I usually buy rhinoshield but I hate how they have a cut out for camera control so I went for one of the OtterBox cases that Apple sells. Also, I have the regular iPhone 16 and did not have the option to switch to swipe under the camera control settings. Also, audio mix sounds almost exactly like the mic you used for this video. Really good!
@@SalinaStarr as someone with cases with and without the cutout, the cutout is the way to go. And I said the opposite for the action button: I prefer the button on the action button. I just find the cover to interfere more with the delicate presses than the cutout does. Personal preference though! And yes, audio mix is so awesome!

We should all start a campaign for Apple to finally give us a professional course on how to make the most of their cameras and all the tricks they offer. At least for beginners like me lol
Flolab is the best screen protector money can buy. Doesn't apple already do these things at their stores? I remember seeing little classes going on showing old people how to use their iphones.

It's not that I want to be picky, but this new iPhone has me disappointed, so much so that after thinking about it so much I'm going to change it. My 15pro is like new, I just have to change the case, which is worn out.
I had to change it because the battery of my 15 was damaged but otherwise I still had it, and with respect to the cases where I bought mine, they also have it available for yours, which are the Vionentus Elites.
I'm a real dummy. I can't even turn the new 16 on or off. Screen is locked on some camera showing a square and a sun symbol. From there I can't get it to do anything.

Am I the only one who got the hang of the new camera control functions 1st try and find it really easy to use. It’s way faster than tryna find then open up the camera app highly recommend saves you so much time when tryna get that instant shot before it gets messed up.

For faster wired charging, the current understanding is that you need a charger that supports 15V @ 3A. It doesn't matter if it supports higher voltages or total wattage, it has to support 15V specifically.
I like how the studio setting reduced reverb but I don’t like how it removed quite a bit of bass from your voice. As an audio engineer I would be very curious as to the ‘chain’ of events (both hardware and software) that Apple is using to deliver these options and what they are ACTUALLY doing. Maybe a deep dive at some point?

I think that the Studio option for audio mix just makes it sound like the microphone is closer to your mouth and less tinny. It definitely sounds better than default audio that's for sure.
I think the real studio mic actually sounds better but if you raised the volume of the playback of the studio mode on iPhone I think it would maybe(?) sound better

My 16 does not have clean preview on/off option so they probably figured out it was pointless. I wish the new camera button would release the shutter with less than 10 pounds of pressure but It's handy for launching the camera, which I then trip the old way, with a tap on the screen. You can see in your video how much the camera moves when you push the new camera button. And by the way, I'll bet you know this, but it's codec, not Kodak. One of the best videos I've ever seen on RUclips.

This video was super informative unlike all the other clickbaity iPhone 16 videos out there. I am so glad I came here because I would never have been able to get my camera to 48mp, and I was able to configure my phone to 4k60 video. Default it was set to 1080p30 and I was wondering why the video quality wasn’t looking better than my 13 lol. I also became accustomed to the camera button. Thank you
I have my phone set to 90 and i accidentally forgot it was charging it still charged to 100% so i don’t think tha battery thing works the way ur explaining it
the only thing i don't like about the photo app is when you take a photo 16:9 and you tap it it minimizes and also if you press settings it gets smaller again if you want to edit it. i would like it to stay the same size and the setting menu can just pop up without minimizing the picture size. Same thing happens with videos. Other than that i don't have a problem with it.

difference between HEIF max and JPEG max is that HEIF is a different file compression and keep less data than JPEG, JPEG MAX is better, but takes up more space.
Hello your video is very useful. Today I bought the iphone 16 and made several setting changes and finally I ended up by highlighting my front camera with a black strip. I see that in your video also. Your front camera is also highlighted in balck. Pls help me to undo that
I like my iPhone 16 Pro, but may return it, as no one can tell me if Audio Max works with ProRes LOG footage; and no one, including Apple, can tell me how to change Audio Max settings for LOG clips (if it's available for LOG) in an external editor. In Fairlight I see just two audio tracks with ProRes LOG clips. I assume from this that (a) ProRes LOG doesn't record Audio Mix; and (b) if I shoot in other formats, maybe the phone will record a separate audio track for each Audio Mix setting so that I can choose the one I like in an external editor.

just a heads up guys if you choose to use pro raw & apple prores it will eat your memory up because of huge file sizes, those options should be used with a memory bank attached to the phone so goes straight in the memory bank!

I use Vionentus screen protectors. The touch sensitivity is great.. I could cry when I touch an iPhone screen that feels totally rough.. 😭
Spigen screen protectors are good and easy to install. They also have camera lens protectors

The new photos app is super good to be honest. Very simple and easy to use for all ages, and if you want to customize it you have the option too.

When setting up your iPhone 16, use the "transfer from iphone" option. Then you can choose what apps you want to transfer.

There is nothing called ‘slower’ 5g speeds between models. If they both have 5g then it will be the same speed.
