Who is Phone Guy? - FNAF THEORY
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 27 сен 2024
- Phone Guy was an absolute star back in the early days of FNAF but after the third game, he was literally never mentioned again. Aside from being in Ultimate Custom Night... at the very bottom of the list. Who is this person and does his significance carry throughout the series or is he a FNAF relic to simply be forgotten?

Honestly, I accept this as canon. I think the idea of phone guy being a fairly insignificant character in the grand scheme of things who's just as in over his head as we are adds to his charm, in a way.
Yeah I agree too. It kind of saddens me how the series has become more complex without really expanding. It seems like no one can just be someone insignificant, everyone has to be related to this one random guy or something yknow.
That’s how the first 3 games kinda set him up. Not to be a big part of the story but rather a mirror of your own experience being the night guard. A character that you can relate to if you will. He was in the same position as you, and knew little about the animatronics as you did. Of course he did seem to be *somewhat* higher up in the company, but he really was in the same shoes as us the player. That’s why he’s one of my favorite characters :)
Basically what he was from the beginning. A guy in the exact same position as you who unfortunately didn't make it out alive
Agreed
Phone Guy is the creator of Map Bot.
I always thought the "phone" in purple guy's hand was actually just his hand

It is kinda weird that phone guy wasn't given a more important role. He was clearly a loyal employee of the company, having worked at Fredbears Family Diner and at the fnaf 1 and 2 locations. Meaning he worked for the company for at least 10 years. Plus, he was voiced by Scott himself. You'd think he'd have more importance but, he doesn't. If it was up to me I'd give him his own book series, or at least make him an important character in one. We could explore what Fredbears and Freddy's were like during the day and see how big of an impact Williams killing/kidnapping sprees had on the company. Maybe even explore what his time was like as a night guard at Freddy's.
Yes and even the fact that he tried to help *us* you know with giving us informations
I don’t know, I think to a degree that after he gets got he’s got. I think most of the fan base is tired of action coming back(especially for security breach). Sometimes it’s time to write somebody out
@@funwithcoding2818 They should have done it with the character that died twice in the franchise then, lol
I feel the reason that he was voiced by Scott is because fnaf one had such little funding and they wanted to stick with it through out games
@@supremeburito6406 yup
I feel bad for phone guy he didn’t deserve to die he was just helping us, and what’s even sadder is that he tells us to check the suits because he knew he was gonna get put in one
Which is why he said he would hang on until someone did because he wanted to at least be found
Oh. I took it as him starting to suspect that the bodies were hidden in there, to check the suits for dead kids because he mentioned once that he couldn't bring himself to look inside.
He had an idea about them.
@@pollyc.1957 I thought this too.
@@pollyc.1957 i think its both
He was however lying about the animatronics, he did help us but he was not telling the truth of why the animatronics do what they do, the company does know what happened but they try to hide it to stay open
If it was Henry, then he would have to be dead after fnaf 1, but as seen in fnaf 6 which takes place after fnaf 1, it’s settled as Henry built the pizzeria in fnaf 6 to lure the animatronics and release their soul.
the thing about FNAF 6 is that there are multiple if not MANY, MANY locations during that time period. in FNAF 6, you play as Michael, presumably, but the main importance of your protagonist is being a franchise owner. The reason you are able to customize your pizzeria in FFPS from a story perspective is that your location is one singular franchise of presumably many, considering there are training videos that play at the beginning of the game. The canonical location that burns down has Michael and Henry in it (according to Henry himself in the tape), but it's safe to assume there are many other ongoing locations at the time.
mike built the pizzeria actually.
@@kuanai oh, i thought he owned it instead of build. Sorry bout that
@@Argezi im not even sure myself cuz ive seen tons of people think that henry built it that im starting to think it myself. No hate on you, just pointing it out! ^-^
@@kuanai neither of them specifically "built" it. Henry was the original CEO of Fredbear's before it got sold "to another company," but it's fair to assume that Henry is still the CEO of Fazbear Entertainment. Mike is just the franchise owner, which isn't really important for the story, considering Henry had put all the pieces in place to attract all the animatronics
Something to note about Phone Guy is when he dies the animatronics are pretty much cheating with how aggressive they are now it might be a way to calm you down but he says "its been a bad night here for me" What has he been dealing with every night, how good is he at surviving fnaf 1.

