Is the iPhone 15 Pro truly worth it? I've been loving my Max for over a month now, though that pricetag is still pretty tough to swallow- ultimately, it comes down to the individual, but this is a great phone and one I don't think people will regret buying. Anyone here using the iPhone 15 Pro? How's it going? Anyone thinking about upgrading?
My wife got scared of the news the 12 was putting out too much radiation…I personally think that was 15 marketing scare tactics…She got the 15 pro max. I’ve noticed the battery doesn’t last as long as the 12’s…I don’t get it.
coming from a low-mid range samsung (a52, non-5G, ~$350USD on release), I ordered a 15 Pro Max 256GB, and when it gets here i will try to remember to update this comment (edit, it’s here and yea it’s worth it)
Am using one, love the camera/action button other than the placement but I suppose that’s to keep it familiar. just downloaded resident evil village and so far it’s good, still seems a little low on graphics but if I could play more games at this quality I would. I feel like it’s a dream come true honestly already. I remember getting infinity blade way back when, thinking it was going to be like this lol. Also finally one cable to rule them all, only ever need a USB c cable. I have an external ssd but never really take videos, mainly still photos. Also really starting to notice the huge drop off in quality when taking pics on anything but the main sensor. night shots on the ultra wide have dim dim sides but that might just be physics with the angle of the light. It doesn’t even try to use the 5x sensor at night it just punches in 5x on the main sensor. Just wish there was parity between the sensors because that 1x is amazing all the time
100%, the old 2-year cycle of upgrading phones definitely has turned into 3 years I think at this point. 2021 iPhone 13 Pro is still a super solid smartphone right now, but upgrading from the 2020 12 Pro would be worth it imo.
Same. Got myself an 8 Plus in late 2019 & then upgraded in late 2022 to a 13 Pro. I’ll give it 2 or even 3 more years before I upgrade to something better
I upgraded from a mid-range android to this Pro Max. Needles to say I'm stunned by the amazing performance and very long lasting battery, but what does it for me is the ecosystem, I just wanted the Pro Max because I want the big screen, 120hz and USB C, since no other iPhone offers this the deal was set...
I got a 13 pro max. I switched and it’s a huge upgrade from that. The titanium build is amazing and for whatever reason it feels faster and snappier than my 13.
I traded in my 14 pro for the 15 pro max & Ive been enjoying it…the battery life jump is the most noticeable & i think I’m gonna keep getting the larger models for that reason.
I switched from the 13 mini to the 15 pro and I feel like despite it being a very expensive unit, it is a very good package. Im looking forward to keep it for 3 years, minimum 2 years. I can't wait longer because I just enjoy new tech too much. Annual upgrades are definitely not worth it through.
I recently upgraded from 13 mini to 15 Pro. Admittedly, it’s not really because I needed a new phone, but my dad needed one and he wanted my 13 mini specifically. So naturally, I went for the upgrade instead. I went for the Pro for the smaller form factor while still having the pro features which turned out to be quite useful for me. Overall, I really like the 15 Pro, and all of the hate it had when it was first launched were so overblown in my opinion.
I am like most people...I am value-oriented, I am not a power user, I appreciate good quality. I had been using the OnePlus One since 2014. It was a great phone in 2014. I've never had any complaints. Last month, my OPO died. So I decided to switch to the iPhone. The base iPhone 15 at CAN$1,129 met all my requirements. It has a much better camera than my OPO's. I don't miss 120Hz. I don't miss USB 3.0.
Despite all the negative comments I have read, I am extremely pleased with my 15 pro running the latest iOS. Battery is more than fine ( I don't game ). Bought it last week.
Got the 256GB iPhone 15 pro 6 months ago, switching from the iPhone SE 2020 (itself switched from a 5 year old iPhone 5S). The price tag is quite straining, but the jump in technology is equally insane man
Same story as everyone else it seems, i got a 13 mini to try iphone and it was my first official iphone ever. I loved my 13 mini, it was a solid performer so naturally i guess i should go all in and buy a big boy iphone and got me a 15 pro max. Im still getting used to the size difference from my tiny mini to this huge pro max and honestly i like it. Ill see when the 24 ultra comes out if i will go back to android or not
I went from the 12 pro max to 15 pro cause I couldn’t handle carrying a big phone anymore and I absolutely love the portability and the power of the A17 Pro chip
Apple did this "pro max extra" again. İphone 12pm has better ois system on main camera and x2.5 telephoto lens. But pro version has x2 telephoto and traditional ois system on main camera. It is not cool. Maybe some users want one handed device but x5 lens or somehing. Next year, both of them will have some specs (probably). Also heat issues and material quality will fix next year. 16 series could better choice for most of us.
Im getting (possibly) a iphone 15 pro max 1tb natural titanium because of the cameras, chipset, promotion and so much more (and apple ai) and its veryyyy expensive
I traded in my Samsung Galaxy S20 FE for an iPhone 15 Pro at my cellular service provider and I am loving it so far! I finally got to trade in my Samsung which was a big relief! I had an iPhone 12 refurbished from the Apple Store as a backup for several months and it was also a nice difference from my Samsung! ❤🎉
I was going to get the 15 pro max for he camera upgrade from the 13 pro, by my carrier had the Pixel 8 Pro for $399.99 for pre order so I went team pixel to give that a shot.
