@@reggie7871 nothing I just was thinking about going to a smaller device this year as I always get the pro max .. but the battery life. Is not good on the smaller devices
I'm pleased I made the right decision. This is my first time watching your video, and I think it's the best one! I've had the iPhone 15 for two weeks, and it's a significant upgrade from my XR. The battery life is outstanding, the bezels are much smaller, and the 60Hz display doesn't bother me at all. Plus, I really like the USB-C port!
I've upgraded from an 8 Plus to a 15 and liking it so far. Skipped the Pro because I'm not a pro photographer/video editor and because of the poorer battery life, overheating issues and price.
I went from a 14 pro to the 15 plus, I found myself not needing "pro" features for regular use. The USB-C upgrade is a plus for me for sure; the biggest upgrade I found myself loving is the MASSIVE upgrade in battery life. My 14 pro could barely last me half the day.
@@SwissDylan I saved money trading up, now I have no phone payment. But the battery life was terrible, at least in mine. I did not want to get rid of the purple sadly…but it was worth it.
I went from the 14 Pro to the 15 Plus as well and I agree! The battery life is just a huge improvement. I would go from 89% to 60% battery on my 14 Pro without even using it that much throughout the day. My 15 Plus barely gets below 82% after a regular work day.
This is what I have and after a few weeks I am happy with my decision. I have no need and therefore no desire for a "Pro" phone. I just need a basic device and this 15 is perfect for me. I'm happy with the battery life and screen size for what I use it for. It's easy to pocket/carry, iOS 17.1 is good, the apps are good, the cameras are great.
Iphone 15 looks good on my 15pro screen... Joke aside, I dont regret buying the pro because of the screen, 120hz rate etc. But I sugest to test them in the store before you buy it, maybe some ppl will not notice so then the 15 will be the best buy. Cheers!
I’m a welder and I believe the IPhone 14 pro is a solid build. Titanium is a difficult metal to work with vs heat. The iPhone 15 pro have amazing specs but the iPhone 14 pro has a better build and is a very solid computer phone. My opinion don’t upgrade the iPhone 14 pro will prove it’s very capable and one of Apple’s most durable phones.

My 2 reasons for upgrading, USB-3 speeds with USB-C and a bigger Pro Motion screen as I got the Pro Max this time. Some of us don't stream music so being able to sync fast is a must. I've got about 300GB of music. If it wasn't for these 2 things, I'd have kept my 13 Pro.

Went for the 15 plus this year over the pro for the first time in a while and might be my favorite phone yet. Was close to rocking without a case but already have a few scratches.
After watching a bunch of videos from battery tests to durability tests, 15 vs 15 pro, the non pro has much better battery, much better durability, it is smaller/lighter meaning it should also last longer. The 15 pro has the zoom camera (77mm f/24 FF equivalent, that's very bad, in my opinion useless), it has pro motion, and 20% faster graphics to play the AAA games if you're a gamer. I ordered the 15 pro, but I cancelled my order and purchased the non pro when I learned about these advantages over the pro, I’m very happy with that decision :)
@@brunero2007that isn’t that big of a deal. Coming from a 13 max ( wanting a smaller phone again) i got the standard 15. Honestly after a couple days the 60 hz looks and feels just as smooth. Apple animations are just too smooth
The pro is both smaller (height but thicker) and lighter, but other than that, I agree with your comparison. (I was wrong the 15 pro is heavier than the 15, but lighter than the 14 pro)
yeah feel like the vanilla 15 especially with the newer than 15pro 48mp sensor is really good, for cameras easily better than the pros unless you need further reach. 60hz is okay, 120hz would be awesome. usb3 would be great too if you transfer lots of camera pictures or videos into the phone. Otherwise people who don't really require those features plus proraw prores the regular 15 are a great basic phone, much better than the regular 14s.
The big thing is that the Pro is actually not that much more expensive. So if you have the money for a 15 then you might as well just spend some extra bucks on the 15 pro. And then you will have a premium phone for the next at least 5 years. So the pro is actually more worth it in the long run.
if it wasn't for the fact that the 15 Pro has a terrible battery life, it has overheating problems, quality assembly issues and discoloring of the titanium paint.. lol
@marilson84 well then in that case I say the smaller 6.1 pro Is better for smaller hands. Though more expensive the 100 dollar difference for the increased power and features is worth it. But I have big hands and a pro Maxs' price is just no.
I have an iPhone 11 and learned you don't have to pick up your phone the check the time. Just double tap the screen and the screen will light up. I ordered a new iPhone 15 plus in blue or white or white/blue. I liked this color most because had there been a white option for the iPhone 15 or plus I would have gotten that, but the blue looks more white than blue......LOL
Can you do a video comparing all*** the Rhinoshield screen protectors, I'm especially interested in their 9H Tempered Glass one (on their website). I'm also wondering how useful their camera lens protectors are. THX!
120Hz promotion display is well worth it on a bigger display like iPad Pro. Other than frequent mobile gaming, idk why else people would need 120 Hz on a 6 inch device. Most content on social media is 60 Hz anyway.
Well I went from the XR to the 13 pro and while you do notice the smoothness I usually tend to forget about it and don’t even notice it switching between my 120hz iPhone to 60hz MacBook Air, probably due to the screen size 😅
Returned my Pro for the 15 Plus and I'm completely satisfied. Yes 60hz is a downgrade but after a day I don't even notice it anymore. And amazing battery life

