After spending 2 weeks with the iPhone 15 Pro and another 2 weeks with the 15 Pro Max, I think I was able to do a good amount of testing to be able to share my thoughts.

What do you guys think of the iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max? Did you get one? 😊
Switched from 13 Pro Max to 15 Pro and I’m enjoying the form factor so far. Not into mobile gaming so the screen size is just right for me. The battery life is good enough to get me through the day. The pro variant is way more comfortable to use than the pro max, for me.
I did. I went from the 14 Pro Max to the regular 15
Pro. So refreshing! It is the perfect size. I feel that creatively the 3x is more useful than a 5x. So I don't feel like I am missing out.

Similar boat for me. I upgraded from a 12 Pro to a 15 Pro Max. Ended up returning the max for a 15 Pro. I wasn’t really using the 5x and the size was just cumbersome enough to make me miss the more one-handable normal size. Super happy with the 15 Pro.

I have been using an iPhone XS for about 5 years ( I upgrade about every 5 years)and I am looking to upgrade. I have (pick up tmr) chosen the 15 pro because of size and I did think about the pro max, but really, the pro is the sensible choice in my opinion for ergonomics alone. As for the battery ;life that I am hearing about, I don't think that I will have any issues with this at all, but I am curious about power banks as I have never owned one or even needed one. Yep, the 15 pro with a uag case is the sensible choice for me.
Yeah.. Just not being able to reach the other end with a thumb, is a deal breaker.
The 5x is only useful in traveling some other rare times you need to get closer to a subject. The 3x is sweet spot

Polished. Upgrading from the 13PM, and after watching your video, definitely going to go with the 15Pro. I’m tired of the larger PM form factor and agree on your views of the 3x vs 5x camera zoom. I WFH, so the battery life will be a rare consideration for me, which I will probably solve with a MagSafe battery pack if needed. Thank you for a well rounded review!

Oh I notice how much nicer, lighter and smaller it feels in the hand even with a case on. I was wanting to go with the smaller Pro for the first time because I was over how big the Pro Max felt. Thank god I didn’t! And yeah that 120hz is what made me make the switch to iPhone with the 13 Pro max. Loving the acation button too, I have it set to open up video camera. I have battery set to charge to 80% and at the end of my day I still have 50ish %! I went with the natural titanium in 1tb to match my ultra 2. I’m so in love with these two pieces of tech. It’s amazing!

I have the 15P and I'm getting twice your SoT. For real. I 've just came back from my second trip with it and after heavy use, +300 pictures in RAW (most of them 48MP) in a day, Apple Pay, flight boarding passes, WhatsApp, Instagram, etc. I got into the plane at 7pm with 40% battery. 32 cycle count right now, and still 100% maximum capacity.

I like how you make the comparison so easy to watch, while giving very practical and real life advices. I have upgraded my 7+ (finally after 7 years!) to 15P; was thinking if I should go with 15 PM ( in case I am going to have it for 7years 😂). Your video makes feel 15P is the right choice.

I’m in the same boat. I have a 7+ still and have been contemplating between the P or PM. the difference in Canada is $300 but I think the P is the smart choice if you’re just a regular person.
The only disadvantages of 15 pro is the battery life.Besides, it is a perfect phone, especially I really enjoy its one-hand size feature.Hopely in the future, apple could improve pro model battery problem. Nice review🎉

I have Sony A6700 camera so when I wanted to go higher then 3x the camera’s lenses would be a better fit then paying the extra $$ for the 15Pro Max. Upgraded from 12P to 15P, and have nagging uncertainty about whether I should have gotten the 15P Max. Your video helped me feel better about the 15P, especially the camera comparisons at 3X and 5X. Surprised to see how good the 15P is at 5X.

