Hi Kyle. Avid fan here. Just want to ask if the Torras Glass Go screen protector black border is thick? Does it makes the iphone 16 border looks more thicker?
This "people don't care about 120Hz" attitude needs to change. Apple is profiting off people's ignorance at this point. 120Hz is no longer a premium feature-it's become a standard. Including it would have made more sense than adding the Camera Control feature to the base iPhone 16. Edit: Wow, this really took off. I’ve been reading through the comments, and I hear you. But you’re all actually proving my point. The issue isn’t whether you notice it or care about it; it’s the fact that Apple is shipping a product without a now-standard feature. This year, Apple got away with it because other features align with the Pro lineup, but rumors suggest they’ll definitely bring 120Hz to the base 17 series. And I’m sure once they do, you’ll all start to notice the difference.
d1 crashout academy head ahh its a mf feature u can live without go cry about it (i got the 16 and am mad but tbh fomo doesnt exist without it so who gaf)
120 Hz, though, uses a LOT of battery power, even with variable refresh rate. There's a reason why even the basic Samsung Galaxy S24 has a 4,000 mAh battery.
@Sacto1654 Not much, actually. There's a misconception that 120Hz runs all the time, but that's not true. It only kicks in while scrolling, in games that need it, or in other areas where smoothness is required. When you watch a video or perform other tasks, it automatically adjusts to 60Hz or whatever framerate is needed to play the content. So, the percentage of time 120Hz is active is minimal, but it makes a huge difference in day-to-day use. That's also why the impact on battery life is minimal, though smartphones today require daily charging anyway. My point is that this feature has become standard and shouldn’t be overlooked by a company like Apple. Rumors suggest Apple will bring 120Hz to all iPhones next year, and I’m sure everyone will suddenly notice the real difference it makes.
As an owner of the Iphone 13 Pro (which is still a beast aside the battery now) I would like to try the Iphone 16, but the only thing that block me from buying this model is the 60hz display, I know that people who buy 16 don't care about the display refresh, but it should be a "normal" feature of every phone in 2024 and i'm still addicted at 120hz of Pro models
I believe the camera of IPhone 13 pro(what I have since it’s came out) is way better than IPhone 16. You can check yourself. Upgrade now. Big na na for me..
I bought the 16 last week as a secondary device my primary device is 13 pro the moment I started using 16 I felt a lag and delay in display 60HZ should be ditched ASAP by apple. My 13 Pro is still a beast battery needs to be replaced. But 16 has great camera and has nice colors.
@@RohitTripathy07Iphone 13 pro is the best iphone ever produce. It's the peak. Iphone 14-16 is just a gimmick. Only Dynamic island, action button and camera button is the only "new features" you can look up😅😅
@@astrangerontheinternet1 100 percent fake news . show me one time a feature marketed as pro was ever shipped on a base device across any apple product
I had a 15 Pro Max and have switched to the standard 16. The primary motivation is size and weight. I came from an Xr and never got used to the size or weight of the Max. Apple made my decision easy by making the phone features fairly equal. The only thing I will miss is the telephoto lens. Being able to just handle the phone with one hand is just so worth it to me. I decided against the 16 Pro because it’s still fairly heavy and the price isn’t worth it to me. I see the 60hz vs 120hz but it’s not important to me at all.
I’m in your boat. Any other impressions had with swap. Wanna pick your brain about the change. This was my first max and love the bigger screen, but thinking of going back to standard size
Same here, I have the 15 max now but I’m really thinking about doing the regular 16….. wonder if 6.1 screen size vs 6.3 will make a high difference and also the 16 pro is still kinda heavy ….. I think was worried that this would be a downgrade but after your comment I might just go from the 15 max to regular pink 16 🤔
@@citysbarbershop2015 how good is the pink… I mean SALMON… the ultramarine is also on short list it pull the trigger. But hard to pass that pink, and get my first clear case lol