Of course if you planning to do more than daily use, I'd say 14 pro is still viable, but that type C indeed simplified a lot of cable problems (For me at least)
Great video buddy. I love watching review videos on Apple products. I just upgraded to the iPhone 15 back in early February and loving every aspect of the device. Like you mentioned at the end of the video, I am not a pro user, so 60 Hz refresh speed on the display is fine for me. I am a photography guy with my iPhone so yes I take a lot of photos and videos. Thank you again, great video and review!
Just switched from an Android phone to an iPhone 15 pro, the experience has been great as of now, I don't really use the "pro" features or cameras as often but the only thing that made me get it instead of a normal iPhone 15 was the 120hz display. I really hope apple considers increasing the refresh rate of their standard iPhones in the future
Great points Kyle! Really loved how you explained everything.. and the b roll shots are too good! Personally, I love the promotion display and definitely couldn’t go back to a phone without it!
For the Action Button and the always on display got me to the Pro 15. I would think about switching to the regular 15, but I have had zero heat issues and so I think I got a particularly good unit so I don't wanna sway from it at this point. Plus I wanna try the micro photography camera.
thanks for the info. my iphone 15 pro was stolen two weeks ago and i can confirm its way to powerful for everyday use. after this video (thanks kyle) i will be getting iphone 15. keep well
Good video - a couple things: 1. You said 33 Megabytes per second transfer speed is equivalent to a bad internet connection. That’s ~264 Mbps (ie not slow). 2. You said 4k video is “way over” the USB 2.0 speeds of 480Mbps. It isn’t even close to that speed. Most streaming services output 4k at no higher than 20 Mbps and many half that.
You’re missing the point on video bandwidth. You are referring to 4K video over the internet. To output a 4K60 signal over HDMI, you need to use a cable with 18gbps of bandwidth. Irrelevant anyway since it’s not going to use USB for a display connection, but just wanted to point out what he was referring to.
@@JordanDurzigot it! It can still output via DisplayPort for up to 4K HDR video mirroring, which I think the video seemed to imply wouldn’t be possible, but maybe I misunderstood!

i agree about the colors looking muted. i wanted yellow but ended up getting pink because the yellow barely shows up at all. i got the 15 plus because i wanted a larger screen without paying extra for the pro or pro max. i’m extremely happy with it so far.
Same. Not sure why some people keep saying there is no difference. I use an iPhone 13 Pro and I tried the 60z hz one time - out of curiosity. I switched it back to 120hz and never tried the 60hz again.
Such a great video. Last week bought iphone 15 black. Such a great phone. My previous phone was 7 plus black too. Your video was so informative. Thanks alot. One question- why did you do that namaste gesture in end ? 😊
I'd pull the plug on the regular 15 model if it wasn't for the 120hz screen honestly...there's literally nothing else holding me from buying it aside from having that higher refresh rate user experience with the animations and scrolling. There's just not going back to 60hz sadly after trying 120hz on any other phone.
Yeah I got to agree I know it seems like a small thing but go from a Samsung phone that’s got 120 Hz and then pick up the iPhone you see it right away I do but besides that the iPhone 15 gray phone I wish they at least up to 90 and then it would be. It’d be fine maybe next year
WEIGHT has become a key need for me. Going from the heavy 13 Pro Max to the 15 Plus was 40 grams lighter, and feels really significant; like a boost in quality of life.

Awesome job. First time seeing one of your videos and was blown away by the quality.
I went from a 14 pro to the 15 plus, I found myself not needing "pro" features for regular use. The USB-C upgrade is a plus for me for sure; the biggest upgrade I found myself loving is the MASSIVE upgrade in battery life. My 14 pro could barely last me half the day.
Upgrading from a 14 pro is basically just wasting money because the 14 is already very good
@@SwissDylan I saved money trading up, now I have no phone payment.

My 15 Plus barely gets below 82% after a regular work day.
i actually like the quality of your video, and the consistency. It's top notch i would say. Keep going bro.
it was a great experience watching this video, every frame felt amazing and colors were incredibly nice.
Totally agree about the colours. Pastel and faint. Ill go for the black without hesitation.
Black 15 is the way to go. Returned my 15 Pro and got this one. Lighter weight and better battery life and looks amazing in black.

