I upgraded from 13 mini to 15 pro at launch and have not regretted it. The 15 pro is far superior, don’t miss the 13 mini.

What do you think about the battery, is it good or not?
@@moamenmoamen2240 bro I am getting 7 hours sot on 40% brightness 4G LTE. Not much navigation, no gaming. A lot of Spotify, Instagram and RUclips/Netlfix. Phone calls maybe like 1 hour a day with 15-20 mins video call on avg.

Bro even I did the same from 13 mini to 15 pro max, but mini is always a gem in my heart and will keep it as show piece as the best small iphone ever.

I did the same transition, and I do not regret it. The photos that I have been far greater than other phones that I have used; iPhone 13 Mini and S23 Ultra, to the 15 Pro.

I went from 13 Pro to 15 Pro and have zero regrets. Lighter device and USB c were the main draws for me.

Great video! One thing tho moving an ssd around is completely fine. It has no moving parts in it.
I think the 128GB prores limitation applies to iPhone 14 pro / pro max too still, and I don't think it'll be patched at all.

Awesome vlog man! Looking forward to your other vlogs! PS I've just ordered a 15 Pro 256GB for my Aunt as a birthday gift :) She has a 7 year old SE at present - battery life still at 93%!!! It's been a damn good iPhone :) PS I have the 14" MacBook Pro M2Pro 1TB. It's simply beautiful isn't it!
Your aunt will be so happy! MacBooks are another level, I still have the M1 Pro and loving it.
Great video. I wanted to point out two things:
1. It's not just Log, but also standard Apple ProRes can't be recorded if you only have 128GB. In prior iPhones you can't record them at all beyond 1080p without upgrading to at least 256GB. I tested an external Sandisk 128GB SD Card, and I can only shoot up to 13-ish minutes of Apple Log on a clean disk. This probably means half of that internally on a 128GB phone, that's why Apple disabled it. You might end up unexpectedly using all of your storage. I don't agree with this decision, but I wanted to point that out that your prediction probably won't come true.
2. It's annoying to have something dangling out, but moving your SSDs around aren't actually bad for them. They're not like mechanical hard drives with spinning disks that are susceptible to bad sectors and such if you jog them too much.
I am using a Trancend ESD310 SSD that can be connected directly to the iPhone without a dangling cable. But that setup up only works because I am recording in 24 frames ProRes LT to keep the data rate down and are keeping my recordings below 5 minuts. I believe that it would otherwise become to hot.
With the Blackmagic app you can record in h.265 internally.

How do you feel about the 3x camera choice vs the 5x on the Max? Your 3x footage looked pretty nice.
3x was impressive, 5x would be just as great I feel. I chose the Pro version because extreme zoom is not particularly my style of shooting. 3x seems to be enough for me.

It felt lighter for me but i had a 13 pro then had some time with an s23 ultra but found that way too big and Samsung has to do some work with the cameras in low light it's too grainy compared to iphone. I opted for the black titanium as well it's a beautiful phone it looks so sleek and professional in black.

Greta video man! I have both the 15 Pro and Pro Max to test run both. I love the comfortability of the Pro, but the battery life is so-so. The PM’s battery is better, but the comfortability esp. with a case is not ideal esp. when going running. I use my iPhones for photography and street videography. I saw in the comment section that you mentioned having a new video coming out about battery life…Will it be before Tuesday because that’s when I have to return one of the phones. Unless you have any advice and insight before then 😅 Thanks man! Respect the hustle for these videos. All the best!

@@alexv8203 The 15 Pro. I use the phone one handed a lot and it’s way more comfortable. Plus, I didn’t want to lose equality on 2x-5x compared to the PM’s.
I had 14 pro max and I just got 15 pro max I love it 😍

Using the Fuji XT-4 with a custom built rig with mainly Small Rig parts. And no gimbal on the iPhone.

Why don't you use a magsfe power bank and stick the usb drive to it. It prevents the battery drain and the drive hanging around.
With a 15 pro 128gb, after plugging in an ssd would i be able to shoot at 4k 30, or is it capped at 1080 30 like the 14 pros 128??

With blackmagic app u can record 4k prores 60 fps with color log to internal drive
A phone case with an M.2 SSD slot would be a nice solution for that "dangling storage" issue.

Thanks so much for watching. I got the 128gb, found out about the log recording limits after. I am not a fan of returning stuff… I am confident that we’ll get an ios update unlocking log recording without external though. Almost pretty sure about it!

Do you use a LUT to color grade the footage or are these manually graded?
Base correction lut, and lots of manual adjustments!
Say something on heating issues and battery life as well.. That might assist me to prioritize 15 pro.

Would you recommend to buy the 15 pro now or wait until the 16? (I got the normal 13 now)
If your 13 is in good condition and don't need LOG video, keep it until 16 releases in my opinion.
I love this video. Thank you for sharing. If I may add, when you speak some of the plosives “P” sounds are a bit aggressive in my AirPods. I have to turn the volume down. A way around this is by using a pop filter when you record your voice overs. I do not mean to offend. Just wanted to add a little value to an already fantastic video.

ProRes Log eats your battery. I am usually always around in my car so I can keep charging my phone. If you are gonna be without a powersource for long periods maybe go with Pro Max. But yes, I love the size of Pro.

Do you set an exposure of -0.7 for your videos as well or only your photos?
Because I am shooting raw it does not matter too much for the lighting conditions I am shooting with. Video I rather shoot a little brighter for LOG shooting purposes.

real truth - for such ordinary simple Vlog , iPhone 13 mini camera is more than enough )) I am also upgrading from 13mini to 15pro, but only because of the screen (size, 120hz, brightness)

If you want the same performance and camera and battery lasts longer better if go for the iPhone 15 plus

Do you have any idea why the quality of posting photos on instagram storys get so compressed? If i upload the same sony a7iii photo from my samsung into storys, save the story and then post it i always get very sharp storys but if i do the exact same with the iphone 15 pro max the sharpness and good quality is gone.. maybe someone already figured out if there is a solution

I think we’ve chatted on Instagram about this after you commented. For those who are also having the same issue; check to see if you have high quality uploads on in the settings, export jpegs, upload with strong connection, drop the export quality to about 70% and see if it still compresses.

Kind of wishing I did, I found out the limit after I got the phone! I do like storing on SSD as it's more convenient for storage purposes.