I did exactly what you did, I had iPhone 15 pro max for a couple of months, I loved it so much in the beginning because it was my first time using the pro max but overtime the phone size and weight started to bother me and became heavy so i decided to sell it and get standard iPhone 16 , I don’t care about the features and 120 hertz after few days of use you don’t really see the difference. I loved the size and how light the phone is.
Is the size difference noticeable? I have a 13 mini which is the perfect size for me but I want a phone with better battery and camera and trying to decide between 15 pro or 16 pro, I would just get the 16 pro but I’m hesitant because of the size and weight increase. I previously had the 14 pro and I returned it because it was uncomfortable to use for me
Got me and my girlfriend the 16 pro and pro max recently and honestly our batteries last almost two days. I have a work phone so that makes sense for my battery to stretch. But I watch RUclips, take random photos or videos with my son, play games and read comics on it every single day and my Gf only has the new one. And it’s crazy to me that my battery and hers last as long as they do. We upgraded from the iPhone 11 so I feel like for us the upgrade is worth it far more than it would be for most people
120Hz isn't just for smoothness, it's also about touch response. The screen is insanely more touch responsive and reactive while scrolling I'm not even kidding, it is very noticeable. On 60Hz it feels like it drags along and you have to keep your finger more on the screen for it to register. The 16 costs 1100€ for the 256 GB model and the 16 plus 256 GB over 1200€ in Germany which is outrageous for 60Hz phones
If the 16 could natively support raw photos I would get it. It doesn't and so it's immediately disqualified for me. I find it such an odd intentional handicap from Apple. Samsung phones down to their A series can take raw photos (I know this because I owned an A20 4 years ago which introduced me to the format). Why a phone that expensive can't, despite being plenty more powerful than the iPhone 13 pro which debuted RAW is beyond me. Excellent video as always Kyle!
Switching back from 120hz to 60hz is something you only notice for like 1-2days MAX. I went from iPhone 15 pro max to iPhone 16 and I adjusted so quickly. It’s not bad at all
True that but people arent wrong tho we as customers deserve better for that price it isnt about if it is very important or not but about every other brand offering 120 hz even at 25% of this phones price it might not feel bad or anything but 120 hz feels better and apple should give us 120 hz
Yeah and upgrading the CPU is something even less people would notice but still, Apple does that. Apple does small stuff every time no one cares about and the feature arguably more would notice than anything else they refuse to add
I'm using a S21 almost for 3 years as my personal phone, and a S10e for almost 5 years (firstly as my personal phone and now as a professional/banking device that stays almost always at home). Despite having 120hz, I use the S21 most of the time in 60hz because: 1 - I don't game on my phone. 2 - It saves some battery. 3 - I simply don't care having this super "fluidity" just to scroll menus and social media feeds. If 120hz is important to you, fine. But not everyone needs it or actually care for it. And I consider myself as kind of a in between intermediary/heavy user.
Its less about if you need it or not and more about, for what your paying it really should be your decision on if you want to use 120hz or not and not Apples. If the base model had 120hz i would pick it over the pro easily. But im used to high refresh screens (even office monitors get higher refresh rates now) which makes 60 hz less clear to me. Again you dont need 120hz but you should be the one deciding if you want it or not.
@@ChrisBa303 I agree with you on this. Apple has been using the argument that "the average user don't want this feature" because the averahe iPhone (non pro model) buyer really doesn't care for this, but if they had the option, perhaps their opinion on this would change. Still, people usually don't complain for the lack of features they don't understand or think they don't need, so it generates kind of a strange situation.
i switched to android for 120hz and surprised that i can do everything i did with 300$ phone, plus super smooth display makes reading article very good experience. i don't need performance i just need 120hz. man i love it. apple just profiting on "general people can't see difference in 120hz or 60hz". after three generations of 120hz display they should've just given it to the non pro model.

