But even so, I don’t regret the decision much. Every iphone is gonna be better than the last and this year’s model is no different. I take a lot of photos of K’nex, Lego, hair, and clothes. Going from the XS to 15 Pro is better in every way. Finally, no over sharpening, which kept the XS looking very good compared to many newer iPhones, so much that I didn’t feel like upgrading. No one mentioned this, but the screen is way way brighter, with better viewing angles and contrast (yes noticeably better contrast even though it’s oled to oled). Brightness of LCD, with performance of OLED. It really feels like no compromise.

    Traded a bit of durability for comfortability and repairability. The rear glass is easier to remove now, so it's much cheaper to replace. I mean I wish it was stronger, BUT I also am not going to purposefully bend my phone with my entire strength, and I also use a case on my phone so I am not really worried about my phone breaking. It is still super strong, even if it's a little less strong than last year.

      Realistically, you're not going to be able to tell a difference in performance between an iPhone 12, or maybe even earlier, and a 15 Pro. The year over year CPU performance improvements are mostly just for longevity and scalability to the M series.
      The GPU improvements could actually start mattering, though, with AAA games coming to iPhone, but we'll have to see about that.
      Honestly the one part of the SoC that probably makes the most difference these days is the neural engine. I noticed that Face ID for example is faster and can cope with more edge cases/angles on my 15 Pro than the 13 I upgraded from, and other ML tasks seem significantly improved as well.

    I watched quit a few camera comparison videos and I wouldn’t say it’s that much better. HDR5 is better and the default 24 mp helps, but you can set your 14 Pro to 48 HEIF now. Colors are mostly the same if you update to ios 17. A little less over processing has been applied to older models. Night mode’s a little better and HDR a little better. With setting adjustments, everything else is nearly identical. And the main lens is the same Sony sensor as last year.

    I still have the xs max and I was really looking for an upgrade. I think I'm gonna go with the next storage option above the base one just to future proof a little bit, would have went with 512 but that's too expensive for me

    Yup I hate the fine woven case. I was one day out of my return period to send it back. Apple was smart about sending it out so quick before the phone

    Is the 15 Pro like the 13 Pro for the “Perfect iPhone” category?

    This is why I prefer the sharp edge glossy stainless steel from the previous phones. Feels more comfortable to me, feels really cool and premium.

    From windows mobile to Iphone 1 to android fan boy for years and years I switched 2 years ago to the 13pro max just simply because of it just always works and feels fast! I never notice it lagging I pick up my old android sometimes and I'm surprised at how slow it really is.

And I love it all! Thank u Jon Prosser. If we hung out I’d always refer to you as Jon Prosser and I think most would agree!

    Great video Jon, actually completely agree with the you on almost all of your points. I still feel the need to use a case but my case has a stand built-in so I don’t feel that titanium anger. I do love how much lighter it is the the 14pro. Battery still stinks.

      I really don't get why so many people are saying things like this when, in battery tests, they almost always rival or beat the competition. Do all phones have bad battery life then? if so, what exactly makes it bad?
      I have a feeling people don't know that screen brightness is the biggest battery draw in most phones right now, and leave auto brightness on or keep the screen brightness really high, then complain when their phone dies before they go to bed.

      It was a good video, just dont know why he assumes every person that gets the iphone 15 pro is going to go caseless just like he does lol. Legit everyone has a case on their iphone

    Another fantastic video I love the last few videos like this you’ve done. Cutting through all the rubbish that so called techies on social media platforms have been saying. You want to protect your phone buy a case - just not the new Apple ones 😄. Keep up the good work looking forward to the next one in this style

    I have to agree with the camera - my iPhone 14 Pro always would kinda stutter when processing and image - iPhone 15 Pro is just blazing fast.
    Also Usb C is amazing

    I can agree with the force of putting and taking out the case. If you put that apple silicone case, that shit stays on. No slip outs

    The Action button UI is very overkill, I agree. I would prefer to be able to assign more than one thing to the button (single click, double click, click and hold, triple click) instead of a stupid UI that I will hardly ever see and takes up storage space on my phone.

    Shortly after the announcement of the new phones, I made a comment on one of Sam’s Apple Track videos, saying it didn’t feel like I would be getting much of an upgrade from my 12 Pro Max, going to a 15 Pro. My assumption was very wrong. I thought I was mainly getting a better form factor and little in the way of functionality improvement; this was wrong, I was incorrect. I love the new phone; I think I feel like it’s a better step up than when I went from a 6+ to the X or even X to 12 Pro Max. Plus the natural titanium color is…just the best!

    19:03. The 14 plus was the same way last year with the more reparable glass and it did not break. The theory I am hearing is that the titanium is too strong and not flexing a bit with the glass like the aluminum or even the steel and that is why it is breaking.

    • @Teluric2
      @Teluric2 8 месяцев назад

      Are you aware that Apple should have tested that?

    • @Melchirobin
      @Melchirobin 8 месяцев назад

      @@Teluric2 They likely did. I have heard other back glasses breaking more easily in drops which is due to increased reparability but not due to the pressure being applied like what Zach did. I’m guessing Zach just got a lemon and that it was just a bad unit.