@@JonImperial probably because at 3x 15 Pro is using telephoto lens while 15 Pro Max is using the main camera (at 3x digital zoom) and at 5x 15 pro is using digital zoom(1.6x) on 3x telephoto giving better results
This is actually the first year I’ve tried the max model, and I definitely don’t see myself returning to the standard size, you should give it a try

The only thing that still makes me think is the 5x zoom since I’m gonna watch The Eras Tour next year, and maybe it’s gonna be useful for zooming in. But aside from that I think I might be getting iphone 15 pro only since it’s more “pocketable” and 5x zoom is not that needed on a daily basis ☺️

Very useful video. I'm going with the Pro for the ergonomics, I think that you make a great point about having a power bank, it will probably not be needed most of the time, and you don't have to sacrifice the ergonomics 100% of the time, as it would happen with the Pro Max.
I agree with you and I am choosing the 15 pro also mainly because of ergonomics and the pro is a sensible. I still have an old 4s here and I never thought that it was too small at the time.

Assigning additional actions to the action button is wonderful especially when using variable press functions such as long press or double press. And if there's an additional action button then this will increase the fun or excitment with even more press variables or functions. 😎💯💪🏾👍🏾 Adding a 5x zoom on the smaller, base iPhone will be a fantastic idea because not everyone will like to own a bigger phone so catering for everyone is smart. But I absolutely believe the bigger phones will always sell despite those who prefer a smaller model. 😎💯💪🏾👍🏾

Polished 👌🏾 Love your video. I have a 15 Pro myself and I love it. It’s first time using this small form factor coming from Pro Maxs and I totally love. Only thing I miss is the battery life of the Pro Maxs. But with my MagSafe battery pack from I’m good to go. There’s just something so right about the 6.1 inch size. 😊😊

I brought the 15 Pro. As an iPhone Mini fan this iPhone is pretty much perfect. And the screen is amazingly bright. I just love this iPhone. The battery easily lasts all day for me.

I have a iphone 13 base model (and have no plans for upgrading to the 15s) and was curious to see the difference between the Pro phones this time & how utilised the type-c port is. the camera comparison was super cool and detailed for someone who's a little into casual phone photography! Solid review. I was trying to figure out which one I wanted. Picked up the iPhone 15 Pro two days ago. I'm happy with it so far. Then again, I'm coming from the 11 Pro so either one of the 15's would have been a huge upgrade.

Excellent video. I initially went with the 15 PM thinking the 5x would make a huge difference and also not realizing it sacrificed 3x quality shots. I just assumed it was the same as the smaller 15 Pro with the addition of looking better at when you went past 3x. What ended up being the real dealbreaker was its size. I just couldn't get used to its large size so I returned it for the smaller 15 Pro and have been very happy since I did that.
My battery lasts me all day (which for me is 7 am to around 11 pm) with enough room to spare and even on heavy use days I never have battery anxiety and since I tend to shoot pics in the 1x to 3x range more I'm technically getting better shots than the 15 PM. Even when I got past 3x the quality diff isn't drastic to where I feel like I'm missing out. Both are excellent phones, but I just love having a smaller variant.

Terrific video! My last gigantic-phone was the 6S Plus. Since then I’ve tried friends’ gigantic phones, and the trade offs of battery life and sometimes better camera features aren’t worth the uncomfortable (to me) size and difficulty handling/using the phone.
It’s refreshing to see & hear someone else that feels the same as I do: Pro Max phones are great, but sometimes we should just pick the version that fits us and our needs. I’m not a creator like you, but I rarely if ever need 5x zoom - when I traveled internationally last in ‘19 and west coast in ‘20, the 3x was plenty for the handful of times I “needed” it.

@@JonImperial Yep I did, iPhone 15 Pro in Natural Titanium, 256GB. My work let me upgrade my old iPhone 12 (plain), so for work I have an iPhone 15 Pro in Blue Titanium (256GB). Blue is nice, but am glad I chose Natural Titanium for my personal phone. Am in the midst of my (seemingly) never-ending quest to find the perfect case. Am up to 4 already. 😑

My first time watching one of your videos and I’m so grateful! I don’t know much about technology. Since I’m a new Grandma I just wanted to get a phone with the best camera that iPhone has. I just made the assumption that the IPhone Pro Max would be the best. I ordered it from Verizon….however I soon realized that I accidentally ordered the pro and not the pro max. I decided to try 15PM coming from 12P. I am lovin it so far. Bigger screen and 5x zoom are great! But most impressed by battery life. My avg screen time is 3h. I charge upto 80% only and can use it for two whole days lol ! But with the bigger size and my tiny hands, I miss using it one handed, but got used to it. Also don't find it heavy inside pockets.

