment to be bold and make your space what you want it to be. So often people become afraid of the idea and never move forward Glad you decided to change the bathroom now it fits your style and the rest of your home.
The terracotta pot looks like a garlic pot, but I could be wrong. The vase you got also mimics the arches that you have in the room.
I really love how the pattern repeat on the wall paper isn’t extremely obvious. That’s one of my pet peeves about wall paper.
To become seamless over lap the paper just slightly. Once it dries it will shrink slightly.
@@stacywatters9106 that’s an extremely good tip I’ll have to remember! But I was talking about the print on the wallpaper, the art so to speak. All wallpaper has a repeating pattern, or print. And sometimes the repeat is too precise and obvious, which looks tacky to me. This does not :)

I like the wall a paper and wall color, the gold looks good with it. I’m not sure the bare wood is in keeping with all the work you’ve done. If you want attention drawn tot he wallpaper the cabinet takes your eye to it and not the art work. Maybe painting it the color of the bead board would help the cabinet receded and the art work pop more. Just my thoughts. It’s still a beautiful bathroom prefer it over the mauve sorry
Hey Tina! I love the paint color and wallpaper choice. The art print cabinet feels unfinished to me. I suggest painting or staining the wood, brightening the frame, and adding a back so it looks like a truly finished unit. I also suggest adding something on the wall you see when you walk in.

Really loved the room, I agree with Katherine Land, the medicine cabinet didn’t go, I think if it was a darker wood color with a different print, that would work better. Loved that wall paper and the dark green with the gold, just beautiful!
This is so cool! I have been pondering making over our powderroom in a moody style and yesterdag I had THIS EXACT WALLPAPER IN MY HAND!!! What???!! I did choose a different one with more colors, since we have a colored glass ceiling. But this is awesome to see! Love it!

Beautiful! I LOVE wallpaper💙💙💙💙💙💙. When I was 9 (in the 70s) I was allowed to choose the wallpaper I wanted for my room. White with tiny blue flowers in vertical lines. I adored it and am to this day drawn to similar styles on anything lol.

I would not have dared to redo the room because it already looked really nice, but I also like the new moody version, though busy wallpapers are not really my style. The new design looks interesting and bold. I especially love the greenish color on the bottom

I love the darker paint color and darker wallpaper. Nice effect. I’m getting ready to paint my half bath Sherwin Williams Naval (dark navy blue). And I’ll wallpaper it also something dark blue. I’ve been wallpapering for 50 years. Putting the wallpaper paste on the wall is the easiest way I have found. And the mirror is cool. Where did you get that? I love dark paint colors. Great job!!!