Phone Guy was so very on the radar that even Golden Freddy went active unprompted. They had him locked up in his office, too, and refused to leave despite the doors being closed. It was worse than 4/20, it was something like 5/50, and perhaps if Phone Guy somehow lingered on, even The Endo or the Puppet would start becoming antagonistic. Thank god we only spend a week.
One thing I would want is for a book to further explain how phone guy got involved with Freddy's, like explaining how much of a nice guy he is who is willing to put himself at risk if it means saving somebody else. Just to make it really hit hard when you realize that this guy, this dude who is possibly the nicest guy in the fnaf universe was killed due to him unknowingly getting involved with Freddy's and meeting his demise. I'm not saying this is canon but this is a my pov of how to characterize phone guy to an even more complex character other than just the dude who helps you get through the night. I'm taking his minor role in the games and fleshing it out.
Unknowingly?

Gotta love more phone guy videos. This insignificant minor character has always been my favorite so seeing more of the man makes me happy.
Same! Maybe it's just cuz he was the very first friendly entity in the franchise, but I've always felt kinda attached to the character. On one hand I think it's fair he just stays some poor, normal guy who worked at Freddy's too long and got caught in the crossfire, but on the other hand it's sad to see him relatively forgotten as the franchise has grown.
I have had an unhealthy attachment to him since 2014 and DSaF is how I cope
He's been my favorite too!
the fnaf fandom is just so creative with creating names for unknown characters. “purple guy” “phone guy” “green guy”

The Green Guy being phone guy is definitely a good theory.
I hope that one day we will find closure of his identity.
I still think it's Afton besides the probable phone guy death because of 'I always come back'
I do think that we also see phone guy in fnaf 4 during one of the mini games you can see someone using the Fred bear spring lock suit on the right, And very few people were trusted using the suits with one of them being phone guy
Is never said Phone Guy wore one, just he knew about the protocols
@@atanaZion Why would the company tell him about the protocols, if he was never intended to use the suits?

Phone guy’s my favorite. I never mute his calls because I like the company of his voice while I’m shitting myself checking cameras.
it brings back so many memories of just him saying “hello?”
Very late to this but a very interesting fact that supports this is that if you invert the colours of the two sprites in the midnight motorist minigame, the yellow-orange one is purple (ofcourse), and the green one is a pink shade very similar to that of the phone guy sprite we see smiling at foxy. Could be a bit of a stretch but who knows
I thought the green guy was Henry Emily which is the reason why William killed his daughter.
See, I think that the green guy is meant to be Henry if he has enough authority to turn William away. But obviously Henry can’t be phone guy because he has a very obviously different voice in the fnaf 6 ending
The greem guy could be from a random emplyer to an acquaitance to William, he just said he couldn't be in, don't sounds much authoritary.

Maybe if we do get that fredbear’s prequel game he can finally return one last time
i’m not exactly sure but I think green guy is Henry. I believe this is supposed to take place after The bite of 83 and the case of the missing children. Henry suspects that it is William and wants to have a nice restaurant. William is mad Henry told him you have to leave so he kills his daughter charlotte, or for short charlie. Charlie’s soul is in the puppet now because henry made the puppet to protect charlie but william outsmarted it. Charlie, now as a puppet goes back to the pizzeria and gives the dead children life as an animatronic
Man, I still remember back in 2014 when Phone guy was one of the most important characters, given he constantly appeared in the first three games
He is: scott cawthon😎
The green guy is henry, but it would make sense that phone guy could of been henry, except henry must have been alive to be featured in fnaf 6
2 Henry's
Henry is green guy because he knows about what William afton did and he doesn't what the bad rep for his other location he realizes that he has to continue on solo without William afton
Gotta love how the ending is “did Scott intend this? No, but it works” and I entirely agree
An old theory that I really like was one that claimed that phone guy was the Ceo of the company and Purple Guy's boss who ordered him to do everything he did
you know what would be a cool trailer for a new game.
you hear a heartbeat pulsating.
the eyes open.
you see an old man getting out of bed.
the tension rises.
he picks up the phone as the trailer ends.
The phone guy was the character we used to know the most about and to this day we only know him as “phone guy”
For me, I always just saw Phone guy as Scott himself but yeah that is my own choice of course
This aged well, because the Phone Guy is confirmed as the Purple Guy on the FNAF Movie.
Fnaf movie isn't canon.
Just discovered this video, phone guy was always my favorite human character in the series and he still is, I don't know why exactly but a guy who has been so loyal to a awful company but for the love of the animatronics and children getting murdered by them it's kind of poetic. I'm curious if you plan to do anything with the new FNAF book that tells us about phone guy (the week before interactive book) I think it's worth to read 😊
i always thought that william's 'object in his hand' was just his hand. why would it be the same color as the rest of his body?