This was an excellent review! I too had the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. Even though I loved the PM size for content consumption and the larger battery, I ultimately stuck with the 15 Pro for comfortability and practicality. I took a phone call on the PM and it was wayyy too big. Downright silly. Your camera tests proved what I was having trouble justifying for the PM. When I wanted 3x on the PM it looked terrible. And it was digitally cropping most of the time unless the lighting was perfect which was annoying. Losing out on quality between 2x-5x zoom on the PM was not ideal either. Transparently, I had the 14 Pro, but the 15 Pro had enough improvements for me to justify upgrading; Better HDR5, better connectivity, a more comfortable and lighter design, USB-C that I can use with my drum mixer, and ProRES LOG…Couldn’t be happier with the 15 Pro! Also, you have yourself a new subscriber! Looking forward to seeing more videos from you!

@@AceCmbatguy25 I’ve always wanted a ‘Max’ size phone for as long as I could remember. I finally pulled the trigger this time round and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The size just feels perfect, not to mention the noticeable increase in battery life, more screen estate etc etc, I think you won’t regret it!

I had a messed up 12 mini before I went for the 15 pro because I don’t really use my phone so much. With the 15 pro I end the day with about 50% to 60% enough to last me the next day. I work a lot too so I didn’t see the need for the pro max. If you use your phone a lot go for the pro max.

I have a 12 pro max and wish it had more zoom but find it a bit too big and bulky and difficult to fit in jeans pockets. Not sure which to get. I saw the Pro 15 5x was good enough but what about 7 or 8x? Is it much worse? I find when I want to zoom it's usually more than 5x and more like 6-8x.

Switched to 15 pro from XR and feels like century uprgrade for me in terms of display, camera, performance and literally everything. The jump to 120 Hz screen from 60 Hz is such a welcoming change.

Used the 15 Pro for almost 2 weeks, now using the 15 Pro Max for a couple days now. I actually really enjoy the Max and have large enough hands to use it one handed. But a case makes it a little too bulky. Not too sure if I’ll keep it. But it’s the phone that gives me the least frustration to use on a daily basis. I can see it easily and type easily.
What did you decide on? I had the Pro Max and noted it but once I slapped a case on it, it was definitely less enjoyable like you said
I’m upgrading from an IP11 to the IP15P, I was really worried if I had made the right choice and that I should have bit the bullet for the pro max, this video has made me feel way more confident in my purchase

Thank you very much for the video. I'm trying to figure out since weeks what to do and in every other video I watched I found stupid comparisons (for example a portrait with the 3x and the 5x shot at the same distance so obviously one is of half body and the other of the face only and you can't compare) but you made a useful one. I think I will go for the Pro even if I'm very tempted from the Max. But I think the same of you, the 3x is more useful in the real life situations and the 5x is too much, for my needs obviously. Thank you!!! I wanted natural but it seems unreachable. I ordered one days ago but I had to change it for the black one in order to receive the phone the next week. I'm not happy at all. I always had a black phone and this year I wanted the natural and maybe it was worth the wait. So maybe I made a mistake. But I think that the Pro is the way to go, at least for me.

15 Pro Max is the phone to get this year. It feels smaller and lighter then last year’s model. Good enough for one hand use. The battery is significantly better on the pro max as well. And the 5x lens in my opinion is fun to use.
It really depends on the user, but for people who are intrigued by the 15, this is definitely a good time to test it out!

Fair play to you. I went from the iPhone XS Max to the iPhone 12 Pro.. I absolutely have regretted going smaller and finally after a couple years I can upgrade back to the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

@@JonImperial mainly because it was cheaper if I’m honest! I did think about the size and thought I’ll get used to it. But honestly I just miss that “Max size”, whereas you are used to that one hand experience, I’m used to two.. I also found that I make more typos while texting because even now im still not used to it being smaller 😅 but I must say that the Pacific Blue is one of my favourite colours!
I purchased the 15 Pro. It is the perfect size with a case on it for single handed use. Adding a well protecting case to the Pro Max makes the Pro Max unwieldy for single handed use.
I agree with that. The 15 Pro Max isn’t difficult to use one-handed, but with a case, it’s definitely more challenging.