@@MikeV-n6e I have iphone and Android, i don't know how you guys aren't feeling the difference. The difference is actually huge. My friend has pro variant, but apple never actually runs on 120Hz they limit it even giving it a feature. Please try 120Hz on Android
60 hz is enough for me. Yes, some people are going to disagree but imo iPhone 16 has so many good features like battery charge limit, good battery life, Apple intelligence, and better camera. I am commenting from my 60hz IPhone 16 (black) lol.
I must be an outlier for not seeing the appeal of a 120Hz display. After trialing it on my friend's phone, I thought it ranged from "not noticeable" to "meh". Doesn't feel snappier to me, just more blurry and headache-inducing. I might get accustomed to it if I were to use it more, but I really don't see why I should. The fact that the iPhone 16 is the prettiest phone I've ever seen is much more of a feature to me than a high refresh rate screen that's more likely to increase my motion sickness and drain my battery.
I asked several of my friends that are not into tech, aka average consumers, and they cant even tell the difference between the 2 screens. No wonder why people just dont care about the pro enough. The 60hz on the regular iphone is still so smooth most average people cant tell. I can't even tell either until i really focus into it. People are out here focusing too much on refresh rates like they're playing CS and COD. It's a phone, get over it.
I still have my iPhone 12 Pro Max, my husband and kids trade in every other year. I still don’t see a major difference, enough for me to actually want to upgrade. I’m considering leaving Apple all together. The price tags just don’t match the “upgraded specs”
True, most people either don't see the difference, or see the difference but don't care about it at all, I'm the latter, and I actually prefer 60hz for the slightly better battery life.
I understand the 60Hz argument, but it’s a non issue for me. I’m blessed to afford any iPhone, but I chose the 16 Plus. To me, the weight and one handed usability for a large phone is more important.
Honestly, as someone who used the R 360° Stand case for almost a year, I can say, it’s the best case I’ve ever used. It feels sturdy, the MagSafe is really strong but never to the point where it’s annoying, I’ve dropped the phone many times and didn’t get a single scratch, and the stand is really handy for my use cases. The only thing that is annoying is the hinge of the stand wears off too quickly. It stopped being strong enough to hold a phone after a little bit more than half a year. So you may need to buy another one if you use it a lot.
Only difference I would care about is the 60 v 120 but the 16 model being so much lighter as well as the battery lasting the same as the 16 pro is more what I care about on day to day. It’s just not worth the 200 extra for me
They gotta sell the pro somehow 😂, I’m not switching yet but I will when 17 is out and if it comes with 120hz as leaks suggest I’m have no reason to buy the pro
No what's hilarious is you having no clue how much in the minority you are in ! Of course you notice it . If you don't and your not a very mild user tho get your eyes checked my friend
@@gstevens6948 lol idk why you dick riders suck off Apple so much. Do they pay you? Did you spend all your savings on an iPhone? Apple could remove wireless charging, IP rating and you'd still keep defending and sucking them off. What a toxic relationship you're all in lmao
If you’re a social media scrolling nut then yes you’re going to complain about the 60 hz display. But the rest of us who use a phone as a productivity device, this is the best base iPhone in a long time. It basically closed the gap between it and the pro models. 95% of the population doesn’t need all the other “Pro” features
Yep people complaining about a feature available in any 200$ phone not present in a 800$ phone are nut jobs. Apple is literally trying to punish it's customers for not spending more for pro version, it would be inexpensive for them to make 120hz screen on 16.
Fr man couldn’t have said it better. It’s way better than my 13 I upgraded from! The dynamic notch, the camera control, APPLE INTELLIGENCE I MIGHT ADD. And yeah it’s a nice phone !!
It’s a there 120hz is there the 16 and 16 pro have to same fucking screen there’s no reason not to just enable it in the software I’m sure apple is getting a bunch of use out of the 16 cents there saving from not paying an employee to enable it for the base model
I love when Pixel 6A came out it was bashed around by all the people for having a good 60 hz display, but in case of Apple suddenly it's all about the average consumer not noticing things!!!
This channel is like serendipity! Loved ur style of reviewing- no fuss no drama, just straight up facts. Wow! Coming to the phone, i came from samsung s22 ultra and so far, I’m loving my iphone 16 🙂 60Hz is not a dealbreaker for me (would’ve loved 120 but lets not forget I saved money by jot buying the pro)
I came from iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 14 Pro. And I would say, it’s really heavy for me and it strains my hands sometimes. Of course, I love the 120hz and the pro cameras but this iPhone 16, is just the perfect size and weight for me. I can live with the 60hz and non-pro cameras. What I noticed with the iPhone 16 is how smooth and fluid opening and switching apps, maybe because of the new processor.
Fair points. But as one cares much about the still camera features, you have to go to the Pro model to get jPeg-XL photo file saving option, and get a telephoto lens. For my uses those to features alone are worth the $200 price difference. I just wish they’d give us these best camera options in a smaller body.