@Yuuki-sg4musame thing happened to me. I took mine back and got a 15+. I feel like it's the best bang for the buck this year.
the regular 15 has better battery than pro 15?
Cheers!
I do miss the prores but apart from that I think especially the Plus is amazing this year. Upgrades in every way.
Also what I think. Will go for the Iphone 14 Pro this year.

Amazing review! Came across this channel today and this is my first ever video. Just subscribed keep up the great content!
I was amazed to see how gorgeous the video looked. Great job man, keep doing great work.

What about the bigger size? Is it a lot different and do you use it one hand? I'm using my 13mini and not sure
how is iPhone 15 after 13 mini? is it too big or normal size?
After watching a bunch of videos from battery tests to durability tests, 15 vs 15 pro, the non pro has much better battery, much better durability, it is smaller/lighter meaning it should also last longer.
The 15 pro has the zoom camera (77mm f/24 FF equivalent, that's very bad, in my opinion useless), it has pro motion, and 20% faster graphics to play the AAA games if you're a gamer.
I ordered the 15 pro, but I cancelled my order and purchased the non pro when I learned about these advantages over the pro, I’m very happy with that decision :)
dont forget that the 15 pro has 120hz display while the 15 has 60
@@brunero2007that isn’t that big of a deal. Coming from a 13 max ( wanting a smaller phone again) i got the standard 15. Honestly after a couple days the 60 hz looks and feels just as smooth. Apple animations are just too smooth

Great video to watch - I've just upgraded from the 6 plus and love it - no more lag!
yeah feel like the vanilla 15 especially with the newer than 15pro 48mp sensor is really good, for cameras easily better than the pros unless you need further reach. 60hz is okay, 120hz would be awesome. usb3 would be great too if you transfer lots of camera pictures or videos into the phone. Otherwise people who don't really require those features plus proraw prores the regular 15 are a great basic phone, much better than the regular 14s.
Great video! Had to subscribe because you are the best video I have seen out of everyone on RUclips, explaining the iPhone 15. Good job!
The big thing is that the Pro is actually not that much more expensive. So if you have the money for a 15 then you might as well just spend some extra bucks on the 15 pro. And then you will have a premium phone for the next at least 5 years. So the pro is actually more worth it in the long run.
if it wasn't for the fact that the 15 Pro has a terrible battery life, it has overheating problems, quality assembly issues and discoloring of the titanium paint.. lol
@@marilson84 the IPhone 15 Plus is the best IPhone this year. It has the big screen of the Pro Max without the price.
@@FoxtrotStudi0s I know but it's too big for me
@marilson84 well then in that case I say the smaller 6.1 pro Is better for smaller hands.

THX!
I miss the starlight color..
If you are not used to 120hz panels then buying the standard 15 is a good choice
120Hz promotion display is well worth it on a bigger display like iPad Pro. Other than frequent mobile gaming, idk why else people would need 120 Hz on a 6 inch device. Most content on social media is 60 Hz anyway.
Scrolling and moving through the phones UI is totally worth 120hz. And that’s not just speaking on iPhone.
After upgrading from the 12 pro to the 15 pro, the display speed is very noticeable with 120hz.
Well I went from the XR to the 13 pro and while you do notice the smoothness I usually tend to forget about it and don’t even notice it switching between my 120hz iPhone to 60hz MacBook Air, probably due to the screen size 😅
Great point. I have the ipad pro. I turn the 120 off to save some battery on my 13pro. High rr is more noticeable on bigger screens
is not about content, is about using your phone itself, once you’re used to 120hz you can’t go back

@@Jasonpantazis update, I did get the 15. Its on sale for like $60 in my place so I just take it. After a long debate since making the comment. I would say the 15 base is still a better option as it will be my daily driver.

I'm planning on upgrading from an iPhone 11, which should i get? The base 15 or the 14 Pro? (I don't like the Plus and Pro Max, I want my phone to feel comfy in my pocket. Also still skeptical of the titanium 15 pros)

i agree about the colors looking muted. i wanted yellow but ended up getting pink because the yellow barely shows up at all. i got the 15 plus because i wanted a larger screen without paying extra for the pro or pro max. i’m extremely happy with it so far.
I tired them both side by side. Can’t go back to 60hz… otherwise would’ve preferred the base 15.
Same. Not sure why some people keep saying there is no difference. I use an iPhone 13 Pro and I tried the 60z hz one time - out of curiosity. I switched it back to 120hz and never tried the 60hz again.
Using 60hz on a $800+ phone should be a crime in 2023,it’s simply unacceptable
It’d be fine maybe next year
Same here that and the older cpu
