I agree...It is the BEST improvement you've made so far. Remember, Freedom is not free, but it's worth fighting for. Thank you and may GOD bless you and your family.
I just put two 6x10' flags up on my property. I was waiting for that idiot Trump to be out of office ;) Love of country isn't "out of vogue", but I only fly the flag when I'm proud to be an American, and I haven't been for the past four years. The country and it's flag has nothing to do with love of God though, so I don't know why you mentioned it. In fact, the two are specifically supposed to be kept separate. Real patriots have read the constitution in it's entirety (not just the parts they like) and know that fact.
@@RUclipsUpdatesKeepGettingWorse Lol. U mad? You and your orange god got wrecked, and now he's going to prison. Southern District of NY is coming for his lyin' ass. Lock him up!

mmanut I don’t think everyone needs a flag. I do have a few poles up but I don’t fly the US flag because I have started my own nation. But flags flying in front of someone’s house no matter the country’s flag give someone pride
Jerry Bates I hate when people say America is the best country because it’s free. If your making that argument then Canada is the best or Belgium, The United Kingdom, Ireland, France etc.
Drake’y Land Gaming no way is Canada better. With their current government they are one of the most repressed in the free world. Better get you facts straight. America isn’t perfect, but nothing is. America is the ONLY country in the world we’re you are in charge of your own future. Belgium and other European countries are far from what the Idealist preach as better. Need to check facts better or maybe visit there to see for yourself and not rely on hear say comments from some left wing anti American League.
Jerry Bates I have been there and I lived there for 5 years. Best five years of my life. I’m NOT saying America is not as free as Canada as that’s not true , but still I still think Canada’s better. Maybe if you looked at the first amendment you realize that I’m allowed to say that. It’s called Expressing your opinion.
Great job... God Bless America, also you and your Family !! Happy Fourth 2 y'all... still Liv's all the videos, always enjoyable and your efforts r so appreciated. 👍 🇺🇸
I respect the American flag and have one hanging on my wall and I'm not even American or live in America for that fact. I love the passion and patriotism you guys have and I respect you for it I'm glad America is our bigger brother
This is a great idea for a diy flag poll, as a Canadian I plan to do this and add an American flag to the poll I put up because in my eye America is one of the greatest countries in the world!
Finally. A man who does this in a practical wsy.. See lots of videos where they dig a hole the size of the Grand Canyon with a sleeve and 14 tons of concrete. Well done…
Great video to show us to install by yourself of this flag mast, very interested so see that you can do it yourself without any qualified personel. I love to fly the national flag daily so love to watch your presentation, Red poppy ranch..
This is the BEST DIY Flagpole vid I've seen, and doesn't require a welder etc. ( although where I am, we would have to set it in to 3 or 4 feet of concrete cement). As the granddaughter of a WWI Veteran I appreciate the name of your farm. Thanks from one of your northern neighbours. 👍🇨🇦
What a beautiful video,God Bless America. I love your videos it's wonderful to see a man so dedicated to his family. You have a great story voice.God Bless You and yours.🙏
The half hitches are the worst not too tie on that situation terrible choice. Google knots educate yourself and pick a better knot. Maybe the flag knot?
Keeping heading of the flag so tight like that will prematurely wear it out on the ends. You need to let it have some slack. Keeping your halyard that tight will also wear that out. You should get a cleat and a pulley on top. Also, all quality flags (Annin etc) are fully USA made. Lastly, if you had used cement, you would have only need to put the pole two feet deep and would be more sturdy then it currently is. This is constructive criticism by the way.
I have bought and erected 3 flag poles in the past 2 years, a good storm and wind brings them down every time, much better off doing it with your own materials than buying one, ones bought are thin aluminum and cheap made, I have had them all concreted in, my last one folded and broke about 3 months ago, so now I am sliding 2” schedule 40 pvc pipe over the aluminum, see it the wind can break that one lol 6 ft buried though is a bit extensive lol but it will definitely be sturdy lol looks great though, awesome job
Which "God" ??? The man made one (a false god) from the Corporation? Obvious not that one from Matthew 5:9 "Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God."
@ alan yup, out of the One (God) we are many, so dont make any false gods (out of the many we make one, like countries, corporations, flags, etc and give those idiots authority over you)
Job well done. Thank you for displaying our Flag.. BTW it needs a night light, go solar... one of the better ones that last all night... God Bless Ya, our Flag and America.
I am an old Industrial Arts Teacher so here it goes. A Flag Pole should not be less than 20 feet, 25 feet nice for a home, 30 feet is my preference. You would have only needed 2 feet to 30 inches in the ground if you would have used pre-mix concrete with a small pad around the pole. The Pole should have been sanded and painted with aluminum paint or Chrome spray paint. I would have put a 1/4 inch pulley at the top of the pole and use 1/4 inch Nylon Braided Rope instead of that small twine. I would placed a standard rope cleat to secure the rope at the bottom. A Ball fixture should have been placed at the top of the pole even if it came off of an old brass bed post. The Flag Pole I describe would have cost a tad bit more, but it would have been gotten an A+.
Congrats. My only comment is you should of put a PVC sleeve in first with a stone base. Cement the PVC in place. Then insert the pole in the PVC. This way it will last YEARS to come. Other then that I love your patriotism and thank you for being you! God bless you and your wife!
Brother, that is the hardest I have ever sern anybody work to dig a hole. Those things may be a family heirloom but I think I would hang them up a a museum piece and get me an old fashioned set of post hole diggers. Good video
I'm just going to put mine up like they did when they first started . Fell me a 30 foot straight pine and buck it . Add my pilot holes put my eyelets in an pully at top presto. Of course the bark will stay on permanent. Well as long time . Thank you to our fourfathers. God bless your souls for the bill of rights .
I'm making an old-style colonial flag pole out of a walnut tree. I saw a video that informed of the flagpole knot. the knot tied is supposed to end up between the flag eyelets.
Very nice job bud, only thing I would have done a little different is when you cut the rope after measuring for the length, maybe burning the end as to stop it from fraying. Overall fantastic job.
Thank you and this is awesome! The back ground music is great! The one question I have is, where did you find the hand auger to make the hole? I borrowed one to put in fence posts and it was a life saver! I'd spent 2 days getting 1 1/2 holes dug for our new fence with the post hole digger due to all the rocks in our soil. Once I got the auger, I finished all the holes in a few hours! I've been trying to find one ever since! A link would be appreciated!
I gotta be honest... I would much rather have seen that pipe in the ground protecting some PVC. I couldn't think of a better alternative for it though. You have me wanting to jump on Amazon to buy a flag. Thanks for the vid.
Hi, I need to do this project as well, i am curious where you got a pipe for $15, that long? I checked the local hardware store and a 4ft pipe is $13. Also im thinking for those that dont have a tapping tool we can just have a nut welded onto the pipe itself. I guess it does not need a ground as it is its own ground.
Well done. I wish I was your neighbor. God bless you, our American flag, and our country.

maybe so as the rope stretchs...
above the bottom eyebolt use a turnbuckle.. so when the rope needs to be tightened. just tighten the turnbuckle.