The thing that I dislike about the iPhone 16 is the 60hz display. I hate a choppy display and when I am using some other iPhone than my 15 Pro Max or a Pro model, I can instantly tell. I'm thinking about upgrading to the base model iPhone 17 when it comes out, but if it doesn't have the 120hz display, I'm not going to. 😭
I can tell you that when I worked at the Apple store less than 1% of customers even knew what refresh rate is nor could they tell me which phone had it by looking at it. The fact is the Pro phones rarely run at more than 60fps. Most of the time they a re running at 60fps or lower. Also, all these videos show the difference in slow motion because otherwise you would not even notice it. Unless you play games you really won't miss it.
I have been pondering for a long time weather to get the 16 or 16 pro, searching through endless videos to get to a conclusion. this comment may well have solidified my decision, the only reason i would have gone for the pro this year is because of the 120hz. i am coming from an iPhone 12 mini, and have never had a brand new top of the range phone before, so was really torn. i know i would never use most of the pro features any way. but now i know that about the 60hz that you have explained, i think ill just go for the base model 16 and save myself a couple of hundred £, thank you
I have the 15 Pro now and I want to stop being a "Pro" user, for a personal decision I want to be able to feel good using a basic iPhone 16. Something like living a slightly more minimalist lifestyle and asking myself: "Do I really need the most expensive and technological phone if one that costs 200 or 300 dollars less is more than enough for me?" Plus I set my current iPhone to 60Hz and it's not the end of the world, it's just a little different. I think I can live with that, so I'll buy the non-Pro model this year. Thanks for the video!
why would you set it to 60hz? that’s the dumbest shit i’ve heard. especially on a phone that adapts the refresh rate. paying that much money for a base iphone for me anyway, is a massive dealbreaker
i’m in the exact same situation! i consider myself a minimalist too and i decided to switch to the iPhone 16 (non pro) for a while and see how it goes. Gonna pick it up today!
@@astrangerontheinternet1 I too am very minimalist, I decided to sell one of my Ferrari’s today as having multiple just didn’t suit my minimalist lifestyle
Forget the pro?? No freaking way i'm going back to a 60Hz display no matter how great a phone is. All base iPhones from iPhone 12 and above are great phones EXCEPT for the 60Hz refresh rate. I see comments calling us nerds and that 120Hz is not a big deal... you're fooling yourselves. You don't see a big difference cause you never owned a pro.... once you get used to it it's a night and day difference! I would gladly own a base iPhone 17 with 120Hz even if it's aluminium, 2 cameras, worse battery life, etc.... but until then a 13 pro is way way better to use than a base iPhone 16.
@@Tdr-jv2nc Hype? It's a user experience thing, not just hype. And it makes an iPhone so much more enjoyable. I don't care if you're blind... for me and many other users it's the most important feature in a phone.
I have this exact iphone 16 256gb ultramarine. This is my best of all phone I ever have! 60hz on this iphone is very smooth than my Oneplus Nord CE3 120hz. Iphone is really different. For the price, it should be 120hz, but for its 60hz, I can’t complain because again I feel much more smoother and fluidity with this phone. I can’t believe I already have this phone which previously I cannot afford I only watch those famous youtuber but now Im very happy I have it. 😊😊😊
I don't know why 120Hz is such a huge deal when it comes to phone usage. Before, it was only really about gaming, or in the ipad pro when the apple pencil response is better with it. On phones tho, it's just a nice to have but not essential. Scrolling is smoother, but why do you need for scrolling to be smoother anyway? It's such a weird obsession. Iphones are hella expensive and I'm not defending that. I'm talking about general smartphone features.
I have a 12 mini that I’ve been taking care as my kid, but I just broke it today after dropping a hammer on it. I love the size of it so I’d like to ask if it is very noticeable? I don’t want a huge phone and with the mini not coming back, I’d like to know. Thanks
I’m using 14 plus for two years now since launch , I am averaging 2 hours a day more than my partner using 15 pro max since x-mas 9 months ago , and yet my battery health is 91% vs my partner 90% ! Shocking 9 months vs 2 years & 2 hours more extra a day ? Is the 120hz killing the battery health?
Impossible to forget the lack of 120hz, this is the pain of the base iPhone 16. If the iPhone 17 comes with 120hz, sure will sell a lot more than the Pros!
I actually traded in my 14 pro for the regular 16 and I’m beyond happy with it! The battery life on the 14 was very very bad, and I personally can manage without the pro motion and getting more battery life. Not to mention it’s a lot more comfortable in hand opposed to the 14.
This is the era of the base iPhone. 😆 The iPhone 17 is rumoured to be getting a 6.3” ProMotion screen just like the 17 Pro and 48MP cameras front and back. 🍿
I don't understand most of tech reviewers. When they talk about the price, the functionalities and, sometimes, the lack of improvements from the previous model they say that iphones are not for everyone and general user should think to buy others smartphones but when critical points, like the 60Hz display, comes out they say that a simple user didn't even notice it. But if someone is spending almost 1k for a phone i think they deserve the best. IMHO obviously ☺️