MY theory: Phone guy is micheal. Micheal loves foxy. He wears his foxy hat everyday. And phone guy knew the incident. So he was there. Who said there was a newspaper about the bite of 83? And phone guy ALSO LOVES foxy. He brings it up every time
Makes no sense michael would call himself
@@creativenamesmth so by that logic michael is autistic LMFAO
My theory is that fnaf 2 took place before fnaf 1 like we already know.i think that the day shift was already taken so jeremy was told to go to the old location due to it still not being closed down.Since phone guy knew you he kept on giving you messages on tapes. on night 4 he died but he told jeremy to go to the new location where phone guy worked to check the suits. but idk it just seams like it to me
My theory was that Jr’s was a restaurant that Henry had made after the murders but just like the fnaf 2 animatronics they would have a criminal system or overall a protocol against William because he knows that he killed his daughter. I think it’s completely valid that the green guy is phone guy because in fnaf 1 - 3 (I forgot) he mentions himself or someone getting turning down at the door of the restaurant. This also was good theory tho 👍.
I literally thought that object in the purple guys hands WERE his hands 💀
I think phone guy was a manager at the pizzeria and was was trapped inside the place somewhere in fnaf 1. In fnaf 2 he was alive and was not trapped but knew something was off about the animatronics and was trying to help your survive. In fnaf 1 at the other pizzeria he was trapped inside and prerecorded messages for you to survive. On night 4 he was killed and tells you specifically to check the Freddy suits because he knew he was going to get stuffed in them
I came up with a theory that doesn’t make sense if Phone Guy did indeed die in FNaF 1 but if he did survive I want to imagine Phone Guy is the in-universe rouge game developer that sought to ruin the image of the company that he almost died under through his experience in the different establishments and incidents he was aware of. It’s all likely just Scott using himself for a lack of other actors but the fact that he used himself in a photo of FNaF: Help Wanted to represent the rouge developer feels like it could be some connection to Scott as a self-insert of sorts. Just a fun thought to give Phone Guy more relevance.
Wait isn’t green guy like the dad of the kid who posses the puppet, Charlotte Emily? Whatever, he was the one that helped make it all.
yeah Henry
If I can remember, that green guy is actually Henry, Henry used to be a very good friend of William Afton, William and Henry were the two guys who made freddy fazbears pizzaria, Henry found out that William was bad, and he made his own pizzaria on his own
On Night 6 of FNAF 2, Phone Guy states ,"I'll probably take the night shift myself" on Night 7, when you finish the night, who's name do you see? Fritz Smith. We know Fritz cannot be Michael Afton as he was disguising himself as Jeremey and switched to dayshift. I believe Fritz Smith is the name of the Phone Guy.
I don't wanna be "toxic" but that's factually wrong, Fritz gets fired on night 7 so if Fritz was the Phone Guy, then he wouldn't be working at the FNaF 1 location
We can all agree that phone guy was gonna be purple guy for the first three games but then Scott threw in like 50 books trying to get a story ready for the fnaf movie. By the way Rest in RIP fnaf movie lol
No I don’t think so to be honest I don’t think Scott Cawthon was originally was going to make phone guy the purple guy
that actually doesn't make any sense because phone guy died by chica or bonnie but the purple guy died in a springbonnie suit which means they're a completely different people.
my life has been shattered. I have always thought that one sprite of purple guy just had a weird hand
Out of all the characters in fnaf, Phone Guy is my favorite character. Idk why, he’s just a normal guy who got stuck in an unfortunate situation.
This didn't age well, after the fnaf movie now we know that phone guy was indeed afton aka purple guy.
I had the same Theory in my Head :D
I swear, the phone guy, also does the intercom messages for Walmart.
I like to think he’s a clueless guy just trying to climb up the wrong ladder lol
I think that the green guy is actually Henry Emily.
