Apple's new iPhone 15 vs. iPhone 15 Pro: It's like choosing between a cheeseburger and a cheeseburger with extra cheese
15:23 I agree it's a decent upgrade compared to what the 14 was, but the 12 was by far the biggest upgrade for the non pro iPhones. Its when they finally gave it OLED and thinner bezels, which gave it a vastly sleeker and premium design over the 11. Also the switch to Qualcomm modems alone made some serious improvements in connectivity, even with 5g aside.
This is why I upgraded from SE to 12 back then and now I will upgrade to 15 finally :)
12 was the best . I shouldn’t upgrade to anything else
12 megapixel camera to 48 megapixel. That’s a nice upgrade by itself.
Usually I think all iPhones are the same every year but if you got the 12 the 15 isn’t a bad upgrade tbh especially with that 48MP camera

Regular 15 is a way better value this year. Pro model is boring and not much different.
Bro be cranking out content. I love it! FYI it is not going to flop. I think y'all are missing the big picture. The headset is priced at people that will be beta tested. They will release a cheaper option later. This is the way.

15 plus feels like the way to go if you haven’t upgraded your phone in a while.
I think this will be the year i go Pro instead. My first iPhone was an iPhone 6 back in 2017 because it was cheap on a prepaid carrier and remained up to date. Then the 11 in 2019, which really felt like just the XR with a wide camera. The 13 I think was the last time we had a base model phone feel almost exactly like the flagship minus 120Hz and a telephoto lens. I've enjoyed my 13 a lot, but my use case is leaning more prosumer than before. Combining my want for the best video features possible with the lack of USB 3 on the standard 15, I am probably going 15 Pro. Looking forward to seeing how well it plays with fast external storage as well as pro audio gear for creating content for livestreams directly from the phone. Also, every other device I use has a higher refresh rate than 60Hz now and it makes a world of a difference to me not having it. Disappointing we didn't even get 90Hz on the 15 this year, even if they didn't do LTPO/Always On.
Was debating between the pro and the 15. Went to Japan for a trip and wanted to buy there because all apple products are way cheaper there. The Pro was literally impossible to buy for lack of availability and general difficulty to get, so I went with the base 15 and got it almost 400+ USD cheaper than what I would've paid for the pro if I bought it where I live. The price is really what drove my decision.
can you please do a review ASAP comparing the camera (video & photo) and a general comparison between what these 3 phones offer - the regular 15, the 14 pro and s23. i need to decide between these phones before early oct lol
Great work Sam! But I just want to point out that in the keynote, Apple specified that the Pro models have the same display size, but a slightly smaller footprint. So it’s not bigger than earlier models, but slightly smaller!
I think Sam mixed this up in the last video as well. A little misleading. I understand how it could happen when trying to quickly push these uploads out though. Gotta tighten it up Sam lol!
I like Apple’s design decision with this. I know the difference in measurement specs is subtle at best but it’s a nice touch along with the slightly more curved design. Good steps towards being more comfortable to use.
I am all for a smaller phone whilst having the same screen size... Good call Apple!
I am definitely looking at an iPhone 15 pro. I do a lot of photo shooting and Video taking when I go to sporting event and I also do a lot of training videos for a family member who is a big train enthusiast who is not able to use a Phone on his own. The only thing I do not like about the promax is, how can you put it in a pair of pants pocket without having it fall out on the ground? The action button looks really cool! It’s better than the mute switch.
I think you need some new zip pants. But for what your using the phone for id definitely get the 15 pro max. Just try it with some zip pockets you’ll be fine

They should have kept deep purple for 15 pro.
That was the ugliest color. It was the first one I ordered when I first got my 14 pro max and honestly it was ugly. Returned it and got the space black instead which was way better. This year however I’m getting the new gray color.

Right I have the deep purple. This color line up this year has to be the worse pro color line up ever really how many shades of blue are they going to keep getting and so many bland colors really need to step their game up in the colors.