They gatekeep 120hz because they know techies will buy the pro because it’s only “a couple hundred more” But Apple making it harder and harder for me to justify spending big bucks on their phones. $899 for 60hz and 256gb of storage is robbery.
I lose interest, when a review of a phone turns into a camera review. When I get serious about photography, I use my actual (mirrorless) camera. It has a better & larger sensor, more sophisticated post processing options, more detail, better lenses, it's still super light weight, and it's... 8 years old. The camera in the iPhone is amazing and always accessible, but for what I use it for, it's been amazing for years. These incremental improvements (especially given the size and form factor) are great, but for me, they are not a selling point or a reason to upgrade.
Sorry, unless your a prof photographer, phones have replaced cameras, unless you live with a go pro stuck to your forehead. Thus the review is very appropriate for MOST users. By the way, if you expect any smartphone review not to detail the camera then your expectations are not realistic. Happens on this model, one of the changes is centred around better control over picture taking........... one would think you would be interested in that........... All in all your comment is bogus.
Same for me - the camera on my SE gen 2 is more than adequate for me; like you, I use cameras for photography and have no interest in iPhone camera feature adds.
@@Anavllama My comments may not be relevant to you, but they’re not “bogus”. My 8 year old camera takes better images with finer detail and WAY more data for things like editing and printing. Things that more than just a professional might want and need. For quick shots and casual use, the iPhone is great, but it’s been great (or more than good enough) for years. Compared to my 14 Pro, there is nothing in the 16’s motivating me to upgrade.
@@daveed4475 This is the dichotomy. As a photographer, I love the features they are adding to the iPhone, but they are NOT reasons for me to upgrade. When I upgrade my phone it's because of things like better build quality, battery life, WiFi, cell radios, etc. Things Apple rarely mentions, even when they add them. When I need better image quality and a photographic experience, I use my actual camera. Am I an anarchistic dinosaur? Probably. Does Apple care about me as a customer? Clearly not.
There is no heating issue. Battery is great, its long lasting. 60 hz doesnt make big difference. I love it, especially the camera is so good. Audio mix video is perfect for bloggers.
5:59 The camera control is a nice idea but in general I kinda just wish it was finger print open with some other functions. I rather use the normal camera controls. Also I rather have the silence switch, but I’ll admit the change could be helpful. They do need to move it further up because it’s no longer a switch, it’s a button.
Great video . Point well taken ‘60 hz refresh is long in the tooth ‘ .. I’m surprised that consumers haven’t demanded that all new iPhones at this price point have at minimum 120hz ! I really like the coverage of the buttons ..the new special feature button seems curiously positioned . Right where the palm covers it up 🤣. Spatial imaging seems interesting. Sadly , I’m the only consumer wanting Apple to offer 3D video optional . After all, their visor is made for spatial viewing . Why not 3D . Love the fact they gave the 16 the A18 chipset ! Love the cooling ! Love the OLED screen (you did say OLED right ?) love gaming options . I would love to see more ease of use when taking photos .. seems like with SLR , your negative can be manipulated in the dark room to add shading , tone, depth, clarity .. the different options on an iPhone just seem amateurish by comparison . I can only imagine how much storage the phone would need if I wanted an image to be stored like a negative with all the requisite detail 🤣..can you say 5TB?
I have a 16 pro however I have seen the 16 colours in the apple store and I love the blue and pink ones. Deffo apples best colours for a while on the normal iPhones
From a Realme 3 pro user willing to buy a new iphone for the first time Should I better buy iphone 16 and without a doubt iphone's 16 hz will be better than my phone. Or get the 16 pro?
Went from a 15 pro max to a 16 and I love it . Only reason I “down graded “ was for a new redesign. I got tired of the basic 3 camera design . I’ve had it since the 11 pro and tired of it .
So I have the S23 Ultra, it is my personal phone. So I know about 120hz screen refresh rates. I have my phone set to the adaptive refresh rate, as locking it to 120hz will seriously drain your battery. But one thing to mention, a lot of your app experience will vary, some apps just seem to be choppy when scrolling. So not sure why that is, but the OS will flow much better at 120hz. So, why am I here? Well, because Samsung is sticking with the curved edged screen, I'm going back to iPhone and I think the 16 Pro is going to be my choice. I love the camera in the S23 and the S Pen, but I've probably spent over 200 bucks on screen protectors and cannot find one that will stay on the curved edges, so I'm done with them.
I see a difference took me a min when I'm using a 60hz I can tell instantly it's all choppy when scrolling & lag when I'm using 120hz it's smooth when scrolling no choppiness you would have too use a 120hz phone for a few months in order too tell I'll never go back too a 60hz