Imagine if orange guy was the father of Gregory
for me the phone guy in FNAF 1 and 2 is the purple guy, and in the fourth night in FNAF 1 when the phone guy dies, that is the spinglock failure scene, so in the franchise he appears even if offscreen but at least not only in the minigame in FNAF 3
Green guy is Henry for telling William to leave by henry knows that it was him who killed the kids
Many speculate green guy is Henry as after this enraged William goes back and kills his daughter Charlotte for Henry to feel the same pain as him of losing a child but also to back this up is Charlottes death is outside jrs as it is raining and the puppet is inside
i think william killing charlotte out of rage would throw the timeline off because the game file for midnight moderist is "later that night". but i do agree with henry being green guy :)
I think phone guy is henry because phone guy knows so much about fnaf 2 animaronics because Henry is the person who built the animaronics in fnaf 2 and in fnaf 1 night 4 when there is knocking on his door it William
At 4:08 have this issue on the theory, because William Afton wasn’t just any employee, but the co-partner with Henry, while William Afton would still be the serial killer.
The fnaf lore has become so convoluted and annoying that we just want to go back to theories like: Phone guy is just a ex-employee, that's it
Phone guy's identity feels super odd to me because he's in fnaf 4 (or at least the fnaf 1 night 1 phone call is). It seems like Scott just forgot about him.
I like to think he's just an ordinary guy. I think Scott didn't realise how big the games would get, so killed PG off at the end of fnaf 1, only for him to be brought back in fnaf 2 (prequel) but now he's gone for good.
Green guy is Henry, The Co founder of Fredbears diner (other owner being william) he’s the one talking about burning the place to the ground at the end of fnaf 6. He also wasn’t let in because Henry was aware of what william was doing
It sucks that we may never hear Scotts sweet voice again from Fnaf, all because of a donation toward something that he believed in.
My theory is that, because it’s raining, William is wearing an orange raincoat
I just realised something.. why would phone guy take on nightguard duty despite his evolvement with the franchise in the 1980s? What I think the reason is quite simple, the haunting had occured only a week prior the event of the second five night at freddy which was believed to be a hardware malfunction affecting the toy animatronics programing. Once the restaurent closed he most likely was one of the few remaining segnor employees which transfered to the new location where the first game take place. Because fazebear intertainement decided to reuse the older animatronic which contained the corpses and spirit of the previous missing children incident, the location became cursed aswell and had to be closed. After enormous layoff and consecutive quiting because of the mascots weird behavior in 1993 he took the mater in his own hand where he'd meet his ultimate demise near the end of his shift. It is very likely he worked more than five nights at freddys
I’ve actually had a theory that the phone guy is games version of John from the book trilogy for a while
Trying to kill henry for kicking out William
I like this I originally thought that phone guy was at the 1st location and then moved to the second location. Phone guy was definitely told not to let William in by any means. This theory works more when you think about it.
Green dude is definitely the other original fazbear owner that isn't afton, obviously can't remember his name, but while it's not like, stated, it seems pretty clear that no one else would know why afton couldn't go in or want to keep him out that badly. Fun theory, unless phone guy is the dude who burns fnaf 6 down, it can't be true. Good video tho!
Like afton is a sociopathic psychopath with no problems making suits to be someone else. There's no reason he couldn't have just tricked an employee who didn't know him that well, but the other guy would definitely know him right away.
Could Jrs be Jeremy's? In my mind,Jeremy is possibly an older remade version of crying child, hired as a security guard and welcomed to the family on his paycheck. If he died on night 1, why is there a check? I think he was rebuilt again with another set of memories and made into a franchisee, and beta tester. When he died by Glitchtrap's influence spilling black goo, Vannessa took his place as all 3 of these things: Afton successor/body to swap into when returning, beta tester, franchisee (Fnaf 6's restaurant) and security guard for one of the locations. After he was bitten a second time (in my theory), his conscience would migrate to Gregory somehow, and retain his knowledge as a security guard surviving a night vs these animatronics as well as his knowledge of the missing children incident. Again a child, he would have to sneak into the pizzerias and try to hack the system he himself was overun by when his dad brainwashed him via Fnaf VR beta testing. This determination to stop the disappearances almost makes me want to say Jeremy and Michael are almos one and the same...both robotic versions of his offspring seeking to right Aftons wrongs once and for all. If not twins, could they temporarily even be the same person?
Why would the survival logbook ask Michael if he remembers his name? Was is different before? And the 'carousel ride' and purple telephone mentioned as favorite toys? Could crying child have become both Michael and/or Jeremy in diferent moments of the timeline? After all, when baby sees Michael he doesn't recognise him.wouldnt she,if he was her brother? What if he looks different? What if he was now looking like a Jeremy, with a new skin suit? If not an amatronic, how could he have survived the scooping? Why did Baby know he would survive? Because he already had, and several times. He may call himself mike, but indeed, is that even his real name? It's only on checks (like Jeremy's) and the screen in the very sister location. If there WAS a Mike, hence his name on the sticker there, could the one entering sister location 'be Jeremy' now, unable to remember his name, or viceversa? Curious how the screen in sister location doesn't let us type our name...is is not Michael? I believe not, Michael became Jeremy by that point.