While upgrading from the 13 pro max doesn’t feel like a huge leap, I do appreciate the feeling in the hand, the lighter weight, smaller frame of the pro max, the 5x zoom lens which I love and the Dynamic Island and brighter display.
I live in New Zealand and the iphone 15 Pro Max costs a eye watering $2,499😳 I went for the 15 Plus as a cheaper alternative that gives me everything I need from a phone. It still cost me $1,849 though🤨
i have an iphone 15 pro, and it still gets noticably warm at seemingly random times. I've updated to ios 17.0.3, but every now and again it just gets really warm for no reason, when all i'm doing is playing music or something
I don't really get all this is it worth it videos. If you're springing $800 or more for a regular 15, what's $200 extra for all the pro features and a better screen?
my 13 pro works like a charm. just replaced the battery and for me it goes to 3 day without charging. There is absolutely no reason to move up to the 15 pro (other than willing to throw some money out the window).
I upgrade roughly every 2 years, I’m currently on the 14 Pro. From what I’m reading and seeing on different media outlets the 16 Pro is going to be a huge upgrade, the 12, 13, 14, and 15 Pro have been so similar but the 16 Pro is going to bring real change. I’m really looking forward to the 16 Pro. Saving my Verizon dollars 😂
Damn, you Latin Americans need to petition your governments to drop these horrific tech taxes. Not only you earn 10 times less than an US citizen on average, but you pay 4 times the price for tech. It stifles the development of your youth in our increasingly tech focused era, contributing to the cycle of poverty. I live in EU and products are only about 20% more expensive than in the US (mainly due to VAT) whereas wages are comparable. (Depending on state/area)
I usually upgrade whenever they are no longer getting any updates. Not even out of my own volition even, my workplace sets it as a requirement that it needs to be on the lateste update.
Although I am a longtime Apple user, it's indisputable that Android phones are more customizable; they haven't figured out how to market their product. Apple prices increase every year, and this year is no exception! For the first time I purchased the 15 plus, every other year (that I've updated) the model has been a pro max. Still, the reason that I'm upset with Apple is because of the radiation level, not the price. Charge what you will, but provide a safe product. France demanded a software fix to lower radiation levels in iphone 12.
I currently have an IPhone 11 Pro that has been giving me issues when charging it. I’ve had my phone for 2 years so should an upgrade to an IPhone 15 Pro be worth the upgrade?
I love the phone, my only issue is, the “overheating” yes it’s been “addressed” but, some apps still warm it up, nothing too crazy but it’s still noticeable, and don’t get me started on RE Village, phone gets hot, is it unbearable? No. But you do feel it
As someone who came from an iPhone 13 (at a point where I can now afford the pro, yay me) it’s awesome. The battery life is amazing, the zoom options are awesome, performance is shocking (opening apps is instant again) and gaming is incredible. Genshin at 120 fps on my goddamn phone? Incredible (though I have a Peltier cooler) Also as a Canadian I agree that the Yanks get insane pricing deals because they are the modern imperial core
I usually wait longer but just signed up for new service so getting one this year. I’m going up from the 13 Pro Max, my son the 12 Pro and my daughter an XS
If you were to buy an iPhone in the US with UK pricing the 15 Pro Max would £1,454.67 if you switched it around it would cost the UK £988 from US $ to GBP £
I had the 15 Pro Max and enjoyed the battery life, but the 5x seemed overhyped. It was good for some things like concerts, but I found myself not using it as much as 3x on my previous Pro. Also, more times than not, the camera would digitally crop to 5x if there wasn’t perfect lighting instead of optical 5x. And the zoomed in range 2x - 5x looked terrible compared to the 15 Pro’s 2x-5x. I went with the Pro for comfortability and preference.
@@Dudofall Currently, out of 128 GB of storage I use 91 GB, mainly because I don't have many photos... so on the phone I want to buy I would have a lot more !
I went all out this year and got a 15 Pro Max in natural titanium to match my ultra 2. Now that iPhone has USB-C, I think this time around I’ll try to have this phone for at least two years since I’m usually the one to upgrading yearly. Durability is what concerns me since I tend to put my phone in my back pocket and sometimes take a seat without taking it out. Who knows, maybe this year will be the year I finally get to use the included AppleCare plus that comes with the iPhone upgrade program. as to your point about putting a case on the phone, I usually put clear cases on my stuff along with screen protectors.
Still holding on to my iPhone Xs that I got from 2019 and waiting to upgrade to an for iphone 16 pro 1 TB. The spec bump isn’t too great from iphone 14 pro, no upgrades in camera lens beyond software adjustments, the design is lame and is an noob generation on USB-C.