I can absolutely see the difference between 60 and 120 fps displays. And it doesn’t bother me tbh. The regular 16 SHOULD have 120 hz display, but it is still a good phone without it.
A $799 phone should have a 120Hz display. I won't defend Apple, but personally, I would limit it to 60Hz even if it has ProMotion, so it's the like the perfect model this year for people like me who don't care about the display.
120hz eats up battery and makes the phone work harder. 60hz genuinely doesnt look bad, still smooth animations and movement. Is their a clear difference? For sure but at the cost of battery life and a few hundred more dollars, no thanks
Honestly i dont really care about 120hz, give me any resident evil, change the camera layout instead of the usually square with 3 cameras and a long lasting battery and im sold
Who cares about spatial video??? Very few people have the VR headset. Personally, I have no use for the Action button. The only feature of any significance to me is the macro photography, but that's not enough reason to upgrade.
The new iPhone looks great, especially Teal, but it's photo's are too bright. I've seen comparisons to the 13 and the 13 has better exposure. But this is minor, you can adjust it yourself or maybe Apple will fix it with an OS update
I do agree with this I went from the OnePlus 8T at 120hz to 12mini at 60hz there was a little difference for sure but not how it would be for a 60hz android phone in comparison
Someone said wirelessly charging your iPhone ain't good because it drains your battery health faster than wired charging. Also wired charging is just faster/better.
Wireless charging doesn't drain your battery health faster. Heat does. Wireless charging tends to run warmer than wired charging, that's the difference. If your phone stays cool while wireless charging it is fine.