Dude i love fnaf lore, like no other game to know fnaf lore people must discover more and more its pretty fun
Shout out to me from 5 years ago when I "theorized" that phone guy and purple guy were brothers or in some way related due to their initials. You know, P. G.
Green guy is Henry Emily telling William Afton he's no longer allowed in the pizzeria because of the suspicion around Afton for the children's murders
Phone Guy just recorded the survival tips right before He dies from his own tips
Such a legend (No Need to thanks me)
Well from me I genuinely think that the boss of the freddy fazbear company is phone guy
I always thought they just didn't know how to make hands so he got this big ass hand
Ok but I have my own little theory here it is. Why did Phone guy have such loyalty to the company some examples, never putting them to police, helping all new security guards even when he stopped working there, and if helping them was the last thing he could do it would be it. I think those two people were two diff people possibly micheal and William and William doesn’t let him in because of 83. So phone guy could be a friend of William or micheal maybe a uncle or cousin but I’d like to see your take on my theory?
I think green guy is either Henry Emily or Michael afton, as both of them would not allow William afton into any fredbears franchise after the missing children cases. Specifically Michael afton
Michael Afton is the Grey Guy at the couch sitting in front of the tv when you got back home.
I feel like the cut scene from fnaf 2, since if you brighten up the freddy mask it’s purple is phone guy, there’s zero evidence but what if that’s what the animatronics shoved phone guy in and why he doesn’t attack you in the game as well.
Huh? What are you talking about?
I had a stroke reading this
That green guy is Henry, Williams close friend that made Fazbear's pizzeria and since Williams was killing innocent kids Henry was mad about it, then William got into the spring lock Bonnie and he got crushed in it bc it was moist and Henry left him there suffering 😂 and I forgot what happened after that part but also Henry made toy animatronics
I wanted to say that the green guy is Henry Emily, or the other founder of freddys. Green guy telling will to go is because he knows he killed the kids
i like how the thumbnail just features micheal and william
fun fact: Scott Cawthorn is the voice actor of phone guy in FNAF 1 and 2, 3
I believe that is Henry Emily. This was the fnaf 2 location from 1987. the first location was closed because of the missing children's incident. since William was the major suspect Henry made this location and made sure William never made it into the location. Also, the game in fnaf 1 takes place in another location opened later in 1993 with the original animatronics. so phone guy dying at the end of fnaf 1 would still make sense
I love how purple guys sprite be lookin like ET
The purple guy is the phone guy you only need to see 2 evidence
1) If you take a close look at purple guy's hand you'll notice that it's the shape of a telephone I mean why would Scott Cawthon the developer of the game make his hand shape like telephone instead of just normal hand? Answer because it is a hint that the phone guy is the purple guy.
2) In one of the mini game of FNAF 2 where Foxy needs to see the children he's from the pirate's cove & you'll see purple guy smiling at him proving what the phone guy said in FNAF 2 night 2 that Foxy was his favorite.
when i first saw the midnight motorist minigame i thought JR’s was a bar tbh
Which location would Jr’s be though? It can’t be fnaf 2 since if orange guy is William Afton, his son would be dead, and the fnaf 2 location opened in 1987. Since his son is still alive, it has to be in 1983.
1983 was everything closed after the bite
How did phone guy work at the same location as Mike twice?
My theory: phone guy IS THE PHONE! Here me out! Animatronics have voices. Why can’t phone have voice. It would know about all the animatronics and their behaviors because IT WAS THERE WATCHING THEM.
FNAF 1's Purple Guy is William Afton ffs.
1:00 purple guy is not holding a wrench is just his hand every people could do that
Why even make a theory, phone guy was just a employee who got killed in Fnaf 1, with no identity, only as a guide. The green guy most likely stands for Henry Emily, and him not wanting to work with William anymore, thats why he wants William to leave
Those first two years of fnaf were the best
What if phone guy was a secrect investor in the fnaf games and found out about it took a job to cover up everything
FNAF 3 song afton is seen holding an axe, idk if canon but the 'phone like thingy' could be an axe
Remember the times, when everyone thought that whole FNAF is dream. And phoneguy was Father of the kid. Now there is too many unanswered questions.