For me, I’m on my last iPhone because I have a 13 mini and Apple discontinued their mini line. I’ll probably will be going back to Android once Apple no longer supports the 13 mini
The thing is most people who buy iPhones are going to get the pro whether they "need" it or not. Everyone I know has a pro version of the iPhone and none of them are youtubers or photographers, etc.
i’m stuck personally as I don’t feel like shelling out 1000 bucks for a phone i don’t need as I have a 13 pro however one of my cameras is shattered and produces awful photo and the back has some cracks.
the performance of the M17 pro chip it doesn't come close to what TSMC states that the 3 nano meter node should be able to achieve neither in energy efficiency nor in performance the N5 / 4 node is better than the N3 B node apple hasn't changed the chip since ipone 12 they only made small changes so i'm waiting
Well I have a iPhone 11 and I’ve been wanting to upgrade this year with a pro model but yeah it’s seems like a unnecessary upgrade Maybe I’ll switch to android or I’ll just stay with my 11
13 pro max to 15 pro because although I love the battery and large screen I just like the more compact feel of the 15 pro even tho battery is a lot worse then The 13pm but so far I’m living it
i was gonna get a 15pro as in suffering with storage with my 64gb iphone 12mini but when i saw the phone shattering like crazy on media kinda scared me
I like to upgrade whenever I want because who cares its a phone, it's not a car or a house, its not the biggest purchase of your life. The amount people obsess over this is funny.
I’m upgrading from a 12 pro and I’m excited to have something new… I’m going down to South America for three months, so I’ll have such an opportunity to capture some amazing photos!! Very likely it gets stolen though 😅😅 let’s pray not.
i can get a free iphone 15 with t mobile’s new promo. i have a 13 pro max rn. should I sell my 13 or sell the free 15 I’ll get and just get the 16 next year?

Now that iPhone has USB-C, I think this time around I’ll try to have this phone for at least two years since I’m usually the one to upgrading yearly. Durability is what concerns me since I tend to put my phone in my back pocket and sometimes take a seat without taking it out. Who knows, maybe this year will be the year I finally get to use the included AppleCare plus that comes with the iPhone upgrade program. as to your point about putting a case on the phone, I usually put clear cases on my stuff along with screen protectors.
Bro said at least 2 years like that’s a long time 😭
I agree on the 5x it’s not that great, performs worse in the mid range. Personally I’m better off with the 15 pro if I get one
8:47, don’t do that, the lens would easily scratch the screen
Look into how to make your green screen not bounce green light all over your set and make everything, including you, green-tinged.
i never owned an iphone. im just a windows user. iphone 15 pro max should be more durable.
I also still have Twitter on my phone!
I don’t know if I’d call it a protest more as just I think it’s neat
i’m stuck personally as I don’t feel like shelling out 1000 bucks for a phone i don’t need as I have a 13 pro however one of my cameras is shattered and produces awful photo and the back has some cracks.
Great phone I love it but like you said if you have a 14 pro I’d wait only upgrade if you’re a tech enthusiast like me lol!!😂
Watching this after I bought my iPhone 15 pro already for no reason
the performance of the M17 pro chip it doesn't come close to what TSMC states that the 3 nano meter node should be able to achieve neither in energy efficiency nor in performance the N5 / 4 node is better than the N3 B node
apple hasn't changed the chip since ipone 12 they only made small changes so i'm waiting
i use a iPhone 14 Pro bought it on 9/12/23 from apple but it overheats when im on youtube
If you watch concert
The zoom is good thing
Well I have a iPhone 11 and I’ve been wanting to upgrade this year with a pro model but yeah it’s seems like a unnecessary upgrade
Maybe I’ll switch to android or I’ll just stay with my 11
two reasons to upgrade from your iPhone 11 would be 5G modems and OLED.
I’ve upgraded to a 15 pro from an 11, and it’s defo a noticeable upgrade, especially the display and camera
OLED yes, but who needs 5G speeds?@@LChineze
8:29 how many of us are applying 100 pounds of pressure in opposite directions to bend our phone though?
I got from 13 basic to 15 pro because they reduced weight. Wife has 14 pro and it is too heavy for me.
13 pro max to 15 pro because although I love the battery and large screen I just like the more compact feel of the 15 pro even tho battery is a lot worse then The 13pm but so far I’m living it
i was gonna get a 15pro as in suffering with storage with my 64gb iphone 12mini
but when i saw the phone shattering like crazy on media kinda scared me
I like to upgrade whenever I want because who cares its a phone, it's not a car or a house, its not the biggest purchase of your life. The amount people obsess over this is funny.
you are lucky in Canada you get the SIM card Tray , in the USA we have eSim Totally.
lowkey better channel than simple alpaca
I’m upgrading from a 12 pro and I’m excited to have something new…
I’m going down to South America for three months, so I’ll have such an opportunity to capture some amazing photos!!
Very likely it gets stolen though 😅😅 let’s pray not.
got a case on my normal 13 got hard floors so its a must😉
i can get a free iphone 15 with t mobile’s new promo. i have a 13 pro max rn. should I sell my 13 or sell the free 15 I’ll get and just get the 16 next year?
It’s not free just have don’t have to anything today
in my country the price actually went down compared to the 14
15 really worth pro it?
I paid the equivalent almost 3k CAD for a 512 Pro Max in Poland. Yikes
In New Zealand iPhone 15 pro is 2099
The 14 pro was 1999