There's a reason why even the basic Samsung Galaxy S24 has a 4,000 mAh battery.
i gave my brother a 250$ samsung and it have a 120hz, like on an entry phone, the 60hz just killed the non Pro 16 for me
@Sacto1654 Not much, actually.
@@KevinKevin-qp1lg enjoy the scam of apple not giving you a basic feature due to your ignorance.

Same! I’m digging that pink! And plus I want a smaller phone I’m debating between the 16 pro or 16 pink 🤔
Protip: Avoiding wireless charging leads to a healthier and longer lasting battery for long-term use
I tried the 16 vs the 16 pro side by side and that 120 hertz felt much better and not cheap or lagging so the pro is what I got. It’s much smoother
Is the size difference noticeable? I have a 13 mini which is the perfect size for me but I want a phone with better battery and camera and trying to decide between 15 pro or 16 pro, I would just get the 16 pro but I’m hesitant because of the size and weight increase. I previously had the 14 pro and I returned it because it was uncomfortable to use for me
So basically apple made you buy a basic feature for a premium price. Their mission is accomplished.

60Hz in 2024 is a disgrace. It’s like lcd vs oled.

Despite having 120hz, I use the S21 most of the time in 60hz because:
1 - I don't game on my phone.
2 - It saves some battery.
3 - I simply don't care having this super "fluidity" just to scroll menus and social media feeds.
If 120hz is important to you, fine. But not everyone needs it or actually care for it. And I consider myself as kind of a in between intermediary/heavy user.
💯Same, I set my phone to auto refresh rate to save on battery. I find most apps don't run at a full 120Hz all the time anyway.

Exactly.. well said…

Basic model It's enough for ordinary users. It's my personal opinion. And I love my 15 Pro.
It’s just not worth the 200 extra for me
I don't understand why they can't compromise with at least 90hz. 60hz is in the 100$ Android territory

Here where I live, the 15Pro is cheaper than the 16. The extras I get on the 15Pro don't outweigh the disadvantages of a non-pro for me rn
The thing that I dislike about the iPhone 16 is the 60hz display. I hate a choppy display and when I am using some other iPhone than my 15 Pro Max or a Pro model, I can instantly tell. Don’t see how its choppy. Stop the whining

They gatekeep 120hz because they know techies will buy the pro because it’s only “a couple hundred more”
But Apple making it harder and harder for me to justify spending big bucks on their phones. $899 for 60hz and 256gb of storage is robbery.
For the people that are upgrading to the Pro model, it’s because of the 120hz display. Every new iPhone should have 120hz display / ProMotion.

Deffo apples best colours for a while on the normal iPhones
one of the most beautiful iPhones ever!
I dig this design and colors but I cant stand 60hz. The pro is too expensive and boring design. I'd rather go with Pixel 9.
This is one thing that you can never change it, no matter how good the features is, but if you used to 120Hz , you can never go back to 60Hz.
Not true, some People turn it off to save battery and because its not a big deal when scrolling on a phone
@@redscorpion9325 when u used to turn on 120Hz and downgrade it, you will not feel comfortable bro