I'm thinking about upgrading my iPhone 13 pro to the regular 15 mainly because I don't think I use any camera specs that are any different from what I would be using on the iPhone 15, I feel like if you think you would use the telephoto or you just like the bigger phone get a pro max

@@jackcowley8740 It totally could for people who may use there phone less or more they may need more battery life for more activity or more just to not charge as much. I personally love not having my phone in my case which is why I want the normal 15 because my 13 pro feels top heavy so I wonder how the new pros feel without the case since they are the lightest pro models released
I like the light pink color of the regular iPhone 15, but I hate that it has 2x zoom in 2023 (when I remember I had 3x zoom in Huawei p30 in 2019, their pro model that year had 5x zoom). I know now iPhone 15 Pro max has 5x zoom, but I don't like the colors, nor the price.
13 pro max here and I wanted to upgrade but it doesn’t seem much to convince me, I like to upgrade every 2 years but I think I’ll hold for the 16 this time

Same I have the 13 pro max, but getting the green 15 plus. I had to be honest with myself. I don’t use any of the pro max features that I thought I would use.
I have an iPhone XS Max, and the phone is definitely showing its age. Today and yesterday I tried to call people and it doesn’t go through. It would just hang up. So I would have to turn the phone off completely for a few minutes and turn it back on. After I did that I was able to make calls. However, I have been turning my phone off completely to clear up issues.
I'm just here stuck between getting a regular iPhone 15 or the pro just because I really want the new pink iPhone but at the same time, I really want the better camera quality as I love taking photos & recording footage on my phone and I've never got to try the pro yet. At end of day it's easy to get a pink iPhone case but i still want to be like "I got a pink iPhone from the pastel collection" 🤣🤣 Apple really did drop a bomb this year

The cameras are going to be pretty similar in the real world , there will be small differences but base model will take awesome photos pro just might be slightly better but you’d be surprised
I think the same battery values despite the 3nanometer chip come from the USB controller that sits on the chip

Hello! If i would buy the new iphone 15 or another device (apple watch, airpods) from the United States, would it work properly in any country of Europe? What about the warranty?
I always get a pro max, but I am so sick of Apple, giving the colored phones to the cheaper price tier. It’s like they don’t value the people who put in almost double the price for the phone I get yes you get the camera you get this but I get so sick of having to have a boring iPhone just because I want features.

Should I pick the iPhone 15 Pro or the iPhone 15 Pro Max? I’ve had the iPhone 12 Pro Max, which was a bit too heavy and uncomfortable for me to use, since it had the heavy stainless steel. But now, since the iPhone 15 Pro Max has a lighter weight due to the lighter Titanium material, and it has bigger and better screen and battery capacity and battery life, and the exclusive Camera features like 5X Periscope Zoom Lens Camera and the 256GB base storage compared to the 15 Pro’s 128GB base storage. Should I choose the iPhone 15 Pro or the iPhone 15 Pro Max?
And also, should I choose the Natural Titanium color or the White Titanium color for the iPhone 15 Pro Max? I like both colors, but the Natural Titanium is this year’s color and its the original Titanium color like the Silver was the Natural stainless steel color and not like the other repainted colors.
And is the 256GB enough storage this year? Because of the new camera features.

The iPhone is one gram lighter: It’s so much lighter than last years model. I’m pretty sure I won’t even notice the difference in weight.

Pro screens are not bigger, that was a rumor. Apple said they slightly shrunk the phone dimensions.
I have an iPhone XR so definitely going to upgrade to the 15 pro I’m unsure to get the pro or pro max as its a €200 difference for a bigger zoom and screen/res thats why I’m unsure about the pro max? which would ye recommend?
The Pro Max is bigger even than the XR, which I found to be on the limit for me. So I'm sticking with the Pro

For me it's simple: If you already spent 1100 euro's on a 15 Plus, why not spend 1500 euro's on a Pro Max with way better specs / features? Expensive or a little bit more expensive. So i go for the last option ;-)

I feel tempted to do Pro Max just because it’ll feel different from my Pro but feel like Pro Max will be too big for my needs. I don’t even care for the 5x zoom tbh. @@darionwilson3666 battery life has been very good since the last couple of updates.. No heating.. No unnecessary battery drains.. At night I have about 40% left after using it well all day.. And I don’t charge to 100%.. keep it around 90.. So that’s a very good number for me..
Just for your information “ aluminum it is not cheap and it is very durable “ not as much as titanium but it is . There is rifles made out of it.😊

I was afraid the price hike would be a lot worse, but I’ll probably trade my 256GB 14PM for a 15 of the same since I can get > $900 back, it makes it way more feasible for me and I think it was smart of Apple. Since the draw of the PM is the camera I really don’t think the smaller storage size was a big market share and then the price change is minimal because you paid the same thing last time. I would have been more out off if they tried to shrinkflate it by putting that price on the smaller storage

That’s a good smart upgrade though. People are upgrading from the 14 pro’s to the 15 pro’s, no reason in that. Going from 11 to a 15 is a big upgrade, I think that is worth it.

I want to know if the cases from the regular 14 will fit the new regular 15?!?! I have sooo many cases but I want to upgrade to the pink 15. However I spent like $400-$500 on cases and it would be such a waste to get a new phone if the cases don’t fit.
