Action button is cool, but being able to check if my phone is on silent just by feeling the switch even from my pocket is essential. If Apple could make it both a switch and a button, that would be incredible.
It should just be as easy to check if your phone is on silent with the action button like the commenter above said but I wouldn’t be mad at all if they did what you suggest with a hybrid button as well. It’d be pretty cool actually

Because 99% people doesn't care about refresh rate to their untrained eyes 60hz and 120hz are same thing. People rather have better battery and cameras than refresh rates or else Apple would've done it a lot earlier.
In fairness, iPhones and ipad run basically the same software and up until the m1 chips came out ran the same chips, so they kinda were already the same thing in many wayz
it looks the same, because it is just a very good phone and Apple want their good phone to be the same good as previous version :) so I think it is hard to do any major changes, because any major change can ruin a perfect design and there are a lot of risks. Many people just like what is looks now and they just don't want to change anything. People always tell that it is the same phone, but if we compare iphone 16 vs iphone 8 - we will find a lot of differences. So, it is the same, but still different.
There used to be a time where almost every phone had a capture button and the iPhone took it away. Now they are adding it back and calling it a "feature".
Apple gets complacent because of lower expectation from our side !!! its been 5yrs and no sign of actual design change and if you place all 5 phones next to each other facing the camera side a commoner or average person will hardly be able to differentiate between them !!! that's how bad it has gone into over the years !!!!

Think of it this way, if Steve Jobs thought the way you think… we’d probably still have blackberry and Nokia..and android would still be running on digital cameras. It’s not just the design… it’s overall lack of true innovation. Apple Vision Pro is amazing, for 20 mins. Great innovation yes, solid tech, but who really can wear that for more than 20-30 mins? I expect that WOW moment from Apple and it’s missing since a few years now.
I'm an android guy for the most part but honestly I'm impressed with how well Apple has shown their AI features. Im glad they are finally going to be rolling these features out and it'll be cool to see when it drops. Also It makes sense how they rolled it out, cause alot of other AI systems have been somewhat controversial. So I think they made the right move with slowly moving out their nueral features.

I you look back in the past even the "s" yrs had some minor design changes or brand new quality of life feature unlike nowadays where its just a very minor changes year after yr .

I think since the design won't change much it would be a major thing to if they made super thin bezels and make the dynamic island a bit smaller/thinner. I'm sure they can keep the same front facing cameras but make them smaller. That would give it a nice look.
Finger print sensor 🤡 They barely work. I have to punch in my password for my iPad mini all the time because Touch ID will refuse to read my barely sweaty hand

Has touch ID been completely abandoned or are there still thoughts it would come on a later phone? It's the main thing that would get me to instant upgrade. Face ID sucks for when your phone is sitting on your desk.

I love photography so I’m hoping Apple continues their trend of putting lots of effort into making the camera system in the 16 even better. If they do I think I will get the 16 Pro Max. Personally I’m not so sure about the capture button bearing in mind that we can already use the volume and action buttons as a capture button. I’m also excited about Apple Intelligence and being able to remove unwanted objects in the background just like google pixels.

As a photographer I think Apple needs to put in a full manual most like these android phones have aperture ISO exposure and not split them into features, but have them as a standalone full manual mode
I’m thinking that they maybe add Apple Pencil support on iPhone 16 series. Cuz at the WWDC24 they mentioned about handwriting calculations and MKBHD said that feature comes to iPhone’s aswell. Because of small screen (compared to an iPad) u can’t write things with ur finger. It would be like painting with mouse on a computer.
Is it worth to trade in my 14 Pro to 16 Pro or 16 Pro Max when they come out, or wait longer to upgrade? I have a regular 14 Pro from February 2023 with 88% battery health after a year and a half and don’t like the battery life and buggy experience (factory reset didn’t help)
I would say yes because the 14 pro is known with its “battery gate” where battery health degrades very fast, i just sold my 14 PM few days ago for the same reason, was losing 1% of battery health literally every month

@@satxrnhimself I did upgrade to the 15PM since i need a phone right now, im happy with my choice since the 16PM leaks we have so far don’t seem too exciting, 15PM is way lighter than my previous 14PM, feels a tiny bit snappier, camera is definitely better and battery life is very good! Speakers in the other hands are night and day difference, best speakers ive ever had on a phone. I would wait for the 16PM if you know you can afford it, if money will be an issue then save some bucks and go for the 15PM you won’t regret it.

So overall price with the 16 Pro Max for example with a trade in would be like 860$ instead of 780$ I think. After several years of iterations there will be older models for much cheaper that people will buy, especially if there are bundle deals.

You can just press the action button and it’ll vibrate three or so times it’s on and if it vibrates once it’s off

That is exactly who they copied. All iPhone buttons are an exact copy of the later-model Walkman buttons.
I want a mini pro with no pro feature segmentation. It’s always annoying to me when the bigger phone gets the better camera despite both being ‘pro’.

@@Rudggedthat’s because it’s old fingerprint ID. The newer androids have super fast and reliable fingerprint ID. Just watch someone unlock their s24 or oneplus 12 or pixel 8. Faster than Apple’s Face ID.

I just got the iPhone 15 and I hate how the camera takes less megapixel pictures as low as 1MP when it’s set to 24MP so I was disappointed

I love photography so I’m hoping Apple continues their trend of putting lots of effort into making the camera system in the 16 even better. If they do I think I will get the 16 Pro Max. Personally I’m not so sure about the capture button bearing in mind that we can already use the volume and action buttons as a capture button. I’m also excited about Apple Intelligence and being able to remove unwanted objects in the background just like google pixels.

As a photographer I think Apple needs to put in a full manual most like these android phones have aperture ISO exposure and not split them into features, but have them as a standalone full manual mode

I’m thinking that they maybe add Apple Pencil support on iPhone 16 series. Cuz at the WWDC24 they mentioned about handwriting calculations and MKBHD said that feature comes to iPhone’s aswell. Because of small screen (compared to an iPad) u can’t write things with ur finger. It would be like painting with mouse on a computer.

Is it worth to trade in my 14 Pro to 16 Pro or 16 Pro Max when they come out, or wait longer to upgrade? I have a regular 14 Pro from February 2023 with 88% battery health after a year and a half and don’t like the battery life and buggy experience (factory reset didn’t help)
I would say yes because the 14 pro is known with its “battery gate” where battery health degrades very fast, i just sold my 14 PM few days ago for the same reason, was losing 1% of battery health literally every month

@@satxrnhimself I did upgrade to the 15PM since i need a phone right now, im happy with my choice since the 16PM leaks we have so far don’t seem too exciting, 15PM is way lighter than my previous 14PM, feels a tiny bit snappier, camera is definitely better and battery life is very good! Speakers in the other hands are night and day difference, best speakers ive ever had on a phone.
I would wait for the 16PM if you know you can afford it, if money will be an issue then save some bucks and go for the 15PM you won’t regret it.

@@dodowow-mp8ji I can get like 800$ worth of my 14 Pro now, assuming it would be 700$ when the 16’s are coming out. So overall price with the 16 Pro Max for example with a trade in would be like 860$ instead of 780$ I think. (Prices are ridiculously high in my country for iPhones - the prices are like 1500-1600$ for only 256gb for the iPhone 15 pro max model

@@goldfishPACIFIER As he said in the video, it's more of a long-term strategy. The vision PRO is the early version, but like with iphones, the pro models become the standard models the next year. After several years of iterations there will be older models for much cheaper that people will buy, especially if there are bundle deals.