From a Realme 3 pro user willing to buy a new iphone for the first time
Should I better buy iphone 16 and without a doubt iphone's 16 hz will be better than my phone.
Or get the 16 pro?
Went from a 15 pro max to a 16 and I love it . Only reason I “down graded “ was for a new redesign. I got tired of the basic 3 camera design . I’ve had it since the 11 pro and tired of it .
Production quality and clear delivery made this an instasub. Well done 👍
The best video about the iPhone 16 I've seen on RUclips. Thank you from Brasil.
Thanks for the review Kyle. That new camera control is an appealing new feature.
i remember obsessing over kyles video when the iphone 15 came out.
I don't see a difference between 60 hz and 120 hz. So regular models are good enough for me.
I see a difference took me a min when I'm using a 60hz I can tell instantly it's all choppy when scrolling & lag when I'm using 120hz it's smooth when scrolling no choppiness you would have too use a 120hz phone for a few months in order too tell I'll never go back too a 60hz

The camera button only makes sense to use it in landscape...holding the phone upright and taking a picture using the button looks uncomfortable
ive seen people even have cases for the iphone 13 pro and up, blocking the camera control button on the side like what-
I care way more about the loss of a telephoto lens than I do about 120hz. I wish the Pro came in 6.1 and those colours the base 16 has. For the first time in years, im going away from pro, really glad we have the macro but will miss you tele me old friend
I am using Oneplus 7 in 2024 should I upgrade to Iphone 16+ or should I wait for next Iphone?
Im gonna buy this one instead of the pro. 120hz is a luxury i can forget. 😊 Im coming from 13 pro max.
Frankly I am an android user, I had super amoled 120 Hz displays ..turned to 60 Hz because I don't really need it.. don't know for me is more important to have some battery left at the end of the day, also I do love how iOS is taking videos one of the most important features that Android still lacks in quality
7:47 that's a good one, the portrait mode looks great!

You can adjust the camera control button to have harder or softer presses in settings
120hz eats up battery and makes the phone work harder. 60hz genuinely doesnt look bad, still smooth animations and movement. Is their a clear difference? For sure but at the cost of battery life and a few hundred more dollars, no thanks
Samsung galaxy has better battery life ay 120hz. So how does that work?
Honestly i dont really care about 120hz, give me any resident evil, change the camera layout instead of the usually square with 3 cameras and a long lasting battery and im sold
Coming from a 13 pro max I honestly do not see the difference I have the 16 plus in pink 😊😊
Then you see the 60hz screen and bezels side by side w the pro and are like “nope” lol
Glad I went with the 15 pro max after knowing that the base 16 still gets 120hz and yes I won't be going back to a 60hz screen.
Apple's 60Hz is far way better than other companies' 60Hz. I don't feel anything bad unless I compare pro and non-pro side by side.
It is simply not true.
Wireless charging doesn't drain your battery health faster. Heat does. Wireless charging tends to run warmer than wired charging, that's the difference. If your phone stays cool while wireless charging it is fine.

I feel like most of us get excited about the coolest and newest features only to play with it in the beginning and don't really incorporate it in our daily lives
120 hz screen can easily drain the battery so it doesn't matter to me if its 120 or 60 hz. As long as it's amoled/led.
i dont care about the 120hz . the 16 is perfectly fine for me and its a lot cheaper
If you don’t care about what’s new in these days, maybe you shiuld not use electricity anymore and not a fridge or a TV set !!!
Any other phone from this world that costs 170 $ US or more it has 120 Hrz without exceptions !!! It is a standard these days , but not for Apple that sells a 900 $ phone ( the base version ) that it feels in the hand when you are using it just like a 2015 phone . What a hell ???
I bet that if you will use a 120 Hrz phone for just about 5 minutes, after you will start using your phone again , you will think that your phone is a faulty unit !!!
@ ur analogy is wild ngl . lol , but hey u can always buy the pro if u fancy 120hz that much or buy that 170$ phone u said if u cant afford the pro , there's plenty of options out there but yet still chose to complain what u dont have

Great review! In your opinion if you have the regular 13, would you consider upgrading to the 16 or holding off another year?
can't really answer that, as it's a personal choice, but it'll be a big upgrade!
